People will respond that it's fine because the employees will do nothing with the footage. WRONG! There are thousands of videos on the internet where some is using a cell phone to record off the monitor connected to the security cams and then they upload those videos. There is NO expectation of privacy in public. It is up to the individual to create privacy for themselves if they require it. Put a hat on, wear glasses, find something to cover your mouth. That should be all the privacy anyone needs.

If you think he's actually going to prison, I think you're gonna be real disappointed. This happened in LaCanada Flintridge, which is in Los Angeles County. We don't put people in prison for attempted stabbings here. They happen all the time on the streets and buses and trains and L.A. Country District Attorney George Gascon doesn't prosecute the vast majority of them. He drops the charges and/or pleads them down to probation. He does everything he can to keep even the most violent criminals out of prison. So this guy? Very low odds he's going to prison at all. Probably a year or so of probation and some community service at most. And you'll be lucky to even get that.
Oh, and attorneys don't have to produce their bar card just because some random masked weirdo on the street demands it. That's ridiculous. As you like to say to all the people who you film, learn your laws.
