Couldn't agree more. His work with DOA is unequalled. He was great in Black Flag and Circle Jerks. Haven't heard much of his later work but he's definitely a classic punk drummer
one of the last concerts my Dad visited. he there saw SD for the first time and went on to buy all their Cds. he loved their music. R.I.P. Dad * 1942 - † 2012. still love & miss you 😢
I saw these guys in Houston for the first time in 1996 when they were touring WLWHWT. I snuck into the club through the side door and watched them soundcheck. Afterwards they walked over and I got all my stuff signed. Mike asked if I was excited for the show and I mentioned to him that I snuck in and didn't actually have a ticket, he smiled then asked my name and told me "you're seeing this show now, Dave." Stang up guys, were Mike, Dennis, John and Chuck. Super cool and down to earth people. Mike walked by when Chuck was signing my Danzig vinyl and mockingly said "Mother!" Lol. RIP Dennis Danell.
Man that's awesome! That's my favorite album, he never came to my city for that tour...only surrounding cities. I heard Mike is mad cool...he survived Cancer good to see him back on tour! He won't do much of this album at all.. Untitled to me is the best song on that album..
Chuck gave me a drum stick after a Danzig show at the Celebrity theater in Phoenix in 1992 I think. Glen Danzig was kind enough to give me the bird in response to my flipping him off first. Great memories of my youth.
got that right I totally agree!! Best era was Dennis and Chuck in the band, just my opinion. Lucky enough to have seen that lineu numerous times. In Philly show one time Chuck came out from behind the kit to back up mike who was getting crap from knuckleheads in crowd that swung on him. Man, I would not wanna get a beat down from Mr. Biscuits, he looked psycho, got halfway into crowd before security pulled him back. And props and respect to he brother Spit Stix, who, in my silly ass opinion is the best hardcore pun drummer ever. Peace all!
We saw Mike at the tribute to Cash in Cleveland. He burned the damn place down with "Burning Ring Of Fire". The show was over when he walked off the stage. It was what it was. I was there. TREMENDOUS performance.
My upmost respect to Mike Ness when he started social distortion in summer of 79 I got hooked immediately with punk but back pleope we're negative of us punk rockers they use to fights with construction workers and the high school football team but we had to unite and kick some ass and we prevail victorious
Evan Dando right there at 4:06 being pushed from the stage 😅Were they touring with The Lemonheads on this one? 'Give me The Head of Evan Dando' on the bassdrum is pretty hilarious too
Been there! Guess you could find me in the mosh pit if you look close... What a great night, what a great line up. Lemonheads, Offspring, Tocotronic and Suede played that night among others...
Chuck Biscuit on two speed down but still suprime , my frst love Gorilla Biscuits, the Clash,Social Distortion,Descendents,Circle Jearks aftter 34 years are still on my every day playlist
I was at that show. Social D at the top of their game, if you ask me. They had really found their style, beyond cowpunk, and before mellowing down into an americana-rolling-stones-copy. What can I say, Mike was a style icon for years, influencing thousands of greaser punks, and if you look at this video, you can understand how every boy wanted to be like him.
Just Gold top, stacks, pissed off with heart & passion. 👍 None of these fucking stage props & fashion shows. That’s why they’ll never top White Light again.
DerEchteBold No kidding ;) There are very few in the music industry that have their own indisputably unique sound and Mr. Ness has just that. To me his sound is as unique as a fingerprint and as recognizable as a loved ones voice.
That was the highlight of a rather boring Rockpalast night. Because of "Don't Drag Me Down" I immediately bought "White Light, White Heat, White Trash". It's just a pity that the song "Can't Run No More" only appeared much later on the special version of "Hard Times And Nursery Rhymes".
Guilherme Are you Bulgarian?! (👉 Todorov) Because I live there. (Sandanski, Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria) And everyone is called Todorov here. (or similar) 😂 😜 🖖 🇨🇭 🤝
They have changed a few times, only Mike Ness is the constant. Personally I like the current line up the best. Although I do like this set up as well. White Heat White Light White Trash Sex, Love, and Rock and Roll Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes are my three favorite albums of any band anytime.
Everything about them is one cliche on top of another cliche. Every song is three chords that can be learned in two minutes. Their look is some sort of stereotype of what guys 🎉looked like in late 40's early 50's. But hey who am I to talk, they "made it" are semi-famous and lived their dream.
Chuck Biscuits one of the greatest punk rock drummers of all time
Couldn't agree more. His work with DOA is unequalled. He was great in Black Flag and Circle Jerks. Haven't heard much of his later work but he's definitely a classic punk drummer
His stylish left hand signature beat is unparalleled.
😂
👌
100% agree
@@timmackenzie8145 Ever heard of Danzig?
Hell yeah! Love his energy in this video despite his age.
one of the last concerts my Dad visited. he there saw SD for the first time and went on to buy all their Cds.

