    I was on fin slalom for a while and competing in the same Hvide Sande 6 years ago (same IFCA Worlds). I was over this frustration I see in this and last few videos. Fin lovers won't like it, but you all know what is the solution :) 2 years ago in one of the competition when Foils just destroyed me on fin even in 20 knots in open sea I understood where I have to go. Now finally I am getting rid of last fin boards and sails. On Foil slalom I am spending much more and more quality time on the water even on the shitty inland conditions.

      @@liutgied I like to do both, as my homespot has some tide issues were there is too little water to foil. For me it is to different kinds of the sport. So I compete in both. I am not super competitive on the foil just yet ,need more practice

      @@surferkaspert4679 I was in your shoes like 3 years ago :) I had both. I thought that I can do both and I liked mixing up at that time. But when people started to split those disciplines what we have now - you need both sets to cover the whole wind range. So minimum 3 boards - 5 sails for fins slalom (now everyone sees that IFCA rules is a lie :) and 1-2 boards and 4 sails for foiling. What I've learned over 30+ windsurfing years - the worse you can do is to have 2 sets of things covering the same wind range. I don't want to have 5 boards and 11 sails (yes I had so many). Now I am almost finished with transition, so my cellar is enjoying more space :) I am lying myself a little bit - I am also doing Formula foil. But that is only one extra board and 1 extra sail with bonus of covering 7-10 knots conditions.

      @@liutgied I am 14 boards kind of guy😂😂😂. But I see your point, I am trying to reduce. I can fit 3 fin boards and one foil board + 7 rigs in my camper, so for racing on the danish tour I am covered. Many on that tour are only foiling now.

    Forget about competitions. Too much faff, whatever your age is. Just go freeriding wherever/whenever/with whatever 😀

    Nice videos, thanks for sharing. Unsolicited input: I think there are times when it is important to keep your speed up around the Buoy, it seems you almost always go in and turn tight to make up places or protect your position, which is effective in certain conditions and you demonstrated the effectiveness many times, but sometimes coming out with board speed is more important, and that was seen today with you falling behind - I think you brain was failing you, not your body haha. Also your starts could be a lot better and you already know that. Yes you got the penalty for crossing early once and being aggressive, but that is what you need to do to win!!! I don't race so take my opinion for what it is worth = $0 lol. I think Winging would be fun but you will not eliminate Frustration by going in that direction 😄. Plus winging to me in flat water is not as good as windsurfing or windsurf foiling unless you can't get your windsurfing gear to the beach - but winging in swell is potentially better than windsurfing or at least equal to it.

      @surferkaspert4679  4 місяці тому +1

      @@cthulu_oldone the starts were really hurting me and yes need to be way more aggressive in the quarterfinals. The problem with the jibes are the super light wind so it is not possible to get upwind to get a prober line for the next jibe. I talk about this in the new video.
      I will stay on the windsurfer for a bit longer

    why not change your sail rigging brand by opting for the Phantom brand Iris Rs model?
    your sails do not give you the fire, it saturates in top speed i find . keep it on fire dude ✌💥

    If been looking at your video's. Since I am participating in the Real Trip in Makkum next weekend, I've been looking at your technic in order to learn a thing or 2. I don't think you should go winging but I do think you need to approach the boei's different. I think you are to low, can't make speed towards the gibe and therefore keep getting in to trouble. Just my 2 cents.
