These guys are playin the smaller venues which are more up close and personal for their fans, but in my opinion, they have the talent to sell out the bigger 15k-20k seat venues. Great songwriters, play all the old-skool instruments, awesome front man in Cody Cannon and he has 2 friggin downright string-shredders on each side of him. Two of their main influences are Skynyrd and Hank Jr. which should be enuff said!! From the words of the late, great Ronnie Van Zant, he is looking down here and telling these boys to "brang all my mules out here and kick 'em one time". The band has a ton of incredible stuff, but that song, one of the best ever written. Found you guys after watching a reaction to a TOOL song.
Love yalls review of the song and how awesome it is! Although interpretation of a song is up to the listener, I think the meaning behind this song is spoken from the bands point of view of always living on the road, looki my for the end, that last show so they can go home to the loves waiting! It’s a long journey that’s fun but also strenuous on relationships! The night is their companion, always playing shows at night, that beacon is the last show to return home! The bottle is reference to partying and masking that desire to be home! Drinking your sorrows and having fun with guys and all so you don’t dwell on missing the ones at home! Keeps you smiling and singing (playing music) Have you turned to stone to me is a question asked to the person they left, are you still loving me or have you changed your time and turning your back on me and leaving! The things you love will drain you from everything you owned to be out there alive, musicians grow up dreaming of making it! Countless hours of practice and perfecting playing a instrument in order to make music! They dream of being in concert and playing to thousands cheering! So that is what they loved! But there is a price to be paid for that fame and it’s time away from the ones that can’t travel and be with you! Everything you own and live is what you left to seek this stage life! Double edge sword! Parasites, you nailed it, the music industry is dirty and everyone knows it!! Now this is my view, could be off but I don’t think I am too far off!
Whiskey Myers was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen hands down
