Nice to see other folks still rocking the T3i. Great video.

Good stuff! I started with 35mm film as a hobby and I bought my T3i about 6 years ago. I still use it today. I'm always learning new things about how to properly use all of the functions that it keeps me from upgrading. It does force you to think about your shot but that's kind of the point, right? I'm surprised at how many new "budget" cameras Canon releases and they don't have as many features that the T3i has. It's incredibly robust. I invested in lenses instead of a new camera. You're right about the ISO. It's an old camera and can only be pushed so far. But it's a great, affordable camera to learn the Canon workflow on.

I need to learn from you because I'm having a hard time with my t6s but I do have magic lantern on my Eos m so lets try that

Yeah anything over 4 is gonna cause muddy. If you have to do it, it’s best to use the standard color profile so that there’s at least some baked in contrast and color.

So you don’t think I should have used neutral picture profiles? If I want to exceed 400 iso

@@LouisLuzuka neutral is good too. It really comes down to personal preference. Standard with -2 sharpening and -1 for saturation and contrast is what I like to use in those circumstances. Neutral with the t3i is splotchy on my face. Better cameras like the sl2 and 80d I don't have that issue with neutral if that makes sense.

@ interesting 🧐 u think it’s the same for the t6s and eos m that’s what I’m using…. But I’ll do some testing as well I used to have the SL2 I loved that camera , is there a chance there’s other models you’d consider ? Like 70/80/90d or sl3? Or they can’t use magic lantern I’m currently just using what I got and not planning on buying anything else but what lenses do you find work best besides the 24mm pancake that’s my favourite lens I even speed boost it on the eos m

@LouisLuzuka I still have and use a 80d. I should make an updated color style video with it. I’d keep using what you have. The 24mm is definitely one of the best budget lenses especially around f4. The other lens that I really think is a must is the sigma 18-35.
