- The most fun I have had on two wheels in a LONG time, the all new for 2020 2.5litre 169bhp Rocket Three is the nuts! I had a look-see of the Rocket 3 GT, very similar to the R, the GT has more options on it- cissy bar, heated Grips, and a more touring-centric set up with forward controls. The R was the one I rode and I bloody LOVED it!

4 degrees in an open-face helmet and jeans. Brave man. I used to have a Shoei Chips helmet much like this. I want a Rocket 3 R badly. From a Yamaha MT-01 rider [1670cc air-cooled V-twin].

Daniel, quick question, when you went through the wet/water did the water come from the rear wheel and splash you on the back or on the back of the rear pillion seat? I just need to know if the rear hugger, where the license plate is attached, actually prevents water from spraying upwards ?

Love my 2016 R3. But always been cheased off that they limit top end to 125mph. Now i hear this can ddo 155mph if thats correct. Perhaps the old one being more clumsey Triumph reduced it due to that. But even my engine could do more easy if re mapped.

Redlion Petersfield hey mate, a TR3? From the 50s? For a Rocket 3? That’s a pretty strange exchange!! I’d keep the Roadster... and buy a Rocket too..... I LOVE the old TR3s-TR6s. I just rode the electric Harley, the Rocket is the only other bike that’ll give you that feeling! I’ve also got a classic Fiat 500 , I don’t think I could ever part with it

This review just shows how good a weapon the R3 is for havin' fun :-) .. The real question is, would ya' consider tradin' your RK to get the Rocket? Does the extra performance/fun factor = the extra money??????
Blair Taylor that’s a tough one Blair, I’d love to have both! I tour a lot on my Road King so they luggage is really important and harley has a great lock up bag system that’s hard to beat, saying that, I found the Rocket much easier to ride, less noisy, less vibration and it felt a lot lighter

@@lowlifedan Really good points in favor of the R3, not even mentioning the abundant torque. I've owned Harley, and have ridden hundreds (a ways back as a tech/service consultant/inspector), but now kind of prefer the qualities you mention, as well as superior power & agility. Have to admit still, the Roadie is such a good package- everything you need, and nothing you don't. But I'm looking for the bike that will easily carry me ten years into the future, and the new warp-drive R3 was designed .. just .. for .. that !
LesBec Kilby is love to argue with you Les ..... but I agree! However the road king has lovely locking boxes for luggage which I use a lot when touring
@@lowlifedan no need to argue, the road king is a beautiful bike to, this new rocket is just next level thats all.. I think i am reading there will be locking boxes coming as they need a replacement for R3 touring.. anyhow safe riding and take care!

Sorry to tell you this but not 71% more of all motorcycles. My Yamaha Raider 1900 has 123 pounds of torque at only 2500 RPM. That means only about 33% more torque and that’s at 4000 RPM. So please, don’t use the word « any ».

daniel shell dealers always put more than reality. You don’t need the believe me. Just check the Raider’s specs and you will get to the same conclusions. It’s written black on white.
Are you wearing a HD helmet? Shame on you man. HD is a cheap made machine. Triumph and Japanese are making way, way better machines. Everyone want a HD because it been popularized by criminal bikers. They want to buy them so they can feel and show tough image.
