If you can find an ICC profile for your monitor (like from my reviews or HUB's for instance), here's a guide on how to install that: ua-cam.com/video/65VVCXBmnbs/v-deo.html
hello i find in my monitor NOISE Reduction image should turn on or off? thank you
@Mateusz Graczyk thank you

Hey techless I was wondering if you could help me out! I am getting the ASUS TUF Gaming 27” 1440P HDR Monitor (VG27AQ3A) for a new setup of mine. I am currently using the Asus VG249Q Review - 24", 144 Hz IPS and downloaded the profile you had made for it. I have no idea what settings will make it pop like yours did for my now second monitor. I was wondering if you could make one or do a whole review on this monitor and include a profile. Thanks in advance for the response! Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for the advice on brightness at the end. For so long I would unfortunately reduce contrast thinking it’s helping my eyes, but if anything that made them strain more. I thought my brightness was already so low (35), but just lowering that more does the trick.
Thank you! My monitor isn’t as washed out and I can stare at it forever!!
A nice video. You speak so clearly. Those who are not speak English can understand your content.
"Who are not speak English"
@@AEZ_Zens yeah he just said he wasn't English :/
@@AEZ_Zens that’s the dumbest "correction" I’ve ever seen. He literally just said he doesn’t know English.
@@justonexone oh my bad sorry guys😞
@@AEZ_Zens lol
I actually love this video. It helped me soo much. When I played a game it would start making high contrast whenever I moved and now its fixed. Thank you
wow , with the sRGB Setting my Screen looks so much more colorful now. Great Video, thank u 👍
I've been searching up monitor tutorial/comparison and yours is always come up with great quality to both picture and content. Subscribed!
Huge thanks!! There were some fundamentals you talked through that were the game changer for me. If the start point is 50 in terms of RGB then adjust down and trying to leave most settings at their starting point. Im always tweaking my setting as I've never been fully happy, with these basic principles I finally feel completely happy with my monitor picture!! 😎👍
Just discovered your channel, loving the videos, this is gonna help me a lot
Great video learned a lot including the settings that I need to fix to improve my gaming proformance
Thank you so much. You are really interesting to interesting to listen to and worth an ear. I shall keep you nearby in case I need to hear you again.
Thanks bro, this helped me so much in gaming!
ive never seen this kind of vid before. im glad YT brought me here. I support and subbed.
thanks for the guiding and simple explanations!
I'm so glad to found this video! Sometimes i was wondering why my monitor couldn't be more vivid color than my phone with a gamut color (even though my LG 22MK600 had 99% srgb). Gonna try this later, thank you!
Thank you very much. It turns out Gaming mode isn't great for the types of games I play, or for watching movies/shows. Messes up all the subtle colours, especially the darkness levels. I was trying to watch House of the Dragon and there were just so many dark blotches and blurs. But thanks to your guide, and the website you suggested for monitor settings, I managed to sync them up with my AMD gpu settings, and vice versa. The settings they suggested looked a little dark so I turned them up a smidgen (brightness) but overall, it's a much better experience than it was. Thank you! :)
I respect the work u had to do for this a lot!
Nice guide. Thanks a bunch sir.
Great information. I am running a older machine at the moment playing vintage games but some of this knowledge helps... I (hopefully soon) will have equipment/machine in the circa 2020's haha! Thanks for the Vid for your tutorial well put together. See you in the future! (or in the past...)
Thanks!! Wondering why the pixel/color quality was dog poop despite adjust a bunch of settings but adjusting the refresh rate(hz) completely fixed that issue instantly!!
Best channel for monitor related info imo!
super awesome vid and library of vids! got my sub
amazing video! easy to follow, straight to point, clear instructions, and very helpful! thank you so much
Resetting my monitor fixed all my problems thank you so much!
Thank you so much, I had the contrast way too high and was losing alot of the image when the scenes were bright. Also freeysnc is great.
