Paul Rodgers is one of greatest pure Rock & Roll singers of all-time and still sounds fantastic to this day. Bad Company are one of my favorite bands from the 70's & 80's.
I went to see Freddie King, for a Gerald Wilson Jazz class credit, at the Starwood in Hollywood and both Paul Rodgers and Joe Cocker came up on stage:) P.S. for my other jazz credit saw Muddy Waters, at the Roxy in Hollywood, and Gregg Allman with his new band played with Muddy for an extra 45 minutes.
@@lakenneth374 Wow! I've seen far too many to mention here, age 81, but in the early 70's I saw Joe Cocker and the Youngbloods at at Silver Spring, Md. We all remember the song Smile on Your Brother. As they were singing, some idiot kept trying to climb up on the stage, Jesse Colon Young got pretty crazy with the guy when he wouldn't quit. Definitely not smiling on that brother.
Fun fact: Paul Rodgers (the lead singer) is the only person in rock history to have a top 5 song in the charts with 4 separate bands! (Free, Bad Co., The Firm and The Law).
back story....Rodgers had a western ballad lick he was working on and guitarist Mick Ralphs had the driving "making love" riff.....they combined the two into this one song. Awesome.
EVERY SONG of ALL SIX of the Bad Co albums with Paul Rodgers as their front man are each a gem in its own right. It’s the ONLY band I know that had no mediocre songs on any album. Every one of them were/are gems!
Oh yeah....it seems like the experimentation of the latter 60s just exploded into the juggernaut of the 70s. So many sounds and styles just turned the 70s into a defining era of rock'n'roll. It simply wont happen again on a scale like this
Paul Rodgers is a great vocalist. Bad Company formed from the band Free that only had one or two hits "Alright Now". disbanded in 1973.Bad Company had great success. "Shooting Star" "Rock n Roll Fantasy" "Bad Company" After Paul Rodgers left the band & Led Zeppelin disbanded,Paul Rodgers & Jimmy Page formed a super group "The Firm" they had a couple of great hits Radio Active" "Satisfaction Guaranteed"
Great band. It was formed by members of different bands: Free, Mott The Hoople, King Crimson. Their manager was Peter Grant who also managed Led Zeppelin.
the whole album straight shooter is a rock masterpiece, every song is unreal.roger's is one of the greatest rock singers ever,a blueprint for the ultimate front man
You said it right @stecumo6459 ! And I feel the same about their albums “Bad Company”, “Run With The Pack”, and “Burnin’ Sky”. Every song on each of those albums is a timeless gem!
Bad Company's self titled song, Bad Company, has always been my favorite. A rare song named after the band... or vise versa, from their first album, Bad Company. What came first? The chicken, the egg or the rooster? They always had a distinct sound, so no mistaking when one of their songs hit the radio. Another great band that emerged in the 70's. A staple.
Can’t Get Enough, Shooting Star, Good Loving Gone Bad, Silver Blue & Gold, Ready For Love, with “Movin’ On” being my personal favorite. List goes on and on. 70’s rock was King.
Before you guys even said it I was thinking I guarantee they’ll be doing it to this one later and I know you guys are thinking it, and then when you paused you talked about it! It’s just that song! Have fun!
This band was huge and one of my favorites back in the day, the first time I saw them live was their Burning Sky tour! Bad Company/ Bad Company was the opening song😊
There are so many great songs from Bad Co. Definitely the song Bad Co. is a must. Shooting Star, Rock n Roll Fantasy, Fool For You Anyway, and on and on........
Great reaction to one of the best songs of the 70s. And in that same vein, their first album, titled Bad Company, includes a song that shares the band's name. You should really give it a shot =)
Paul Rogers has one of the top rock voices of all time! Bad Company is my second favorite English band next to The Who! Bad Company has many hits: Shooting Star, my favorite, Bad Company, Rock n Roll Fantasy, and more!
On their debut album Bad Company 1974 the title track "Bad Company" is an all time favorite. It has a Western vibe that reminds me of outlaws and bank robbers from back in the day.
Love this band. They were all seasoned musicians: two from 'Free', singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke; former 'Mott the Hoople' guitarist Mick Ralphs; and ex-'King Crimson' bassist Boz Burrell. (thank you Wikipedia) A few other great songs; 'Bad Company', 'Crazy Circles', 'Holy Water', Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy', and 'Shooting Star'. Cheers
Saw them live in the late 80's best sound of any show I have attended. And that was quite a few. Damn Yankees opened for them. Another epic band to listen to.
I believe this was the first band signed when Led Zeppelin created their own record label, Swan Song...A British band that somehow sounds quintessentially American...The tone of Mick Ralphs' guitar on the fills in the outro is just outstanding...I always wondered what else he might have played that got lost in the fadeout, because I could have listened to him do that for another ten minutes...
Legendary Classic Rock Band It was originally going to be a side project when the sessions turned out so good the turned into a Band. Lead Singer Paul Rodgers formerly of the Band “Free” was working with Guitarist Mick Ralphs of another Classic Rock Band “Mott the Hoople”, on some songs when they invited former Free drummer Simon Kirke & bassist Boz Burrell of King Crimson. Ralphs took several songs he wrote while in Mott The Hoople that turned into massive hits for Bad Company including “Can’t Get Enough” “Ready For Love” & “Movin On”. Bad Company has a massive catalog of Wonderful Songs. Lead
As an oldtimer, Bad Co filled my early teen years with oodles of great songs. Paul Rodgers was my favorite rock singer for many years, until I heard Chris Cornell.
An old friend who taught me to play guitar. Played the intro to this just messing around. I'd never heard of them. I went home and listened to this song over and over. Shooting star is my favourite of theirs
One of my favorite vocalist and bands. Paul Rodgers, the singer, just released a new album recently. He can still sing as good as ever. As suggested in some of the other comments, the song Bad Company should be your next reaction to this band. Their debut album is a classic. Flawless from start to finish. It's worth a reaction on its own.
Can you imagine how many air-guitars were being played by us kids when this song hit the airwaves? And it was also one that we liked singing along to. This song is a no-doubter when it comes to making a list of iconic R&R songs. Enjoyed watching you two get lost in this one. Bad Company is a great band. Loaded with great songs.
I saw Bad Company live at the Municipal Auditorium, New Orleans in 1976. Kansas opened for them. They were basically a supergroup of musicians from established bands of that time. The singer & drummer from Free, bassist from King Crimson & guitarist from Mott the Hoople.
Bad Company was first signed to Led Zeppelin owned label - Swan Song Records, which is how Led Zeppelin's manager Peter Grant became their first manager. The group tells about Led Zeppelin's notorious drummer John Bonham meeting them with Peter Grant after they were signed telling them to be good boys. Boz Burrell, the bassist remarked that it was ironic that they were being told to behave by the biggest hooligans in England.
Another GREAT band from the '70s!... Saw them front row center at the Nassau Coliseum in '77... Fantastic!... If I may suggest, alway rewind a few seconds before starting again...
Paul Rogers has one of the purest rock voices ever. He even sang with Queen for a few years and recorded an album with them after Freddie's passing. There is a concert of Queen & Paul Rogers singing this live and it is fantastic. You need to check out their live recording of "Bad Company" the song as well.
The glorious 70s. The Vinyls from BadCo just upstairs in the Vinyl shelf from back then 😈😎🇧🇻. Together with all the other bangers rock n roll from the 70s 👍
Peter Grant (Zep ). Bad Co consist of legendary vocalist Paul Rogers , guitarist Mick Ralphs , bassist Boz Burrell and drummer Simon Kirk. Simon Kirk was a big influence on me as a young knucklehead, goofy drummer back in the day when I was in high school. Paul is definitely one of my favorites vocalist.
He makes love to the guitar in that solo. 😎 🎸 Like that interplay between the guitar and bass at the end of Journey's "Stone in Love." That's real longing. IYKYK
I really think you guys should check out another popular song by them. It's kind of cheesy but it was a huge hit. And my younger sister totally fell for it in junior high, it's called, Rock and Roll Fantasy. And yes I took her to see them live sometime around that time, and we had to lie to our parents and say we were sleeping over at a friend's house. Laugh
Good ole Southern Rock also I’m enjoying how the both of you have changed in this channel, you’re definitely enjoying the music much more than when you started
love this one & this band. other killer tracks of theirs: 'shooting star', 'silver blue and gold', 'rock and roll fantasy'. and so many more! I have their greatest hits on CD, now I want to listen again. Thx for reminding me of them again.
Another high school flashback, man the seventies were great. Paul Rodgers was also in Free in the late sixties and toured with Queen in the early two thousands.
Can never go wrong with some Bad Company! Classic rock at it's finest! Always a part of my junior high and high school playlist back in the day,and just as good 50 years later!🤘
Paul Rodgers is one of greatest pure Rock & Roll singers of all-time and still sounds fantastic to this day. Bad Company are one of my favorite bands from the 70's & 80's.
Ditto

