There was a lot going on during this offroad test so here are some final thoughts on this Bronco. The drivetrain felt awesome, loads of power from the 2.7 ecoboost, easy to modulate at low speed in 4 high and 4 low. The 10-speed auto really shined offroad too. Haven’t driven the automatic on-road yet so I’ll hold my final judgement until then. The suspension soaked up hard impacts well but overall was on the stiffer side of what I’d prefer. Articulation is excellent and the ability to disconnect the sway bars under load is nice. The 35” tires were very impressive in the mud. Didn’t even care that it was there. The whole vehicle was incredibly capable and made easy work of everything we threw at it. Almost too easy! All the offroad tech works great and is easy to switch around on the fly. Personally I wouldn’t mind the added challenge of a manual offroad… There were a lot of rattles from the roof panels and (sometimes the seats) in both hardtop Broncos I drove. They only seem to show up over rough terrain. Somewhat understandable considering how it all comes apart to give you an open air experience. I wonder if the soft top would be quieter and if the trade off with wind noise would be worth it…either way most off-roading in these will probably be done with the doors and roof off, as it should be! At the end of the day this is a hugely capable offroader. You can feel that it’s purpose built, and it looks it. I think these Broncos with the Sasquatch package are some of the coolest looking vehicles on the road. The new Bronco starts from a strong position and Ford will only continue to tweak and improve it with time. Also the aftermarket for these is going to be insane. Lots to look forward to!
In my opinion Ford absolutely nailed it in the looks and capability department on the Broncos... I was looking at a Jeep or Tacoma for my next vehicle but the Bronco is really nice.
Ever since i've watched your video on the bronco I started to like the bronco more and seeing the capability that it has going off road is insane so looks like I'll have to buy myself a bronco badlands sasquatch 😎
The Bronco has much more capability than 99% of the people that will own them will ever discover. Four-wheelin' has come a long way since the 'good ole days'
That looks like a lot of fun. I would love to do that in a Bronco. At the same time, I wouldn't want to get it dirty because I'm a pretty boy and like my cars clean. That would drive me nuts. But, it can always get cleaned up afterwards.
Exactly, these "tests" could easily be performed with a basic 2wd pickup. Most people that purchase one of these won't even use it to hop a curb to get into the parking lot of the mall. Doesn't proof anything other than the driver thinking they are a big deal.
@@checovision people who have to pay lots for gas care... Some people live in remote areas where gas can be double or triple that in a major city center.
Give it a couple years, the steering wheel buttons will start losing its surface paint, the rear defroster tabs will snap, the seats will look like they have 300k miles on them, the capless fuel system will leak causing evap codes, the knobs will start registering no clicks or 8 clicks for every 1 click, your air bag warning light will come on because your passenger seat pressure switch failed even though the seat was unused 99% of the time, your rearview mirror will rattle in its housing, your brake calipers pistons will corrode causing them to creak upon use, your steering wheel will shimmy going down the highway due to faulty programming on your epas computer, your hood will start corroding and bubbling over on the leading edge due to metal contamination at the factory and will have to be repainted only to corrode again a few years later, your engine will burn a quart of oil every 1500 miles, your drivers side seat motor will work only when it wants to. I can tell just by looking at the instrument panel materials and build quality and engineering that its going to be the same piece of shit as my ford. Good luck.
So, what would you recommend? A Wrangler? A Durango maybe? I'm not trying to be a smartass, just looking for information from real users. I'm from south east Europe and if someday I can afford one of these, it's going to be imported used.
I had 235k miles on my 2006 F150 KR before it had trans issues and 4WD went out. I have 90k on my '10 Taurus and (to date) no issues with evap codes. My biggest complaint with the truck was rust, and with both the fake plastic chrome on the interior.
@@ryanwilliams5328 But that defender was holding them up Lol. That vehicle is meant to drive you to the mall, and it even leaves a nice trail of oil so you remember the way back
@@ixcutamp8059 Oh yeah, that defender was just sad to watch. 20in rims on the “off-road” package. It’s sad what they did to what was once a capable vehicle.
I test drove a dealership demo truck a few days ago. It was a Wildtrak Sasquatch and it was a pretty sweet vehicle and driving it was a fun experience but the fuel economy was absolute trash.
@08:48 😱 this is the first time I’ve seen anyone show a Bronco get stuck. Also, you seem to really be pushing the “small, light, narrow” idea too hard. We all know that is one of everyone’s complaints.
Is the hard top rattling like that or is there gear in the back? Looks awesome. I love the 2dr but not sure since the 4 is far more practical. But dang that 2dr is SWEET. Can two kids and a hockey bag fit in that 2door? That might be enough lol

That 2.7 eco boost is the perfect engine for the Bronco. Plenty of power for every application.
I just wish they offered a manual with the 2.7.
that front camera is a life saver, you literally cannot see otherwise
the camera has a sprayer that's so smart
also looked like the steering rack was nice and quick
and one pedal drive that's so cool
The Lincoln navigator does that as well!
But it's way more useful to have it in Bronco

Seems to be a good patrol car for some wild areas!
This thing looks like it could hold a candle to John from the grand tour Mongolia special lol
Yeah but this Bronco doesn’t hop it’s way up hills like John does.
I really love the new Broncos and I really wish I could buy one. I love how they look and that they have the option for a 2 door and manual.
You should have a series on the channel for good first cars I would watch all of them 😅.

Ford bronco jump is going the be the new ford raptor jump video.
Love the Bronco but lol that roof is just a rattle machine
TFL has a vid on this. Garbage 🗑
So glad I have a soft top even though I wanted dual tops to start with. I'll wait for the mainted modular top instead of this MIC.
The fuel consumption is atrocious but it sure looks good.

Same for me in Australia, seems like an awesome daily and great offroader.
