absolutely true. if farmers and truckers decided they didnt wish to play any longer. if the truckers decided to park every last rig until they get more respect and if farmers decided to isolate so the stuff they grow and produce only goes to their farm. that would shut not only the country but the world down.

Pete: Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with your farming fans at the show. It was hot and you could have very easily told everyone no or even cancelled your meetup. I (we) would have waited twice as long to meet you. You were amazingly polite and your personality shines through when you got down on my fostership boy's (protective custody,) level to talk to him. The smile you put on his face was there all weekend. He told everyone and anyone around that Mr. Pete from UA-cam talked to us about farming and worms. He even pointed out that he was wearing his red wiggler worm shirt. Even at school yesterday he talked about meeting Mr. Pete, Mr. Pete talking about worms, and he was able to ride in a golf cart. Your giant leap of career faith gave me the gumption to quit my job and take the worms to our current size. Thank you much. We will always watch and smile: Elliott & Pat
@@JustaFewAcresFarm my little buddy is under protective custody for "bad decisions" people close to him in life have made. With my newish schedule of worm farming, my wife and I are able to give him as stable of a living arrangement as possible. When we were first introduced to him, he was quiet and quite honestly, in shock. He & I watch every video that you have ever created and posted. Pete, it was great to meet you in person! My father and I are both big fans of your channel. Reminds me of my younger days growing up on our family farm. Great memories. Keep up the great work!
Super grateful Pete for sharing such an amazing fair. Totally new for me but I love it. Thank you and your children. Very encouraging to see farming staying alive. We can’t live healthy without real farmers 🙏♥️
Thanks for taking us along with you and your family to see the show! It is so fun to see so many tractors in one spot. I wonder if anyone has been keeping track of the total number of tractors at this show. I bet next year you will see golf carts with AC😂
I used to march on that flight line back in the winter of 1982-1983 while attending USAF technical training right after basic training. No amount of winter weather clothing protected you from the cold biting wind
I worked down there during that winter. Most folks don't realize what -60 degree wind chill even feels like. 40 mph wind at below zero temps coming across the flat land with no windbreaks was enough for me to move back north where it was warmer.
Love the vintage farm equipment, it tells of simpler times. Glad you came to the show, sorry about the steam bath, that Illinois is in August. Hope you and your kids had a great time.
Pete i enjoyed speaking to you at the show. This was my second time to attend. I enjoy watching your day to day life on your farm. Harry Collins Tupelo MS.
Back in the early 2000's Rantoul used to host the World Skydiving Championships or Competition. We at St Louis Flight Service would bring the portable Flight Service trailer to Rantoul to give Pilot Weather Briefings prior to flying activities. I remained at Spirit of St Louis airport, but had some friends make the trip.
Thanks for taking us along with you three. We were plainning on coming up there and meeting you guys....BUT, the weather was just too hot. Us oldies can't take this heat. Bummer for us!! Maybe someday we'll meet you. Take Care...................
What an awesome experience! Golf cats sure were necessary. Glad to see your children enjoying this day with you. The heat made the day slow, but we’ll worth the adventure. Thanks for sharing. 🚜
Thanks for sharing and thanks for including Grae & Henry. Always a pleasure to see your family and the time that you spend with them. Inspirational. Thanks again.
In 1966-67, I was in the miltary. Went to tech school at Chanute AFB for 9 months to learn to operate and maintain flight simulators. Best career move I made.
Pete! Sorry I missed you at Rantoul. I was a vendor and it was hot! You and your kids are troopers to last as long as you did in that heat. Keep on keeping on!!
Shows like these are amazing with all the history on display. To holdover at n airport like that would be beyond words! Thanks for sharing it with us! Glad you and Evan finally got to meet at the show! I've watched his Chanel since you suggested it a year ago! Thanks!
Rantoul (Chanute AFB, the base of my early teens...). Dad was stationed there for 3 years from Jan 1 '72 thru Dec 31 '74. Many memories of that wonderful base. Had my 5-speed stingray bike and the base was mine. Lived on the NE corner on the base and rode all over the place. Thanks for the tour!
@@michaelbrash8843 yeah, I know. Drive thru there a few years ago and saw the place and was, dare I say, dismayed at what I saw? Didn't like what I was looking at. Lots of places rotting... Sad to see.
Pete, we are so happy for you and your family. You are such a hard working man. You deserve this. So cool that your kids were able to join you. Keep making your videos for us so we can be there with you.
Pete , Great video as always . Was glad that my wife Lorie and grandson Levi got a chance to meet you in person Saturday ! I sent you a note in my absence as to my COPD its hard for me to do hot weather. Remember my tip , limestone on the manure pack's and thanks again , looking forward for more video coverage of this and other stuff too !
The best soil that I have been able to create is with wood chips and my farm animal waist. Mixed and all my wood chips come from splitting wood . But it has taken years.
Hey you guys I just want to say thank you for sharing your time with us I don't know if you noticed but you got on there August 26th through the 26th 2023 have a good one and thank you again

So true but many a voter who believes that is still voting in anti-farmer policies and allowing Big AG WTO to reign

Thank you for takin' us along to the show. Impressive! Appreciate you spending the day with only one hand....
Being an ole USAF vet, those B-52s need a lot of runway when loaded,. 👍💪🙏
Chanute was a tac base and then engine and firefighter school before it closed. The big hanger went up in the late 30s I believe.
@michaelbrash8843 I was actually stationed with a guy that did his fire fighting school at Chanute
Thanks , always heard of Chanute as a training base. I went thru Biloxi, MS.@@michaelbrash8843

That was incredible how big that show was. Good to see your kids with you. They are important to our future.
Thanks for enduring the heat to show us a great show.
That big yellow tractor was one hell of a mean machine indeed! 😱 🚜
Henry is taking on man qualities. Big shoulders, strong jaw, etc. Good job Pete and Hillary.
I was stationed at Chanute for tech school Dec. '87 to Apr. '88. Glad to see it being used for something!
One of the hangars is now and indoor motocross track