As an old Luddite i grew up listening to bands like FREE 👍.Then out of the sad passing of Kossof 🙏 Bad Company rose to top 🎉✌️

Next song, their title track Bad Company.
Even a better song!!
Should’ve started here but hopefully will get to it
Then Alright Now…
Defiantly, but anything from the 10 from 6 album is great.
Yep must do that.
All right now was by Free though. Still worth a reaction though.
My Favorite song of theirs is “Shooting Star.” Their songs “Ready For Love,” “Bad Company” and “Rock and Roll Fantasy” are all bangers and a few more.

This is a rabbit hole you are going to love....Bad Company always delivers

Paul Rogers could make a hit without words, just oos ahs whoa heys, doesn’t need proper words
The 1970s were the Golden Age of Rock and Roll. The more you dig into this era, you will realize the music is timeless and can not be duplicated.
Oh yeah....it seems like the experimentation of the latter 60s just exploded into the juggernaut of the 70s. So many sounds and styles just turned the 70s into a defining era of rock'n'roll. It simply wont happen again on a scale like this

Both bands had the same manager so it made sense to reform with members of both groups.
In the UK Free had a number of hit singles, and more than one or two. Not sure in the US.
All Right Now. The Stealer. My Brother Jake. Wishing Well. British hit singles.
The Song Bad Company is a must
Agreed. Also Shooting Star.
Ready for Love is another great one.
Great band. It was formed by members of different bands: Free, Mott The Hoople, King Crimson. Their manager was Peter Grant who also managed Led Zeppelin.
Peter Grant of Led Zeppelin was manager of both bands and they both shared the Swan Song label.
Came to say this. Good on you.

Paul Rogers one of the all time top voices in rock. ❤🔥
Bad Company has lots of great songs for you to discover.
"Good Lovin' Gone Bad" "Shooting Star" "Sweet Little Sister" "Rock and Roll Fantasy" are just some of the BC gems you could react to next.
