Bunk....these bikes have zero issues with stators. If there's is one thing you might need to keep and eye on, its a small percentage experience radiator leaks (the mounting tab spot welds have had a tendency to crack on a rare occasion, causing a pin hole leak) and fork seal wear. Otherwise....these are literally gas and go bikes. Hell...they don't even run on high test. Just plain old Regular 87-octane.

VTX are American as any dam Hardly ever start, I rode Honda when Honda was Great, Today I still ride Honda because there still Great, Harley-Davidson ask more and gives less than any others out there, Big wish dream nightmares on BS 1970s no improvement, oil leak kings of the trailer park, That VTX 1300 or 1800 will run around the world twice while Harley at the shop popping your wallet like a Saturday-night drunk talking about how great they are while your oil dripping on there concrete sidewalks

The only issue these bikes have is the rear wheel bearing go bad if you drive it too hard (very quickly)

I have a Harley Davidson Fatbob and a Honda VTX1800c, the vtx is my favorite. De-smog it and you can feel the torque increase, plus it makes it run smoother.

I bought mine new in September 2002. No major issues. Love my '02 VTX 1800 C. Just repeating for my style in 2017 and a little valve cover leak .... fixed it and I love my bike. Ride 85 mph for 20 miles to work every day....and back home. Love this bikm Been riding it for 20 years.

Have owned 2 VTX 1800's. A C model and a N model which i still own and I've put tons of miles on both of them and never had an issue. Just batteries, Brakes and Tires and the occasional spark plugs. Awesome bikes

My first bike was an 82 Suzuki GS 700es, a 2003 Kawasaki KLR 650 enduro, 98 Sportster 883, and my last bike was a 2002 Honda VTX 1800N which was by far my favorite bike ever. I sold that 8 years ago and regretted it everyday. However, I saw a local Yamaha dealer was selling a 2007 Honda VTX 1800R with a Memphis Shade batwing fairing and a Mustang seat. I ran down to check it out, put some cash together and I’m now back in the saddle. Nothing better than hitting the throttle and being thrown back in the seat. VTX oh how I’ve missed you !

2008 VTX 1800F2 with power commander and custom street sweeper pipes with skull shaped k & n air cleaner. Biggest fattest rear tire that will fit. This is the best bike anywhere! Bulletproof and I call it my fuel injected shaft drive water cooled Harley eater. Triumph Rocket can't hang with my baby. Honda quit making this beast. The Vanguard engine is unmatched and they should resurrect it immediately. BEST BIKE EVER!

Hello, how are you? Very nice video, I have a honda shadow vlx 600 of the 93 American version, a very good machine, now I am about to acquire a 2005 vtx 1800cc with 8 thousand miles, it was stored for a long time but from the photos you can see that it is very good careful, I want to take that leap from a 600 to an 1800, I think these machines are indestructible, they are very faithful, greetings from Chile

This is definitely by no means a beginner's bike.
In my humble opinion you need to be a competent tenured rider to properly handle a bike with this kind of displacement.

@@ChampionCycle 😂😂😂Just saw what I had posted lol. I need to start reading what I am posting or stop putting things on you tube so late at night. I thing for some reason I was trying to ask when did HD motors became less faulty as people were typing things like some of them can be money pit due to technical issues... Any way I love Honda vtx1800 as it is looks great and is cheaper to maintain by my research than harley... if it ever going to break in first place. The only thing that would prevent me from it being my first would be that I might want to stick to it for life even being only 41 and since they so good I might then not try anything inbeetwen. So far apart from Honda and HD there is not much left that I would like to ride but still researching. Have a safe journeys 👍
