I've been enjoying this rash of videos. I never get tired of seeing the chickens pour down the ramp. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
They always remind of people getting out of a clown car! 💙
Dear Pete, you never cease to amaze me ! Your energy, planning, and versatile talents…. Thank you for sharing how the turkeys tuck in for the night 😊
Your channel, is actual therapy to me. It literally calms me down and I’m glad your around.
Loved it all...but the Turkey scene won the prize this time. Your videos are NEVER boring.
To make this upload while being so busy is very generous, thank you!
I have huge respect for you, Pete & Hillary for the farmstyle you champion with all the ups and downs; And am grateful you share it all with us your loyal fans!!! Have some fun you two!!! 😊
Loved seeing the turkeys get ready for bed 😍
Every time you startup a tractor you smile from ear to ear. Happy equipment happy farmer.
Nice idea to show the turkey before sleeping. Thank you.
The music for the turkey part of the video was priceless! Thanks for sharing.
The cleaned out barn looks great. And how much easier this winter to feed the cattle! Work smarter not harder 😊
Pensei o mesmo.
Ficava com dó em ver o gado exposto na época do frio.
Pete my husband watches you every day. He really enjoys your videos. I kid him all the time by saying if Pete says it's good then it's good. We both enjoy you a whole lot. So thanks from the Bloomers in Va.
Love you and what you stand for Pete! I live alone and sometimes it's hard for me to find motivation to work on my house and get stuff done alone. I wear your Just a few acres farm shirt and have your videos playing in the background. Something about that combination gives me the ability to get up and get stuff done. Thank you, Pete.
Pete, the turkey bedtime clip was indeed a treat.
Looks awesome Pete , can't wait to see the new shop get started ! Fun to watch the turkeys going to roost ! Thank You Pete ! GOD BLESS !!!
The barns look fantastic. Glad to have seen the journey. The workshop project will be exciting to watch also. 😊
Eu também!
👍
Turkeys going to bed. I could watch this again and again.
The ending with the turkey's was perfect!
Your hard work really pays off
Congratulations! What a lovely addition. Thank you for sharing. I can’t wait to see what Titus, Ordin(and the girls) think of their new digs!
Ahh, the self satisfaction when its snowing, blowing cold, and ya gotta feed a bale. All inside !!
You are so happy. Nice to see people loving what they do. Good choice on music with high-speed video of the turkey's nighttime ritual.
Those Farmall Tractors look amazing parked next to each other. You've done an amazing job restoring them Pete.
It must be very satisfying to have those barn jobs completed, your farm always looks so peaceful. Have a great day!
That was a great video. Things are coming along well and the ending was special. It was really cool to see the turkeys settling in for the evening. Thanks again and I will see you in the next one.
Good morning Pete, this is Darlene from California. I love your videos. I love you and your family and I love your old tractors. Thanks for being there.
OUTSTANDING from START to FINISH! As always. Watching your video IS a GREAT start to my day. Thanks Pete.
Enjoyed the video and watching the turkeys bed down for the night.
I like it when you share your construction and design experiences. Great content.
Looked like a beautiful day, Pete. There's something to the simple, complicated simplicity of an old tractor, in my opinion. Love the turkeys roosting ending. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Pete, your work around the farm never ever gets old, yip... everything thoroughly enjoyable 🙂🙂
It was an interesting video but the best part was SPENDING TIME WITH THE TURKEYS!!! Thanks Pete.
I love the turkeys getting ready for bed routine
You really got the bath looking great, and the upper barn has so much more room now. So excited about the new build of your shop, and so glad you are finally going to have the shop you dreamed of having. Really enjoy watching your videos, you and Hillary make me laugh every video. You are such a awesome creator and do a great job.
I've gotten to the point where I automatically click the thumbs-up as soon as the video starts. This may seem presumptuous but Just A Few Acres Farm has never put out a disappointing video in the few years I've been watching!
The description on gravel and compacting soil makes a lot of sense for base under a concrete slab. Building inspectors always make a determination if the soil under that foundation is dense and supportive enough for the weight and support of the concrete foundation and build. Those tractors finally found their own home to roost in like the turkeys.
Thanks, Pete. Your videos are an integral part of the daily routine and frankly, necessary to maintain my sanity. RED POWER!!!
