- In this explosive First Amendment audit, our team visits a local post office to exercise our right to film in public spaces. Things take an unexpected turn when a man enters the post office and starts screaming at us for filming him. As tensions rise, he storms out of the building, only to crash his car into another patron’s vehicle in the parking lot!

In all fairness to the old lady who hit the pole, they have caution tape on it probably because people hit it all the time.
One thing I can recommend if you don't mind. When dealing with older, frail people like that please do not surround him like that. They can be fearful of being outnumbered like that and may panic and attack, which could easily lead to his injury. Maybe one camera up front and the other two at a distance. You were very kind to him, just some advice from a long time counselor, verbal deescalation specialist, and non violent physical intervention specialist. I'm not a small guy and had to be reminded in my duties that certain means of presenting yourself and crew can unknowingly escalate a situation.
The number one rule we had was one voice. Police should do this but never do. When dealing with someone who is upset is "one voice only." Many different voices coming at a person who is already upset and maybe confused is to have multiple people talking to them. This one kind of came across as almost playground hanging up on someone and teasing them. One point of contact please.

It's not appropriate to make assumptions about someone's intentions based on their ethnicity or appearance. The person in question may be feeling frustrated or disrespected, but it's important to address concerns in a civil and respectful manner. If he was considering doing Kung Fu, it's possible that he feels his rights are being violated.