Cool rocking daddy!
Your dad knew the meaniing of life Bless you Brother,Sister...x Whateve..

Holy poop! The sound and visual quality of this recording for 1997 is outstanding. This is what punk rock dreams are made of. Thanks for uploading.
Awesome performance I’m glad Mike Ness is still around and rocking
The sound is perfect! Everything is as it should be, the guitars bring flavor, the bass holds down the low end, the drums pierce through it all.
Chuck gave me a drum stick after a Danzig show at the Celebrity theater in Phoenix in 1992 I think. Glen Danzig was kind enough to give me the bird in response to my flipping him off first. Great memories of my youth.
Great show - thank you very much for sharing this!
This is them at their best!! Chuck Biscuits can't be beat!!

+John Mousheghian No, Chuck is fuckin crazy anyway. But he's a fun guy and a very damn good drummer.
Agreed! My favorite lineup! Chuck Biscuits 1945 was amazing live.
Exactly !!!
Chuck biscuits really was the best punk rock drummer of all time. Rip!
He is alive tho
Rip?? He’s not dead
That was a rumor!
It’s wild when you make a list of all the influential bands that Chuck was in, even for just a split second.
This is definitely my favorite era.
I saw that first on VHS rip. Today this live closed 26 years. Still on of the best rock & punk bands in history.
Chuck Biscuits is so amazing. Social Distortion at its best. Thank you so much for that great quality, Guilherme Todorov
!
We saw Mike at the tribute to Cash in Cleveland. He burned the damn place down with "Burning Ring Of Fire". The show was over when he walked off the stage. It was what it was. I was there. TREMENDOUS performance.
By far the best SD lineup!!!!! 🎵🎸R.I.P. DENNIS 🎸🎶
Dunno if it’s the lineup or the simple fact they were pissed off again after all those years of whatever they were doing
Much more talent in today's lineup. They are pretty much a super group today
Mike's 'pedal board' at his feet. All you fucking need. 15:23
His "pedal board" even shares the same initials as his band.
Boss "SD-1"
Can't be a coincidence.
Wow, I didn't think of that! :D
Amen!
holy crap this is crisp! thanks for the upload man!
My upmost respect to Mike Ness when he started social distortion in summer of 79 I got hooked immediately with punk but back pleope we're negative of us punk rockers they use to fights with construction workers and the high school football team but we had to unite and kick some ass and we prevail victorious
Best SD concert on youtube 🙏
I like the one from cbgbz
Chuck Biscuits on drums!
Yea he's a freaking beast
no he is a beat!
I arrived here for him!
The MAN!
The best !!!
Evan Dando right there at 4:06 being pushed from the stage 😅Were they touring with The Lemonheads on this one? 'Give me The Head of Evan Dando' on the bassdrum is pretty hilarious too
Social D in their prime!
Chuck Biscuits is killing it! And Mike Ness is a punk rock dream boy! "The way she Comes when I Tell Her To" 😊
Been there! Guess you could find me in the mosh pit if you look close... What a great night, what a great line up. Lemonheads, Offspring, Tocotronic and Suede played that night among others...
Been wondering for many years who else was on the bill.. Nice one.
So Who were the other bands ? :)
Sau Geil 22 Jahre ist das her.... Viel Danke!
Rockpalast always had the best sound of any live concert show Bands never sound better. . The Big Country one is off the damn charts also.
7:08 Best Song ever. 10:28 Best Sequence.
Yeah ! I think Untitled has a very unique and super cool riff !
Cali Old School punk... Fuking getting it!!!.
White Light White Heat is Social D's best album.
Thank you for posting this!
Fantasztikus! Valaki, aki komolyan gondolja, amit csinál! 10 pont!
Beautiful!! Thanks for uploading it.
Looks awsome for been a 1997 footage. Thanks for sharing!
Best band ever!, i will go and see them in a a few days ^^
"Untitled" absolutely my favorite song of all time from Social D, he doesn't perform at all.. such a great song!!
The bridge in that song is outstanding 🤘
@@HolyShnikeez_1975 So good, I can never get tired of that song!
Chuck Biscuit on two speed down but still suprime , my frst love Gorilla Biscuits, the Clash,Social Distortion,Descendents,Circle Jearks aftter 34 years are still on my every day playlist
Damn! Chuck Biscuits!!!!!
Years go by, music stays
This is the best lineup
Amazing
quality!
Chuck is a beast!
Mike can recite a humpty dumpty sat on a wall as a song. Hes good at delivery of a simple lyric.
This set RIPS!!!
25 years ago today 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Best band ❤🤠
Melhor live dos caras!!! Memorável
Chuck Biscuits is unreal.
Chuck Biscuits forever, man!
I like the green "Ego Box" the singer stands on. If a band mate enters it, he's fired. 🤣🤣
Is that a real thing, or you make it up 😂😂
Amazing set
Maravilhoso!
Chuck on drums, hell yeah
Perfecto 👍👍
Also für eine tv produktion ist die kamera, bildregie sehr dürftig ausgefallen. Ansonst top soundquali!
Gagah dari dulu
FUCK YEAH!!!! CHUCK IS ARGUABLY THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!!
For sure

