The problem with EVs is that our current administration wants to eliminate ALL gas cars as soon as he can like before 2030. And of course California wants to eliminate ALL Gas and diesel vehicles with in ten years.. I personally think they are crazy.. But hey, that’s just me.. I love gas and diesel

I'm the PDR guy from Georgia that contacted you before about using a PDR man in your area for hail damage, and I can "guarantee you" that your guy can fix that roof. I have personally fixed several car roofs from kids jumping on their parents cars roof, tree branches hitting the roof, etc.
The roof on the Mustang is easier than you think it is just a panel that can be replaced without having to cut the whole top off
some people will find a donor car with the glass roof and do a swap... that would be really nice

Roush S3 also has suspension and brake upgrades, included better exhaust too. The 427R had a bit more horsepower and torque, than the regular stage 3.

2010 Roush 427R produces 540 hp with the same 4.6 3V
They sell roof skins you take the windshield out and back glass out then headliner the remove spot welds and put new skin and paint
or even better get a cool carbon roof that need only clear coat and keep the inside insulation liner..
it would be perfect these Roush are tasty done and quite rare on streets might bring money in future..

Please Bring It To The Channel, Looks Like A Stock 08 Roush Can Bring Up To 60K But With A Damaged Roof Probable Cut The Price In Half So Id Say It Could Be Worth A Bid Of Around 20-25K Max If Your Looking To Fix It And Still Make A Buck On It. The issue with the roof is that the bracing and inner structure for the roof has been compromised. That would have to be replaced as well as the roof skin. Both roof rails can easily be repaired

VTune can repair such damage without changing the roof
24:14 No... the steel is streched, so when you push it back, you have to much material. Doesn't work. Roof replacement isn't that hard as most people think. The windshield and back window has to be taken out and the welds have to be drilled out. All the pillars wil stay in tact
I would have sunroof fitted in the Roush the most damage would be gone and what's left would be an easier fix
That wouldn't be easier. It would be more work. It's a non-sunroof car already. Meaning you would need to run wiring up to it, and retrofit the interior with sunroof controls. It's honestly easier and cheaper just to get a generic model Mustangs roof, put that in place, then color match it.

Randy, if you get the roush,,, you can work on the roof yourself,,, Lay on your back and with your feet, start at the edges of the dent and start pushing up working your way around the edge to where you started,,,,, Keep going around the edges until you end up in the middle,,, I think that you will find that almost all of the dent will come out,,, By starting at the edges and working in you will keep from stretching the metal,, Good luck on purchasing it,, :-)

I think the electric vehicles should have solar roofs to charge as we drive instead of having to stop and charge!
They put solar panels in a lot of cars. They have for a decade now, but the solar panels don't generate enough to charge batteries.

i would get that Roush cut the roof and add carbon roof with original insulation inside absolutely rare & beautiful.. keep it as it is for few years clean it nicely inside-out
and just enjoy it for a bit, if bored latter sell it at auction to highest bidder get money back (maybe even more) since very few of these spun out once in a while..
Hello Randy. The 2023 Ford Lighting is a decent looking truck. The 2007 Saturn Ion is a good looking car.
I have had dents like the one in the Mustang and literally pushed them out with my hands. The roof metal is actually fairly malleable and kinda pops back into place. It may not be perfect but it will be 85-90% and it’s free.
That Roush will go for big money even though the roof is caved in. If someone doesn't buy it to fix it they will buy to part it out.

Myself, I'd take the video over to the PDR chap that looked at your Mustang, as someone mentioned, and see if they can do it and how much then work out what it's worth but you already know that. Great video. Hope you're able to get the Mustang and the Mercedes.

Those roush 427s are a rare car
The Saturn Ion is an underrated car. People look at it and generalize it thinking that the person driving it is some poor hoodlum (or an old hippie), when in reality, there are people who can afford a 'better' car, and simply drive the Ion because they LIKE it. Same for other people driving old cars, most of them aren't poor, they just like their old car and cherish their memories with it, so they drive it until the wheels fall off, and when that happens, they just take it to Quick Lane and keep going. 🤣
I had a couple of old Saturn's. They were good to me. Only thing that did them in was rust. I live in upstate NY so everything rusts up here
@@williamsinger4124 we lived in New Jersey for 4 years, and our 2007 Kia Optima never rusted, shockingly. We also lived in Philadelphia for a couple years before that.
@@KINGZZPVP_YTya know, that's what's odd. My current 03 avalanche was a pa truck it's entire life and when I bought it 5 years ago, that thing didn't have a lick of rust on it. I think they just deal with snowy and icy roads differently. Up here, I see for example 2014 to 2018 generation gm trucks with rusty bed sides and such. Here, there's an old saying that goes " for every 1" of snow, they put down 3" of salt."

