"'Possessor' has an obvious Celtic Frost reference, as they were always a main influence for us," comments vocalist/guitarist Anton Reisenegger. "But it also has all the Pentagram trademarks: the 'spider riffs', as Shane [Embury] calls them, the tone-semitone-tone-semitone scales, the abrupt rhythm changes, etc. And the lyrics deal with good old demoniac possessions. We've played this song live a few times already, and it went down a storm. We wanted to keep the video simple, just capturing the band playing on stage with no gimmicks, and I think it turned out great!"

And the riffs seemed inexhaustible, each one leading into another, somehow even more sinister sequence. It was as impactful as hearing something like Seven Churches or Scream Bloody Gore for the first time. [...] The band's sound has remained intact and is just as timeless, powerful and horrifying now as it was in the 80s (and still was in the mid-90s when they first assaulted my eardrums).”

Pentagram en los 90s hubiera estado al mismo nivel de Canibal, At The Gates, Dismember, Napalm Death y varias bandas de death metal que salieron en esa época.

Con todo el flujo primario de la era oscura de los 80s , violencia en su estado puro y siniestro ,un power death thrash metal oscuro de la mas madrastra degollada por guitarras puntiagudas y filosas , con voces desgarradoras del inframundo y la supermakina golpeando duro los tarros del infierno ...!!!.....que terrible por dioos...!!...me gusta esa sensacion de encierro sofocante...abysmo film lo logra otra vez..!!!