Hello Pete. I enjoy your channel very much. I especially like when you and your wife are doing something there on the farm. You have some jokes that make me laugh and some jokes not so much.?. Don't feel bad I have had the same experience. When I say a flubber or something goes haywire I just tell people I have been shot down more times and Snoopy. I don't worry about it. I like watching you with your animals, I can tell they are very at ease around you. God bless you for treating them so well. I am a retired farmer and Walmart associate from Southeast Iowa. PS. I am envious of your new pole barn and keep up the farmers market videos and videos of you three guys at machinery auctions. Thank you for making my day brighter😊
Pete your progressing that is the main thing. Turkeys were hillarious😊 Thank you for the insite.🦃🦃🦃🦃
Thanks Pete for a respite from this crazy world
The turkey thing was a cute idea and my wife and I really enjoyed it. As a plus, we learned something about turkey behavior.
The long stare and nod into the camera made me crack up. I really love your sense of humour. ❤😂
Glad you are getting to the end of the build and able to use the areas in the way you want. Loved watching the turkeys. Thank you.
As a fellow gear-head, I really enjoy the tractor startup/warmup sequences. It's like I'm standing there helping Pete out.
I wish i could cook a turkey, im in a nursing home. My cooking days are over. But i can still enjoy youns videos.Thank you and God bless.
Ok that time laps of the turkeys was just what I needed to get through the day.. Thanks!!
I have to say love the animal finally, you guys have a great place, thank you for making these videos as always
Oh what a wonderful treat that was, watching the turkeys go to bed! lol I enjoyed that so much. Watched it twice. Please do that again. :)))) Thank you, Pete
Looks like a Red Power Tractor show inside the barn! 👍
Absolutely love the sound of the old tractors!
Nice work on that storage barn! Absolutely loved the late part with the turkeys! Like waiting for your kids to get their last drinks and snacks before bedtime!
Very entertaining video, I sure got tired watching the turkeys getting ready for bed... I fell asleep for a bit myself. Thanks Peter and Hillary for all you do, your channel is a blessing for all us viewers. Be well, best wishes. 😊
It's a Sunday afternoon with my feet up and my favorite 40lb chicken that identifies as a dog has her head on my lap while I'm playing an "air base" with my fingers up and down her back along to the soundtrack of the turkeys going to bed. Each measure of 8th notes causes her back leg to start scratching. She liked that part of your program so much that she wanted to see again a few times.
The pole barn is looking good! Unless you weld day-in-day-out you're not going to be dropping dimes like a journeyman welder. But you do just fine. If you were really concerned about fire you might have a bucket of water on hand. But in a barn that has new gravel, wetting down the post is good enough. You got your heifer dust kickers on so you can stomp on anything that might flair up.
The place at this time of year looks great. Tell Hillary she does great work if you haven't already.😉👍
What a beautiful calm morning 😊
I think it’s great you still use the older tractors 😊
Great ending of the video, music was a perfect match. Thanks Pete made Me smile. As always great video.
Your own personal Red Tractor Parade. You are a lucky man Pete! And loved the Turkey-lapse. :)
The turkeys roost was pretty cool. I have five girls grandchildren they run through house saying come on cows.😂
I swear Mr. Pete I think those 2 pigs in the pasture are the best looking you've ever raised and you've had some good ones. I never knew the pole barn had as much room until you started parking equipment in it. The turkeys look great!
Oh the joy of raking gravel. Another good video, thanks Pete.
I’m glad you soaked that wood before you started welding, Pete. You see… its what all of professionals swear by.
this station always brightens my start of the day
So fun to see the turkeys get ready for bed.
Great job Pete and Hilary! It looks good! Thank you for the turkey clip! Have a blessed week 💞🤗
I always check to see if I have a new video notification every Sunday after church! It's a routine I enjoy....
Just a few Acres gets my week started in a positive direction
It was so great to meet you at the farmers market yesterday. We love your channel. Thanks for doing it 🤗
Pete you look sooo HAPPY with your farmall tractors. Like boy lining up his Hot-wheels.
I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the progress on the barns. I'm looking forward to seeing the cattle in their new place.
Those are some nice-looking
turkeys. Good night. 😴
Great job finishing up the barn project…thanks for showing us the turkeys
Now I can see how it is all coming together, and the functionality that you are going for, less work for you and Hillary and the comfort for the animals, can't wait to see the finished product. Good tidings going forward.
