If it’s not too late, I’d like to see how Grant switches that planter over for corn to soybeans - is it a hassle to empty out the corn seed? What do you do with the tiny bit left over? Plus any repair video for the hydraulic leak … I guess I’d just like to see/hear Grant do a “farmer’s cuss” every now & again - you can beep over any blue words! 🫢
Run Laura, run! I haven't seen you move that fast since the mouse came out of the well pump motor. 😂 You and Grant are so good together. ❤ Your commitment for each other, and farming is truly inspiring.
Do future Laura a favor and get a pair of safety glassed to wear while transferring ag liquids. And a small 1 gallon sprayer full of water makes a real good quick eye flush to keep around.
Get the Hydraulic hoses in bulk an assortment of the fittings you use, and the bench press tooling for crimping the fittings. It's really easy and quick to do your own hoses. 20:11
This was an extremely well done video Laura! Your videos keep getting better and better Laura! I believe it is your expert explanation of every little thing you are doing in the video! If you weren’t the fantastic farmer you are, I think you would be a great teacher! You are teaching us a lot about not only what you are doing but why you are doing it! You and Grant are a beautiful team! Keep the videos coming and keep teaching us!
I just subscribed to your channel on the day this video was released. And have been watching your video's as fast as i can which have made me laugh so hard at times. I grew up on a farrow to finish hog farm which my dad started in the early years of 1970's after beginning we finnally reached a standard operating capacity of 2600 -3200 head at all times. I started driving for the farm as i turned 16 in 1986 we had an old White Road Commander 2 cabover with no power steering which was difficult to say the least.
Laura and Grant great video great explanations great sales pitch for seed companyand fertilizer company dirty equipment wash and wait enjoyed video and can't wait for next video
Spring time planting is so satisfying. I love your channel. You make explain it so well. BTW, liquid fertilizer can be corrosive to the eyes. A pair of rap-around safety glasses would be good. Protect those eyes.
Little Bumble bee was wanting a selfie with ya 😂!!!. 8270 with the big floaties on !! Stayin on top is super important keepin that compaction super low is so important !!😊
dirtiest I ever sas was between Imperial and Grant. A nice breeze was blowing out of the Northwest when I saw a large dust cloud and was lucky to get to the cloud before the operator turned the OPEN PIT COMBINE Back across the field. All I could imagine how the skin must feel using the old combine but the wheat needed to be harvested.
Fantastic video, Laura! The learning process for all of us is quite interesting since we generally know so little about farming. You do an outstanding job of explaining the details of what you're doing without being "boring" in your explanation! I will be in your area in a couple of months and would LOVE the opportunity to see some of your efforts first-hand. Keep up the amazing videos!!
I enjoyed your video, Laura, as I have all of them. One thing in this one, though. You never explain what strip-tilling actually is, or why you and Grant decided to try it.
Hi Laura. I always enjoy your videos, especially those with Pepper. Could you please do a sidebar on what the function of the Co-Op is, and how it works. Every time you mention it, I get a grey area in mind. Thanks. You (and Grant) (and Pepper) make my day, 😀❤👍 .
I highly believe that you will see an increase in yield because of the strip tilling. We also do strip till before corn but instead of liquid fertilizer, we are using liquid manure and it is the only nitrogen source for our corn. We are working on pretty sandy soil and the strip tilling helps us with keeping the water in the ground. If you have the possibility to test/try strip till with liquid manure out ... I would highly recommend it to you.
Great job on the video! Your passion for farming along with its ups and downs. Really shines through with the great production and editing!! I look forward to hearing how that new field compares. “Here’s to hydraulic hoses that wait to break, until the end of the field!”
Love watching you guys. Right after you screamed and ran from the bee, it looked like one was on your cheek and then I realized it was a fly walking on my TV screen.
Really enjoyed this video, all the farming stuff, but even more is seeing you and Grant just being yourselves. I know I am a couple days late but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! ❤❤
Love to see your smile and your good dirt! You and Grant are such a good team! Sorry for your equipment malfunction, but at least you guys finished your corn planting!!! GOD give you more rain this year and at just the right time!
Hey guys I've been filling you fir the past 2 years u was heart veijwb when gampar passed 2 years ago may 28 i lost my partner of 17 years i felt your pain god bless you and grant love you guys much love Andi in the uk ❤❤🙏🙏🙏
LOL.. I was in liquid fertilizer business for 20 years. First rule of thumb, check oil and fill fuel every trip. I always knew when a salesman or two would run a truck or trailer as I would get a call, Flomax is out of gas. Shakes head. We switched to also have dry fertilizer just before I changed career. Same rule server trucks, trailers, fill gas every load even if over half full. 😊😊😊😊
Give us some info on pivots, how much they cost to run and how much it cuts into your profit your awesome young kids who make me proud of your hard work
Great video! I enjoy each video you and Grant put out and look forward to the next one. Very informative and I’m definitely learning about something I had no idea of all the steps it takes to farm. Keep up the good work and best wishes this growing season.
I keep learning more, about tractors. I love Fendt, and John Deere Tractors. You just Ed ended with, Once we learn how to drive one John Deere tractor, they’re all, pretty much, the same, to drive. I may, buy a piece of equipment, and find a co-op, to help me find work. Jerry from Anaheim, California USA. ❤
G'day from West Oz, Laura & Grant, this compilation video was very good in showing different aspects in a brief but informative fashion. And hey i just gotta say, "YAY for me" 1st time I'm in the 1st 200 comments, a milestone. Seeding has been underway here for a while & some are finished but others about 3/4 done. Bit dry here too after reasonable earlier rains but i think everyone is hoping for rain before the end of May, but it's not predicted. Well the old ute needs some mechanicals done so chat to you later. 👍 😉.
I love this video, it was long and very educational! You and Grant make a wonderful couple and you both explain things very well! Your like a farming book for dummies 😊
Another one done. You knew something had to pop, leak, break . I think it's a great idea having the John Deere equipment being very interchangeable. And, having the co-op do the weed spraying. This way? In case a hydraulic hose goes it's on them. Seriously, all the machinery and the people work hard. Especially this time of year! All the best and God bless!
Good thing you have going, Laura. Like it a lot. I have located some of the fields you farm on the map. How about a map showing all the fields you farm? That would be great unless you think that is providing too much information. Thx
Laura:dirty is an integral part of Farming in Dirt. Suck it up, Buttercup!😊 Sprinkles are life. 13:39

A dirty day in the field is better than the best day in the office!
I love these videos you share. You explain how everything works and its fun to learn. Thank you for these videos
super young couple. America is in good hands with people like you. you have given me hope for the future of our great nation. God bless you
No matter how old or dirty, you guys are killin it!! Keep up the great work. Learning sooo much!
Tanks for taking us along .
I've been reading about some farmers having issues with GPS while planting because of the recent solar storms.
Great team, and it's lovely to watch Grant becoming much more confident talking to the camera. It's becoming a really joint effort. Good show guys!

Spring time planting is so satisfying. I love your channel. You make explain it so well. BTW, liquid fertilizer can be corrosive to the eyes. A pair of rap-around safety glasses would be good. Protect those eyes.
It is still impressive to see the two of you taking on this role of producing crops needed for us to survive

Great videos. Great farmer. Thank you for all of your hard work. I manage sugar cane harvesting in Florida.
I wish more farmers explained stuff. You get to the nitty gritty. I love learning more and more about equipment.
Fantastic video, Laura! The learning process for all of us is quite interesting since we generally know so little about farming. We have had good rains, slowing planting here in NE Nebraska. We were terribly dry here for 2-3 years also.
Great video, Laura!! Thank you!
