    Thanks for this video! I got three new 32" G5 monitors for a triple setup and I found multiple dead pixels in one of them with this video. Returned it and had to buy another one from a different site cause the original site had sold out. Now used this video to verify this one is good as well. Thanks for this video! Just got my new monitor, a Dell 1440p one - I might have a very slight backlight bleed in a corner, but since I nearly always play in a well lit room and 80% brightness, there won't be much major issue here bcs I don't really see it from the test. Also, no dead pixels detected here ^^

    Excellent work W2Best! As you know, I have plenty of time to see these instructive videos because the decent machines aren't being released in the UK. I will now feel much better informed when eventually getting the dream machine, using the knowledge you have gained as a crazed Scando Uber-Consumer! I got the Cooler Master GM27-FQS when I tried it I felt that the IPS glow and backlight bleed was not okay for a 470USD Gaming Monitor. then I ordered a replacement and when it arrived I never had the chance to return the original one in the week days long story short, the new replacement arrived, when I turned it on and put them side by side of the original one was better and they both had the same amount of backlight bleed and IPS glow surprisingly the new one had a lot of dead pixel. which the old one doesn't either way I return both of them it wasn’t worth the money and bought the Pixio Px275c sure it’s only 100 Hz which I couldn’t tell the difference from a 144 and probably less color accurate but hey it’s almost half the price with a coupon I had a perfect unit with no that pixels are stuck pixels and at least they bothered putting it in a large box inside a box which manage to protect the unit during shipping, The cooler master came with us original box only!

The backlight bleed is almost unoticable (it is so small) and this is in a dark room without lights turned on and 16 years of use, there is no glow at all as well. The colors are the best I have seen from a desktop monitor till date and the blacks are almost like an OLED panel! The only dowside for this monitor is the design and the low refresh rate. I have tried for many years to replace it with something better and more modern, but always ended up returning back the new monitors I bought due terrible picture look compared to the Eizo. Bought a Aorus FI32q the first 2 had really bad backlight bleed. The second one had worse ips glare then the first and also backlight bleed, the third one had no backlight bleed and little ips glare & on a online pixel test showed no problems either however on youtube i got something that lookes like dead pixels (11 in a row). Weird thing is i only have the problem on youtube not on any other video streaming site nor on video's played from hdd or my windows screen. When i start youtube in mini player setting it then is exactly in the middle off the top of the video screen just above were the youtube icon appears when the mouse is moved. When i use theatermodus it changes location to exactly the top middle of the monitor. To me it looks like the youtube icon confuses my monitor but i cant understand why.

    I bought a MacBook Pro M1 just a few days ago, and I noticed that screen have a backlight bleed at both corners, I claimed my warranty an they give me a new Mac, now I made this test and I can find the same pattern, I've read about a common trouble in 13" screens, What you think about it???

      It's a common problem in every single screen. The hard thing is when you change you might get a unit that is even worse.

    I have found one pixel blue in the black background at the top of the screen on my brand new Thinkpad E14. It's only visible when we ore high brightness with a black ground. Other than it's fine also it's out of my visible area, just below the top panel outer area. Whatever it's brand new and I found it on the first boot. I contacted Lenovo customer care since its customized brought from the Lenovo store. they refused to make a replacement and it's not covered under warranty, that guy said it's totally fine, as per their pixel policy 1-pixel failure is ignorable they need more than 2 or 3. I dont know what to do. Except that 100sRGB panel ain't have any problem. No Bleeding or Glow, colors are natural and vibrant. Any advice on this? I need to keep it or fight again to replace it? does more pixels will die in long run?

    • @ArjunKs1000
      @ArjunKs1000 3 роки тому

      I don't think one pixel is a big deal if its out of the way. But if it really bothers you, you can try.
      Unfortunately replacement of products depends on company policy as per Indian Law. You can claim warranty if you wish and then if they do not fix it under warranty you can file a claim by calling national consumer helpline for free. I am not sure on how it will go, but filing complaints usually gets them to do right by you if you have been wronged.

    • @intraxx88

      you can use macro camera settings on your phone to see pixels. for digital output it is not a case, i think. you can tune text appearance in kind of "clear type settings"

  • @animeshrose

    My monitor(laptop) is having a light dark patch (upper left corner). Though the pixel isn't dead but colour appears darker than the original surrounding colours like if the colour is red it would appear a darker shade of red under that patch. However most of the times it is not noticeable. But it is kind of annoying sometimes.
    Any fixes?

    • @w2best
      @w2best  3 роки тому

      If you only see it on a black screen and are not disturbed by it elsewhere I wouldn't try to change it. It's just too much hassle to change something for such a small issue and the risk is the next unit you get is worse...

      Not that I'm aware of. I have one monitor and one laptop with higher refresh rates. The laptop is a TN panel with WWA and the monitor an IPS. No dead pixels here. The only dead pixels I've had in a laptop is in a full hd dell xps 15.