@@williamsinger4124 it was probably kept in a garage when it snowed, or simply not driven. Also GM has fallen off in quality in recent years, so that isn't surprising that borderline brand-new trucks are having problems already. How many of those trucks were snowplows, I wonder?
The Mustang is fixable either through a dent popper or a body shop. Find one that will take on this project. The interior should be pulled and headliner. To keep damage down. A dent popper can do their magic.Without a headliner a lot will come out .A body shop can use a pulling post on a frame machine and pull up and get most if not all out. Then you get a new roof (fairly Cheap). You will have very little plastic filler in then. If you prefer a used roof I'm sure one can be sourced. Good Luck.

Rouch is missing the leather inserts in the door panels. Those mustangs are notorious for that coming off and are a real PITA to fix.

Maybe you could partner with Vehcor because he fixes a lot of vehicles for customers and he also buys vehicles and fixes them and then sells them outright like a dealer.
Love the video as always Randy! You really should get that Roush Mustang haven't seen one of those in a real long time. Get the roof fixed and it would be even better. The Mercedes and Saturn are pretty good as well. The engine in that E350 could run for sure again it isn't gone yet. The Saturn just needs a rear bumper. Keep up the great content!👍

9:26 That Saturn Ion is a Level 2 - Power windows were an option on them - The base model Level 1 Ion's had unpainted outside door handles and no power door locks like that one had.
I ready think the mustang is worth the investment really couldn't lose after fixing it. I know u don't sit on cars long but this one is worth keeping for a while

Hey Randy, I’m watching your video on the Copart walk around that you just released about noon today and you’re currently in the last car of this video the Roush Ford mustang me personally I would grab that sucker up take it home and drive the hell out of it and then eventually get the roof fixed. I am very very a mustang fan. I’ve always been a Ford mustang pan unfortunately because I’m. unfortunately, because I’m in a power wheelchair and I’ve got a disability and I can’t drive the only kind of Ford Mustang I can have is like a shell one that you can put on the shelf but if you would get this mustang and bring it to your channel I would really really appreciate it if you can afford it because I have always been a Ford mustang fan and I always will be and if you get this car and bring it on your channel and put a couple videos out on it I would watch him every single day guaranteed because I would live my life through you i’ll talk to you later man have a good day and I’ll watch for your next video

Randy, I think you should go back to the old days and fix cars that elsewhere would be crushed. The Roush Mustang and the Silver Impala near it that just needed a front clip. It was a 09-16 classic Impala with the Luxury edition!😂 would be good candidates.

Ive got a 2005 saturn ion 2 sedan with almost 200,000 miles on it (198,000 to be exact) with a 5 speed manual. I use as a lil beater for driving back and forth to work instead of my nice truck. The car gets great gas mileage. Its got a slightly broken left taillight, a couple scratches, and a cracked flex pipe so it has an exhaust leak and is a lil loud, not too bad tho. However it starts every time, doesnt overheat, and has working heat AND ice cold AC. Bought it for a grand.
A roush mustang has always been a dream of mine, sure i could get better performance with a newer car but it's an icon like the bullit or a real Yenko
You should definitely get that 427R, you cab have the roof skin swapped out SUPER easy, anx it shouldnt cost another over at most 3-5 grand... if it does, turn around and find a new body shop.
I have a 2013 Roush Stage 3 car, best car I've ever owned! 565 horsepower, 6 speed manual, so much fun to drive.

Saturn is nice, still runs good just needs a quarter panel and a bumper like you said. One is a change cubby and other is for like pens and pencils.
How good would EVs do in snowstorms, salt, and slush or getting stuck for a day or 2 in the freezing cold?
I drive an EV. We get snow where I live, no problem. The biggest market for EVs relative to population is Norway. They get really cold weather, no issue. If you’re stuck in traffic or a storm the battery will keep the heat pump run for days. When you’re not driving the engine use zero electricity. With a gas engine you cannot idle for days. I’m not arguing EVs are for everyone but the reasons you listed should not stop anyone.
I think you basically stop to charge like you stop for gas when you are low.
I was going too say the 427 prob is the horsepower cause that sounds about right for the gen of gt supercharged stang

The “cubby hole” in the Saturn is for change.. For like driving on a toll rd… I’ve got a 2007 Suzuki Forenza a neighbor GAVE me.. It’s only got 68k miles.. it’s a standard.. but I absolutely LOVE the little rice rocket.. I put new air conditioning lines on it.. Air works perfect, good heat.. I only use it for a side business of unlocking cars.. Awesome lil ride.. lol

Cobalt is the ore in the battery with the kids mineing it not lithium. Cobalt is also what causes thermal runaway. By the way they use cobalt in the oil refining unless it's light sweet crude.

You can cut the roof off in the drain valley my 2016 f-150 roof was replaced because of hail damage, that is a dam shame the owner didn't buy it back!
