I loved how you literally started out with a wonky not-so-good camera setting and worked your way and talked us through how step by step how you made it better.
Bro, thanks a lot, even bigger youtubers didn't explained this with depth like you did in this video. Those expensive and fancy cameras don't reflect most people reality's... For real, thanks a lot!
Don't know who you are but I'm about to inherit a canon t3i from my father and this video alone deserves respect enough to like and subscribe. Absolutely phenomenal and thank you
I don't comment on many videos, but I implemented the tips that you laid out and the difference was night and day! I am very appreciative of the lessons you showed and this allows me to take my t4i much more seriously for videography! Thank you!
Man, I remember paying over $600 for mine right about 10 years ago. It has been a pretty great camera but I never used it for video. Thanks a ton for this video!
Thank you so much for this. I bought a T3i during 2021 lockdown to make guitar videos and I struggled so much to get the quality I just learned from this video. The more and more stuff I bought, cables + softbox etc, the more frustrated I found myself getting and ended up not picking my guitar up again for 3 months 😢 I picked the camera back up again recently, determined to figure it out finally and this video really drove it home for me. Iv finally gotten the quality I wanted out of the T3i. Honestly thank you so much. Now I can start planning buying a better camera that iv ‘completed’ this camera 😅
Congrats on the eventual success with your camera. I also have a T3i but I haven't been able to find a video tutorial that explains how best to setup Magic Lantern on it for the best results. Can you help?
bruh you won my heart for this moment. +1 subscriber. very well explained. I own a 600d and I felt so proud after your explanation to own this as my first cam and still using it 7 years down.
This video also has a very important extra meta-lesson included. The instant reaction in our consumer based society is to upgrade and blame equipment when really we can make great things by adding just a little bit of sweat equity to what we already have. Gratitude!❤ Subscribed. 👏👏👏👏🙏🏼
I use to do professional photography years and years ago. The same lighting for portraits and family portrait and studio work is basically the same. This guy explained it really well so if you’re starting video or still camera, take this video with heart. Nicely done.
I am so, so pleased with what you discussed in this video and how you discussed it, it was beautifullly organized and clear, and the results were fantastic. I have the exact camera as well, and I'm applying everything you taught right now! I think the sharpness of the Sony looked less "film-like" due to the softness of earlier film, so that this camera ended up possibly looking better in some ways to my eye, or at least more cinematic and like older films. I would love to learn more like this from you about this and other cameras and how to get the "film look" using all kinds of equipment, phone cameras, the DJI Osmo (and OSMO+), how to use all these things, free color correction software and how to use it, free editing software, whatever you may be familiar with, particularly everything to master cinematography from what you've learned over the years, studied, and put into practice, and things you learned from experience which people hadn't demonstrated to you or taught you. I'd love to be able to use the cheapest and oldest sorts of digital equipment in order to make cinematic looking scenes, photos, and videos!
I actually have the canon 600d, was also a gift and I was saving money to buy a new one and completely forgot about my camera until before 2 days and started testing and your video helped me a lot thanks!
Thank you so much! Ive had my t3i for years and haven’t used it in a long time. So I’m trying to re-learn how to use it. Great video! I learned so much!
Thanks bro! I have a T3i and haven’t used it in a couple of years. Looking forward to put these new learned tips to use! Also, the quality of this video is amazing, idk why you don’t have more views. New sub!
You did an excellent job. It is not only an art to use old cheap stuff in order to learn. It is also a value good for your character to resist the promises of the mmarketing power, the most important learning for life. Excellent English by the way
It's 7/2/2024 and I'm watching from VA USA, thanking you for this encouraging video! I have a Rebel T3i and wasn't sure how to use it or if it was even worth trying. Can't wait to set up and give it a try. Sub'd and will be back to watch again and take notes.
This video is exactly for me. I have an old camera I bought secondhand. Just figured out how to make a video today by watching UA-cam videos. Now, I need to figure out how to make it not look grainy! Thank you, sincerely!
Thank you kindly. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get this camera and now I know it can do what I need it to do and how to do it. Super helpful my friend.
Fabian, this is such an excellent and very helpful video lesson. I have a T4i and am going to apply your insights as soon as possible. Thank you so much.
hey your video tutorial is really really supportive and easy to apply, and yes im still using a 600d camera and it gives an amazing quality and i'm using your tutorial to adjust my canon 2000d hope it works fine 🥰
This was very helpful! Thank you! I have a Canon Rebel T2i with a 50mm lens and I really needed to understand the settings I should use for UA-cam videos. Until I can upgrade, thanks for all of your tips! 🎉😊

wow! such a great informative video, thank you Fabian
Thank you for this very straightforward and easy video... I am a novice with a T5i and have been experiencing some difficulties with the exposure. I will incorporate your techniques on my next video. Thanks, again!
Excellent video. It shows that quality is with skills, experience and understanding. Not always the equipment. Thanks for demonstrating such an important lesson in photography.
Hello Fabian, thanks for this video. You gave me hope and inspiration to use my Canon T5i as webcam. I have a Fuji X-T4 that I recently started to use. I also have a Razer Kiyo Pro and Logitech C920. I was gonna shelf my T5i. But after watching this video, I am determined to use it as secondary or tertiary camera. 🙏
Hallo! Neue lerne auf Deutsch, so entschuldigung fur mein schlecht grammatik, aber ich habe ein Rebel T100. Danke fur dein video. Es sehr gut und informative. I have subscribed!
@FabianBrucker I have a quick question about the t3i canon rebel camera, here is my situation: I want to record videos in my own room but what I notice is that my camera will only record a portion of my room and it's chair but not the whole room I want my camera to zoom in on my room like yours did in 2:43 How can I make that happen and what practical steps can I take to make sure my camera is more zoomed out on my room fully like it is with yours, Thanks!
It’s all about the focal length of your Lens (the mm value) - the lower it is, the more is in frame. To get more of your room you need sth around 16-35mm I would suggest
Amazing tutorial. In extension it would be great if you could do a video on have to connect it to a computer and use as a webcam for streamers to record i OBS and similar software 😊
To be honest I never used this Camera - but from what I heared it‘s a pretty good deal for a beginner. But the Sony a6300 might also ne in this Price range, isn‘t it?
So so cool I’m still using my t3i for video products no regrets about it still awesome camera it really depends how a user use his camera thank you, i really like your style 😊👍
Great video, thanks! Just a couple questions referred to how you change the values you mentioned at the begining (shutter speed, ISO, aperture). Is the camera in Video mode? Do you change the values from the menu, or from the buttons? Thanks again!
Hi Fabian, I am trying to use my T3i for my youtube video. What I notice is that when I move around the focus becomes a problem. i.e. moving an item a few feet closer. Is there a way to set this so that it just take the whole scene kinda like landscape mode in camera? Thanks for the video.
You can close the aputure and use wide angle lenses so there is a larger focus area. But this does not make „all“ sharp. But it should help for the start 👍🏽
I loved how you literally started out with a wonky not-so-good camera setting and worked your way and talked us through how step by step how you made it better.

I inherited this camera from my mother, I was about to sell it and look for a new one, thank you for saving me the headache ❤
Perhaps one of the best videos I've seen around making good use of old cameras. Well done 👌
Now this is lovely unlike some guys who are always trashing DSRL cameras
bruh you won my heart for this moment. +1 subscriber. very well explained. I own a 600d and I felt so proud after your explanation to own this as my first cam and still using it 7 years down.

Nice video man awesome 👌
There's a huge difference in sharpness & processor performance in low light.
The Canon T3i should be able to raise its sharpness, right?
do you recommend the M50 forbeginners?