It’s been a great summer . Thought it was going to be dry but Mother Nature brought the rain .watching the new barn develop was a treat ,all the while watching the progress of the livestock . We had a great road trip and saw a magnificent flag . You have found the magic that makes it work . Thank you and your family for allowing us to tag along . God bless
Pete, in 1987, we built a new 60’x60’ steel building at our family dealership. The concrete contractor wasn’t going to compact the base, because he said it wasn’t necessary. We had hauled the stone with our own trucks, and there was 217 tons in total, the contractor claimed he was at the proper grade. Fearing that the slab would crack, we rented a vibratory roller, and I operated it. In less than five minutes, the grade had changed so much, both trucks headed back to the quarry. Ninety-seven tons later, we were back to proper grade. Thirty-six tears have passed, and that slab has zero cracks in it. For what you are doing compaction isn’t critical, but under a building slab, it’s a different story.
You did not say what type of fill was used, but I think we’re in agreement. Under a commercial building slab, I would have required Proctor tests of structural fill to ensure proper compaction. Also, I would never advise to use clean stone for deep fill. instead, use graded structural fill for the majority, then finish with clean stone to shim the slab sub base.
Pete I enjoy watching the way you do things. You work to make projects look nice when you complete them. Blessings😀
The music playing while we watch the turkeys was perfect! Made me smile! Thanks.
🎉its always rewarding to see a plan come together. Great job on the new addition. Thanks for the great content it's really a joy to watch your farm.
"It's a new day, chickens!". Now there's a t-shirt idea if I ever heard one.
Love the extra stare at the Trolls
So happy you ‘soaked everything’, safety first.
I'm here in Iowa and from here your driveway looks great. Thanks Pete you always lift my spirits. God bless you.
I think the barn clean up and the redo looks great . That is one thing I wish for is to have a roof over my head as I water and feed all my animals. You've all done a great job
Good morning you guys .. I hope it's a nice peaceful day for you. ❤
Thx Pete 4 the turkey section. Barns are gonna be awesome for this winter. All that hard work will pay off when the white stuff covers the ground.👍
Those turkeys look like they’re ready for freezer camp! 💙
sweat dreams turkeys, thank you Pete.
Everything is looking beautiful.
Enjoyed watching the tractors and turkeys gather in their roost. 😊
I was thinking Pete, if you named the Turkeys as you do the cattle, it would be easy for you talk to. Hey Tom, get of there, Tom WAKE UP! 😂 I can't wait for the shop to be built as another tractor redo should follow. Thank you Pete and Hillary for sharing . It is so enjoyable!
Haha! You have as many Tractors and implements as you do cattle!
The Turkeys look like they are getting ready for a Drive-In movie to start
Amazing seeing all those happy turkey's 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
Kinda cool showing the turkeys bedding down.
Thanks Pete!! Love the turkey ending.
Thanks for the Turkey Show...Really enjoyed it!! Take care
Thanks for the gravel/fill tutorial. Nice turkey footage. They Definity have there favorite spots. Keep the tutorials coming. Thanks
I liked when the video started, and you heard many types of birds, the cattle,a rooster crowing ,etc, took me right back to the farm growing up
As always great to watch you both and hope you all are doing well too
Love the old tractors and watching them work. Cool ending of the turkeys…soon to be dinner.
What a magnificent production, Pete! Thank you so much... nice to see everything falling into place due to a lot of work on your family's part. Also a unique view on how your turkeys like to bed down for the night... the flock dynamics are a real treat to enjoy! For someone who doesn't weld all that often, that lower bead looks quite professional... good job! Thanks again for a bit of the good life and allowing folks like us to see the world as you see it, albeit from a certain point of view... 👍 🖖
You do need a new tractor, pete!! More old farmalls lol I love you seeing you build your collection!!
When you look at the camera up close its nice to see all the lights on and everyone is home.
Pete absolutely freak in beautiful ❤❤❤!! That’s all I gotta say!!
With that many tractors it amazes me they all start and run so easily- especially the gas ones. There are so many things to do to deal with today's gasoline and occasionally I'll forget. The struggle is real!
As usual I love the video. Good nite turkeys, sleep tight. ❤❤👍🙏🙏
Looks great. Love the morning sounds. Pete ever thought of filming the chickens routine of going to bed I bet most would enjoy it. Susan
