- Tribute to one of my favorite MGS characters. Revolver Ocelot, real name Adamska or simply Adam, and also known as ADAM, Shalashaska, usually Ocelot, was an operative of FOXHOUND and an agent of the Patriots. A master of interrogation and a formidable gunfighter, he was often referred to as a "ricochet genius" in regards to his gun fighting skills. A fanatic, he was known for his affinity towards Spaghetti Westerns, as evidenced by his choice of weapon and his clothing, duster and spurs, the traditional garb of cowboys. His weapon of choice was the Colt Single Action Army Revolver, which he regarded as "the greatest handgun ever made."
Throughout his career, Ocelot became personally acquainted with all five men codenamed Snake: a friendly rival to Big Boss, the right hand man for Liquid Snake and Solidus Snake, one of Venom Snake's top advisors, and a nemesis to Solid Snake. He was the son of The Sorrow, and the legendary soldier The Boss, given birth to on the battlefield. Specializing in infiltrations of a different nature than Solid Snake and Big Boss, Ocelot often acted as a triple agent, to serve multiple interests in the same situation.

Zan Falah and they're pretty much all voiced by different people, which is fine because of his age differences, my only complaint is their choice for MGSV. Ocelot has kind of a Texan accent all of a sudden? Poor choice for a voice actor
The Engineer Poor choice for the character overall but for some reason MGS V had my favourite Ocelot
The Engineer in general metal gear V is forgettable, with me it stands alongside Rising Revengance in terms of Canon. It has as much story as the old side scrollers.
Its because he has always been a double , or even triple ,agent so he is use to have many personalities , it is one of the thing that made this character so good .
That moment when you realize that Ocelot was stabbing himself with the nanomachine suppressors because he wanted to deactivate the programs that were turning him into Liquid so he could enjoy the final fight as himself and experience what Big Boss had always wanted in the end.

The true hero of the saga that ended the Patriots and achieved Big Boss's goal, one of the saga's best characters.

While ultimately Snake went with the Mk. III to implant FoxAlive which was in turn developed by Naomi, Sunny and Emma (post mortem) the development of FoxAlive was started by Liquid Ocelot. Indeed Ocelot's goal ever since MGS1 was the destruction of The Patriots (and most likely prior, but how prior falls into speculation). Ocelot decieved everyone, right up till the very end. He was a true hero. He was a true patriot.

Has anyone pointed out how his power of double-crossing went as far as having his own arm betray himself?
His arm never betrayed himself that's what he wanted everyone to think even the players. The ending explained he went through psychotherapy and nano machines to obtain liquids personality. In the very end of his life Ocelot was always Ocelot, but in order to trick the patriots he had to become liquid. When he said "you're pretty good." To solid snake one last time, it meant Ocelot was playing an act the whole time. It's tragic, but he loved big boss that much he was willing to sacrifice himself.

I love how Ocelot's ending almost mirrors the Bosses. Ocelot, the son of The Boss, sacrificing his life at the hands of Solid Snake, the son of Big Boss. Its a full circle.

While Solid Snake, Big Boss and Venom Snake are the protagonists of MGS, Revolver Ocelot is the true hero of MGS.
I might sound like I am joking but this is honestly the main character of the metal gear solid franchise. Not only is he the only one to achieve his goal he is also the most interesting and most fun and engaging character in the whole franchise.
This was a beautiful tribute to the legendary Ocelot. Good work as usual guys! :D
To save the world, he had to destroy it, destroy himself, and reforge it in the fires of chaos. I don't think there will ever be a more complex character in storytelling ever again.

I don't know, I am a new-gen Metal Gear Player, which means I am 14 and I play as a new generation player. My dad is old gen, he introduced to metal gear so now I play it. I will see what's up with Death Stranding but I do not think it will be as great as Metal Gear, as metal gear was integrated within me ever since I was 7. I just can't imagine telling my kid about Death Stranding like my dad told me about Metal Gear. But since there is never gonna be a new metal Gear, I might as well just try out Death Stranding and see if I have the interest to pass it on to my children like my dad did, but what I can assure you is that I will pass on all my metal gear games to my kids.
In the end , just like his mother, he fell in love with the image of a snake's philosophy, and died for it...
What makes it sadder is the fact that his admiration was in part due to the fact that Big Boss was the only form of family he had left.
After losing his father at youth and losing his mother(The Boss) at Grojzni Grad he may have found an older brother in Big Boss as he was mentored by his mother and offered him advice in turn despite being enemies.
Ocelot was taken from The Boss when he was 2 years old. It's never suggested that he knows who his parents are, which makes the fact that he's the true hero and successor to The Boss' will all the more beautiful.
Perhaps what I like most about Ocelot is that not once is he ever defined by the fact that he is the Boss' child. In a way, he achieved that which Liquid sought to achieve for so long.

They're already reunited offscreen. When big boss told solid how he was rebuilt it was an effort by ocelot by using liquid and solidus remaining body.

Jack Fry the cutscenes are super over the top, so its impossible to take anything seriously. also they added first person shooting, which made a big portion of the game way too easy