Great video man, subbed
Thank you I turned on the free sync Holy shit What a difference. Thanks. I have everything hooked up and on already with my Mac mini to my 36 inch 4K LG monitor. Looks great. I was disappointed when I 1st bought it and hooked it up with a HDMI cable but when I used a DisplayPort cable to Thunderbolt 3 I was totally impressed . But now it looks even better THANK YOU!
great video man thanks.
thanks for the help!
This was helpful thx !
Nice Video Mate!!
This is very well timed, my benq mobiuz ex2510 just arrived today!
Im buying the ex2510 this week! Let me know how it goes for you mate
I bought it as well, just applied the ICM profile from BenQ website, it made the night light weaker. Is it all good or should i keep with the default profile? I'm using sRGB mode.
Hey man thank you for the guide it helped me a lot. i Have a question although: Why dynamic lighting and DCR should always be off? I would imagine that without HDR in my monitor would be nice features to have. Thank you in advance
Saving this for later :)
Thank you sir.
My 27P2Q (not a gaming monitor, but does have Gaming modes), I just load the ICM but turn the brightness down to 0 (even to the point of using a screen filter at night). My old monitor has the opposite problem with brightness being too low even at max. Both are IPS panels, but it's nearly 15 years old.
sRGB mode is not recommended for me because it locks in brightness as well.
While this is a niche thing to do, its worth mentioning that if you have a TN monitor, reducing the contrast setting generally brings a response time benefit (doesnt really apply to IPS or VA), this is specially useful to reduce crosstalk when strobing.
For anyone reading this, keep in mind the contrast hit is quite noticeable , and TN's already low contrast ratio doesnt help.
If you want to reduce VA smearing you can try using a bit of black equalizer..but again, with a picture quality hit
interesting
Do you have a source on that contrast-response relationship? That would be certainly interesting :)
if u want to reduce VA smearing u need to spend the big money for high end samsung.
@@vivid_xyz well I didn't get notified for your comment, and you may not too. I don't really need a source, if you look at rtings' response time measurements for TN monitors, you'll see that transitions that end in very high luminance values are generally slower, reducing contrast basically "kills" some of those transitions, and allows for overdrive room, when transitioning to rgb 255, there is no headroom for overdrive, as that is the lowest current state for TNs (the more current is applied to the twisted nematic liquid crystal layer, the less light they let through), but if you reduce contrast, making the max white level around let's say, 230rgb, you're able to overdrive that transition as there is more headroom beyond the digital white level.
I've been trying too look for the blur busters forum post explaining why lowering contrast on TN helps, but I can't find it -_-.
You are cool thanks thats was helpful … keep going
Loved the video, just a request, please make a recommended settings video for Viewsonic Omni XG2405 Monitor.
thank so much
you fixed my monitor you are the best thank you
First, Great video as always.i bought a g242 and it has great response time but i couldn't find an icc profile anywhere on the internet. Would be glad to see a review on it
I’m looking for the same, upvote thisss
nice vid, short enough coverered everything. couldnt find my exact monitor but still found this vid very useful.. thanks, and see you on fortnite ! :)

Didn't know there are programs for changing brightness, thanks a bunch
Good video cheers mate
Thank you so much

I really like your videos incredible quality but could you test the asus v24vq . I dont know what to choose betwee it and the msi optix G241 could you give me an advice ?
thank you
my default monitor brightness is 90, which hurts my eyes a lot. After watching your video, I turned it down to 20, and it feels so good.
sooo gutes video!
hab erst am ende bemerkt dass du deutsch bist :)
Hi, thanks for your videos
I'm looking for a new good screen : i use 2 X 24 . I have a gamer PC but I use it espacially for videos (adobe premiere), photos and movies (netflix etc), but I'm a occasionaly gamer too (not so much but a minimum) : between Benq EX2510 and MSI 241 : which one would you advice ? I need good colors, good darks, light .. anyway maybe something else ?
