Strange. Couldn't find this video anywhere else, but it popped up after I finished the other Whiskey Myers video. Anyways, I'm happy for all the country folk out there getting some love again. Thanks for the reactions guys!
Glad to see yall hitting Whiskey Myers. They've got some good tracks on the new album (Tornillo) worth checking out. I won't drop songs here because I know you pick them from your IG but check it out.
Glad you're back on some country. Check out Hardy "Jack" and " Wait In The Truck". Also Frogmen are the Navy SEALs. Had a good time with those boys when I was a Corpsman (Medic) in the Navy.
These last two songs you have done from them have me almost convinced to check them out more. Good blend of rock/southern rock/country... Kind of hitting that Chris Stapleton/Lynyrd Skynyrd vibe--borderline Black Crowes.
They’ve got some great stuff. Some of my favorites are Reckoning, Home, Calm Before the Storm, Virginia, Strange Dreams, Stone, Die Rockin, Mona Lisa, Glitter ain’t Gold, Bury my Bones, John Wayne, Antioch… they are a great band 🤘🏽
In the U.S. military and intelligence community, divers trained in scuba or CCUBA who deploy for tactical assault missions are called "combat divers". This term is used to commonly refer to Navy UDTs, Navy SEALs, Navy SARC, and the Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) units. Navy SWCC have frogmen heritage of combat swimming rather than diving, one of the few and most elite units trained in this element. Other Frogmen units include Marine Raiders Marine Recon, elements of US Army Special Forces (Green Berets) Combat Divers, Army Ranger Regimental Reconnaissance Company, Air Force Pararescue, Air Force Combat Controllers, and Air Force Special Reconnaissance, as well as operatives of the CIA's Special Activities Center.
In my opinion Whiskey Myers is the 2nd best band out right now (TOOL being #1). As for live, I don't know a band that is better with the production that Whiskey Myers has. I've seen most of the biggest bands of the last 25-30 yrs and they belong in the top with the best. Glad they are finally getting their recognition.
Seen em sat night in San Jose, second row seats.....guitarists blew me away🤘🤘🤘 Seen em with my daughter Haley, seen tool couple years ago with my other daughter Hannah. Both bands are awesome 🤘🤘🤘
@@gleneckert1 I was able to catch Tool earlier this year in Louisville and they cannot be touched live (They're just on another level). I've caught Whiskey Myers twice this year (Louisville and Indy) and there isn't a band that I have seen that just fires on all cylinders and rocks out every song like they do. No good time to go to the restroom or buy a shirt for either band...
@@jerredwayne8401 One does not go through a Tool "phase". If so I've been in one for over 25 years. As for Whiskey Myers I only found them about 3 yrs ago. I was a casual fan (Pandora) until I seen them live back and I knew during their first song "John Wayne" (before it was released) we were seeing something special and have since bought all their cds and they're my 2nd favorite band behind Tool.
@@christophermoney2985 I became a tool fan after being a Whiskey Myers fan. But I've listened to both constantly ever since. Alice in Chains is another constant for me
Those ticket prices were a little steep for where they were. My wife and I saw them a few months ago and paid the same price for way better seats. We had a blast. I managed to get it recorded live.
You reacted to one of the least memorable tracks from Chris Stapleton's last LP. Even though it's been out for a minute, I'd like to see you get back to alteast one more song from it.
Earlier this week I saw ya'll did some reactions to Nas new album. I've loved Nas since (Who's world is this) PLEASE do a reaction to one of his old cut's, and possibly the greatest lyrical story telling song EVER, (I gave you power).
I think I'm beginning to learn the meaning of "derivative," because this sounds a whole lot like Kid Rock, to me. That being said, it's not bad. I wouldn't call it great, but it's certainly 'listenable.' I kinda feel that way about a lot of modern country/pop. But, if I'm being honest, I kinda hate that I get to lump "country" and "pop" into the same sub-genre. That's not how it's supposed to be. Which is why people don't like modern country music, I 'd wager. But, at the same time, and I know this will sound dumb... I kinda hear some Aerosmith in this? For that perfect country sound, I recommend Aaron Tippin's "You've Got to Stand for Something," or "There Ain't Nothing Wrong with the Radio" But, weirdly enough, for that Aerosmith sound, I'd recommend "Same Old Song and Dance," or "Back in the Saddle" for a similar sound to this song. I still strongly recommend some melo-death, though. It's the genre you guys have been waiting for: Grooves, heaviness, mixtures of vocals, etc. It's the perfect genre for you. As such, I recommend "Holographic Universe" by Scar Symmetry.
Nothing against Kid Rock but Whiskey Myers is on another level as musicians from anything Kid rock has ever done in my opinion, Whiskey Myers are as far from Pop music as one can get almost 😂 more southern rock/country/red dirt hybrid in my opinion, you need to do a deep dive to understand maybe. Hopefully you’ll check out some more from them they are a great band, great musicians and are fantastic live band 🤘🏽
Cody Cannon wrote Frogman as a tribute to a couple of his friends who are Navy SEALS
Everything about this band is STRONG !! Both guitarists are amazing ! Vocalist fits perfect & their songwriting is superb !!
If you haven't already, you've gotta see them live. We usually go to 3 or 4 shows a year.
Agreed
Navy Seals are also known as Frogmen or UDT Seal Diver
Yep and known as bad mfers
This band is a southern treasure.. I actually met them once! Very nice guys ❤😊 Much love from Texas! Thanks for all the great content

Glad to see yall hitting Whiskey Myers. They've got some good tracks on the new album (Tornillo) worth checking out. I won't drop songs here because I know you pick them from your IG but check it out.
I saw Whiskey Myers in concert back in 2019 and 2021. Both were great shows
Early Mornin' Shakes is the song to do from these guys.
Still have to check out "The Wolf" & "John Wayne" off their new album.
Saw them last month. Best rock concert I’ve seen in a long time
Glad you're back on some country. Check out Hardy "Jack" and " Wait In The Truck". Also Frogmen are the Navy SEALs. Had a good time with those boys when I was a Corpsman (Medic) in the Navy.
David B on Patreon just told me this was here.... Can't wait to watch. Thanks so much!
This band is in insane live! Formally y'all out there that have not seen them, DO IT! They are an addicting live band.
This feels like the spiritual successor to Mississippi Queen.
These last two songs you have done from them have me almost convinced to check them out more. Good blend of rock/southern rock/country... Kind of hitting that Chris Stapleton/Lynyrd Skynyrd vibe--borderline Black Crowes.

Y’all should do a video on mud off the mud album. It’s badass.
It’s a song about frogman, which is (navy seals)
Frogman refers to navy seals, and you will hear them reference UDT's, which are underwater demolition team, which were the predecessor to the Seals
Been a fan for a long time! Love them!
Hey guys. Get there early. Rival Sons are opening and they are one of the best bands on the planet. They will blow you away.
Man y’all gotta react to their new single John Wayne! It’s funky as hell!
That’s maybe my favorite from the new album
I love that you guys are revisiting country. And I would love to see a reaction to jelly roll

Whisky myers puts on a hell of a live show
Couldn't agree more. We'll be going to our 4th show this year in a few weeks and already have tickets for two shows next year.
Definitely one of favs. Glad to see yall enjoy them so much.
Check out "Waiting for the Thunder" by Blackberry Smoke. You'll love it
