My favorite band of all south American for sure!! Still got my 45 record, up there with bathory ,Celtic frost, possessed ,slaughter lord, L. A's darkness!!!
Great Pre-south-american Death Metal ...they were unlucky a trendy producer at the time like Scott Burns did not pick them up like he did Sepultura. This had the potential to have been better than Sepultura. These demos are superior to Sepultura´s "Morbid Visions" in my opinion. Hail Pentagram and Chile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

back in the day it was harder to get the word out...if by chance you had a good connecta...you could have moved up...its good that in this digital age this can be shared and preserved!

me acuerdo se hablaba de ellos acá en argentina a principios de los 90s en medio de todo el death metal en que estabamos metidos , era como algo legendario junto con SARCOFAGO.
Lástima que casi nadie reconoce en el caso del Black Metal a Parabellum y Reencarnación; sin ellos, los escandinavos habrían tardado mucho más en llegar, o jamás llegado, a tal nivel de violencia sónica...
@@maxmordon7295 Nadie reconoce a esas bandas que mencionas porque nadie fuera de Colombia los conocía en los años 80's y 90's, Sudamérica en aquellos años era Sepultura, Sarcófago, Vulcano, Angkor Vat, Graf Spee, Hadez y Pentagram.

no es tan curioso, sucede que en Chile los ultimos en enterarse de estas maravillas de banda son los "Chilenos" se consume solo musica moda aca.

A veces uno prefiere darle mas apoyo a las bandas gringas, alemanas o de paises nordicos, sin tener en cuenta que acá (en América Latina) existen bandas como Pentagram, Masacre, Excomulgacion, Dies Irae, Miasthenia, Vulture, Voodoopriest, Charlie Parra... Solo por nombrar algunas, asi que dejemos de echarnos la mierda y apoyemos las bandas de nuestros paises.
No es cuestión de regionalismos estúpidos ni jueguitos tribales absurdos. Nada que hacer: gran parte de la música superior es europea y las bandas suramericanas precisamente surgieron a raíz de las mismas para, en determinados casos, retroalimentar y subir el nivel; los noruegos lo supieron y por eso idolatraban a Parabellum, Reencarnación, Sarcófago, etcétera...

MARAVILLOSO.... pentagram debio estar en lo mas alto de la esfera del death_trash metal del mundo.. considerando que son de 1987, cuando estaba aun en pañales el black metal en dscandinavia y sus cuentos que todos sabemos... en america latina teniamos bandad de otro nivel que fueron fuente de inspiracion para cientos de bandas que giran por el mundo

Latino America siempre fueron una massiva influencia para las bandas Europeas especialmente a los Noruegos.
Bandas Como pentagram, hadez, sarcofago, Reencarnacion, Sepultura, Holocausto, mystifier, atomic aggressor etc..
Los vi en temuco en 1987 y no tenian nada que envidiarle a los grandes del genero, brutalidad total.
Una banda a nivel mundial... grande Pentagram....

Hay una costumbre que se arraigó de un tiempo a esta parte en decir "acá en Sudamérica está el verdadero trash ,death etc y puede ser verdad pero todas son buenas y tienen su toque especial ya sea por el entorno o la geografía o la contingencia etc...dicho esto debo agregar que en mí vida aún no logro oír una banda que suene tan real y despiadada como Pentagram...gracias Chile por entregar al mundo está joya

En buena, entiendo el fanatismo y coincido que Pentagram es la raja.

es verdad..mejor producción y seria otra historia, pero por algo es así. casi todos los metaleros , de conocidos grupos los mencionan. mitch de napalm death tocó con criminal en el escenario demonic possession...1997. estuve allí, barney cantaba como perro resfriado (napalm) ..cosas del oficio.

DEATH METAL en su estado mas puro!! Poder a la vena, para destruir todo este nefasto sistema en el que vivimos. je je. Pentagram pioneros en nuestra escena metalera, chakalidad extrema y excelente. Los riffs asesinos, esa batería increíble y la voz desgarrada del Anton completan a por lejos la mejor banda death metal de Chile. A los que tuvimos la suerte de verlos en acción, nos dejaron boquiabiertos y con los cuellos adoloridos, pero felices. Ahh y como no notar la gran influencia de los padres del death metal mundial; POSSESSED y su gran primer álbum "Seven Churches". Pentagram fue, es y será una grandiosa banda del metal. Early Deicide is still Deicide. Good old school fucking Florida death metal, they might have some crappy albums but most bands have that one/these albums. They were true death metal back in the 90's and for me that doesn't change because of some shitty albums.

Definitely should have been signed back then.
Glad they weren't. Couldve ruined them. These demos are so raw but light years above most. Bands get too produced and it loses that unique style and sound that escape many bands that are more concerned with sounding good than writing killer songs.
