Possibly significant - Krivak Is carry SS-N-14A Silex missiles in the big quad missile launcher on the bow. In Sea Power, these missiles are antisubmarine only. Krivak IIs, on the other hand, carry the SS-N-14B, which has an infrared homing sensor and a warhead built into the actual missile bit and can therefore function as both an ASW missile and a (somewhat short ranged) antiship missile. In said attack mode it engages by running into the target ship while still carrying the torpedo, not dropping it - the torpedo warhead is designed to explode along with the missile warhead.
Ok nice! So it's mode selected and the Torpedo is the main ordnance. The missile warhead is just an extra layer to ensure a good hit. Thanks for the info
@@CmdrTyrael Yeah. In theory the SS-N-14A can engage surface ships if its carrying the right sort of torpedo. But an ASW torpedo warhead is a bit light (in this case like 60kg or so, iirc) for an antiship missile so there's an additional 185kg warhead built into the actual missile body of the SS-N-14B to give it extra punch. I think it still has a pretty anemic range for an antiship missile though, especially a Soviet one - the only Soviet AShM I can think of off the top of my head that is shorter-ranged is the P-15 Termit/SS-N-2 Styx. Additionally, when in antiship mode the missile flies in a sea-skimming mode at 15 meters off the surface, much lower than in ASW mode which is a few hundred meters altitude.

@Waldherz I think the price is fine. It's cheaper than a new game and cheaper than the equivalent naval sim CMO. All the unit models and animations are worth the price. I don't think it should be cheaper just because it's early access. Naval games have a huge learning curve, so there does need to be a better tutorial. Heh..Starship Troopers angle :)
Unfortunately Minik caught on fire 😅
@subjectc7505 holy cow, I didn't realise 💀 RIP tourist industry!
Forgive my ignorance but...what is rafted machinery?
Rafted machinery are like engine mounts in the car. they aim to reduce the noise and vibrations cause by the machinery. These vibrations travel through the water easily and can be heard through a hydrophone.
@@CmdrTyrael I had to run what you said through Deepl to be converted to my language (Finnish). Kind of sounds like the the Soviets knew what they were doing and earlier designs were garbage. A pity for the Russians they were lazy with maintenance which over time time reduced their submarines silence.
Can you do USA sea power
Sure can. Working on it now. May be a day or 2
plz do the nato ones❤
On it 🫡
i have a feeiling that "other naval game" you keep mentioning might be warthunder
Can you do China please?
NO TYPHOON CLASS SUBMARINE!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO MY WORST NIGHTMARE
I was disappointed to see that too. There are a number of ships that will be added over the course. Long Hull Perry, for example. I hope typhoon is one of those.

Soviet submarines are very cute
Cute? I never thought I'd hear "adorable" and "submarine" in the same sentence! They need a fluffy periscope!
Sylvester Stalin ?
Sylvester Stalin! Sounds like the name of a Boxing champion from a parallel universe!
DO ONE FOR NATO AND OTHERS
@@thegreenishcrab filming US at the moment 🫡
Always nice to see Sylvester Stalline. Respect!
PS: Jive Turkey said that the loudest sub he has ever heard was the Alfa. Even at slow speeds it was still very loud.
Nice! Info from an expert.
Paper and reality often are, far apart. 🫡 thanks for watching
Why is Sylvester Stallone cosplaying as Joseph Stalin?
@@thetalkingbear That's Joseph "Rocky" Stalloneski 💀
You know what? I'm fucking sick of enduring months of watching dozens of other people play this game. Fucking release it already.
@jeffm68 10 days brother. Worth the wait.
But thanks for your candid opinion
777 like guy here lmao
Too bad this game doesnt have any actual tutorials or hints or tool tips or anything.
Even their ingame linked videos are region locked for some people.
A poor showing for a very high price.
This is always the biggest gate for entry in the genre.
Now for NATO
The hell is this ordering?
@philo8035 reverse alphabetical by class name.
Subs first
Surface second
Because? why not.
Yes, please do minor nations and NATO.
For sure! NATO warships are coming up.
eyeball mkii, CMANO player😂
It sounds like you're a fan of the Eyeball MKII! I'm waiting for the next version before I commit to purchase
NATO NEXT! NATO NEXT!
Thanks for your enthusiasm!