incredible
ty bro
i'd like to add about contrast
while i agree that for optimal color you should leave it at default (usually 70/100)
but alot of monitors don't get very dim and are still stupidly bright even when on 0 brightness
You can turn contrast down to get a "dimmer" image for when you're gaming without any lights
just a quick thing i thought might be useful for night gamers.
thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Yes, I did the same thing on my MSI monitor
Amazing
Thank you so much bro, you are life saver
Hey techless, thanks for the video. Quick question: Should i turn Low Input Lag on or off ? AOC 24G2ZU
ASUS VG259Q here; for the most part this video was fine enough for me. Your videos are great. But I'm still unsure about this one thing which is when I have on freesync on my monitor I get the brightness flickering. I've spent literal days reading about it and talking to ASUS. The only thing I've been able to do is have to choose between no freesync with weird stutters, or freesync with flickers. I've had this monitor for nearly a year and it's only recently became a problem. Launched Forza Horizon 5 once and it flickered so bad and left the menus burned in for 4-5 minutes. I've been afraid of using my freesync since then.
Display port or hdmi for lenovo g25 (if i used hdmi bundle from the monitor it can play hdr mode but when used display port it can't) Great video as always. Thanks.
Yeah, unfortunately that's an odd limitation of DisplayPort 1.2. It's capable of higher data rates than the HDMI 1.4 of your monitor, but it doesn't support HDR meta data.
Thank you very for the answer. Have a great day there. ☺️👍
@@techlessYT make a video of xiaomi 2K 27 inch monitor
Is G Sync really necessary in your opinion, I just got a Acer monitor- XV272U and I do not think it is has that G-sync option right away, Any suggestions? My graphics card is an rtx 3080 if that helps. When I look at the control panel I do not see the option to set up G- Sync. I could return the monitor if it was really worth it.
thank youu sm
another banger
Thank u
Thank you for the video, but I have a problem. Do you know how to fix the problem that the games are being opened as 4k( even when the monitor is full hd) I got an LG 24gn600 and I'm using it on a laptop. Thank you in advance .

Estou gostando muito dos vídeos dele também

What value should I use for vividpixel and would you recommend enabling ELMB SYNC.
hey i’m wondering if i should buy a benq xl2411k or the gigabyte g24f. i play cs, valorant, rainbow six and fortnite. im considering the benq but is the panel really THAT bad? i also have a low end pc with a gtx 760. if you have any other recommendations please say so. i have a $350 aud budget
something you might not know is if you go into your nvidia control panel and go into change resolution and press "Customize..." and then press "Create Custom Resolution..." you can overclock your hz basically you should just move it up by ten hz at first and it will A: flick or turn black for a couple seconds turn back on (Or won't because you hit your Hz cap and you need to go lower) and if it does come back on then you can check if it worked B: stay black, and or say this is unable to be done (Do not worry it just means that you can't get that high) And keep doing this in till you hit a cap and then keep gradually going down in increments of 1 hz in till it says that you are able to (PS you press test to test this in the bottem right corner) Hope it helped.
thanks
Thanks for the video. Any chance of explaining the msi HDCR AND mrpt options please? I turned them off but why?
After watching your video i got an impression that if some models (like mine) are not set up properly at the factory its hard to fix them without colorimeter
Have you reviewed Asus VG258Q 1080p 144Hz(TN Panel)? If not then what are your thoughts about that one?
hey, i have the zowie 2411k and watched the videos about it but i dont understand it. what would you set for good colors and the fastest response time on the zowie 2411k?
i was really looking for a video like this! thank you! But i have a problem, i tried to find ICC profiles or best settings for my monitor online but it seems like no one have this. Any help? The monitor is an ITEK TAURUS 23.9 inches 144hz curved.
I couldn't get my blue, blue enough and did exactly what you said not to do. So, of course I turned down red and green instead and "PRESTO" it worked. Thank you so much, it was driving me up the wall becuse my other samsung has a beutiful deep blue.