maybe the best SD line up ever? It's a shame the just had a support slot on this one...
RIP Dennis.
Rip Dennis
And Evan Dando himself walks in at 4:06 :D
BISCUITS!!
Lyrics of "I Won't Run No More" are so different here...
This was the first ... broadcast? Shared? Whatever versions of that song. It was on bootlegs long before a studio version came out.
Is that Thomas Nordegg at the beginning?
29:15 🔥
Does anyone know what rack tom Chuck's playin'? 14x15? 15x16?
Just Gold top, stacks, pissed off with heart & passion. 👍 None of these fucking stage props & fashion shows. That’s why they’ll never top White Light again.
I just went outside and try to spit and turn into a big cloud of spoof like Mike Ness it didn't work maybe he's gifted with his spitting knowledge
Haha, it's funny how they manage to never get the one soloing...
Mike's playing style makes it hard to discern though ; )
DerEchteBold No kidding ;) There are very few in the music industry that have their own indisputably unique sound and Mr. Ness has just that. To me his sound is as unique as a fingerprint and as recognizable as a loved ones voice.
What happened to Chuck Biscuits??
Biscuits!!!!!

Who were Social D opening for in this show?
Where's Biscuit🤘✊🥁
Guilherme
Are you Bulgarian?! (👉 Todorov)

Here we go.... biscuits
Absolutely hate I was wrong, other than that Social Dx rules, been seeing them since the beginning
this is California punk rock: The Rolling Stones.
It’s a cover dumb ass compare it to the original
Never seen this before and was great. But there where different members or is just me? Sounds so good and energetic
that was the old band
They have changed a few times, only Mike Ness is the constant. Personally I like the current line up the best. Although I do like this set up as well.
White Heat White Light White Trash
Sex, Love, and Rock and Roll
Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes are my three favorite albums of any band anytime.
Whatever to Chuck Biscuits.
Where is Chuck?
Retired. He lives in canada i think, his brother manages his fb page.
MOSH >>> HAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Die Werbung nach jedem Song nervt!!!
New band for me, a great rock band to be sure, but that drummer looks disjointed, but he hits every note. ( ! ! ?)
CHUCK BISCUITS.
Bildregie: 0 points.
big punk fan here. cant stand his voice unfortunately