Can you do a aoc 24g2su review please? And should i buy this va panel but good color performance monitor or an ips monitor, i mean 24g2u or 24g2su?
I'm using for gaming and editing watching etc.
Trying to find the best settings for Dell G2422HS, ill be playing mainly fps games so i set it to fps but should i change the responce time to extreme and change some other things?
OMG finally I have my Free ONN monitor matching my Acer gaming monitor colorwize. It was so bad and now I love it! I won the monitor and it's a 24" 75 Hz vs 23" 60 Hz. The ghosting is not the best but now it's time to test with some gaming. Things were so blown out before. Thanks for taking the time to explain this.
great video, i just have a question. i think my monitor is not that good as i should be, its not sharp. can you make a video about MSI Optix MAG322CQR ? or maybe tell me what to do. i did a factoy reset allredy and played alot in my settings.
I bought Asus tuf vg279qr for my Xbox Series s. I love it, What do you think about the Monitor ?
Hi, what do You think about blue light reducer? Should I turn it on or off?
the flaw in the firmware with color temp fixed my monitor tysm
If I have a FreeSync Premium monitor(with the Extended, Basic and Off options on it), should I set it to Off and then activate the G-Sync on the Nvidia Panel? Or it's possible to use FreeSync Extented while the G-Sync is on? (my monitor accepts G-Sync in the Nvidia Panel; the GPU is a RTX 2060.)
My viewsonic vx2458-mhd freesync monitor is flickering when I enable gsync (using 1660ti). Is there a way to avoid this by changing adaptive sync range for example? I’ve seen some people resolving the issue that way but their values didn’t work for me. What would I need to do in cru if I were to do trial and error method? I want to get gsync benefits till I can afford an actual gsync certified monitor.
I currently have the ASUS VG259QM should I use the 280hz or just use the 240hz and what overdrive settings is the best 120, 100, 80 or 60
any recommended settings for msi g242 ?
Hi, please could you quickly tell me all they settings o should be using with the AOC C32G2AE and the Xbox series x, and on Xbox should I use pc rgb or standard colour space? Thanks
I saw in ur resolution in nvidia control panel, and ur using the "pc" hightes resolution, i use the one above, which is default, uhd,hd and sd settings. Is it bad, and reduce performance and increase input lag?
Do you think I should use hdr on my Asus tuf vg289q?
what about monitor upscaling because i have that option and i use it and im wondering if it causes harm or anything it does help with the image a lot cleaner
Please please tell me which is the best for competitive gaming and some amateur video editing: Benq Zowie XL2546K vs AsusVG259VG vs MSI MAG251RX vs Acer Nitro 390hz
MSI G241 or Gigabyte G24F for someone who will play only on a Nintendo Switch, and use it as a monitor for a laptop (60hz) where I'll pretty much do Office-related, watch movies and read Reddit (?)
Ty for the content - does this video apply for TV's as well?
Wtf ? Why is this channel so underrated ????
Thanks!! Just one more question, which games do u play? Just concerned. :D
When it comes to software msi have the dragon center and gaming intellingence, do i need both? or can one do everything? i have the mag 274qrf-qd and struggling to get the right colour scheme.
Best thing to do here is buy what techless recommends. You'll have the icc profile and you'll have the peace of mind. Bought benq ex2510 based on his review and never looked back. Thanks bro.
Bro what settings do you use 👍🏼
@@scillianmafia99 Hello bro, I use the standard settings, downloaded the icc profile from techless review of our monitor. Basically I just followed techless bro. Also after setting that up, I enabled Brightness Intelligence. Kinda pretty cool tbh, from early morning until the evening it feels like my eye is having less strain since it automatically adjusting the brightness.
Hi und danke für das Video. Ist es sinnvoll, einen Gaming-Monitor mit Hilfe eines Spyder-Geräts zu kalibrieren? Danke und LG
