- Today we hit the streets of Bangkok to show my mum and dad what Thailand is all about!
Straight away they experienced proper Thai hospitality in a little roadside restaurant that kept giving us things and wouldn't let us pay for anything!
After that we went for some more legendary Thai street food and some coffee made with quality Thai beans.
We then all jumped on the non AC local bus and visited a local market where we made mum and dad try durian, rose apple and Sai oua!
In the afternoon we headed out with @theroamingcook on an epic Bangkok canal cruise before hitting up Talat Phlu in the evening to watch the trains go by and eat more delicious Thai street food.
My mum and dad's first proper day here in Thailand couldn't have been any better 🇹🇭

It's overwhelming to be trying brand new foods constantly, experiencing the Thai hospitality (free meals, chatting, joking around, playing with pets etc), constantly interacting and saying hello to random people who say hello back and don't find it weird (like it would be in the West), seeing the stunning Buddhas and temples, flying around in boats, eating in markets next to trains whipping by 1 foot away. You start to fall in love with it all.

What Thai people would like to see is tourists and their family enjoying their travels with happiness. They want them to have fun exploring delicious foods because that's the essence of enjoyment in Thailand. Additionally, having knowledgeable guides who understand the country well, just like you.

I am loving watching you share Thailand with your family and encouraging themt o try things they may never normally consider. Watching your dad with that first pepper made me laugh. I thought I was going to do that with my first one, but luckily for me I was able to handle the heat of them in small doses. More than 2 or 3 and I am sweating. Thanks for sharing.

Why would we want to eat European food? It's terrible and expensive. We fly to the other side of the world to eat delicious local food we can't get back home!
@@EllisWRผมกังวลเรื่องการช็อคทางวัฒนธรรมอาหาร กลัวพวกท่านจะยังปรับตัวจากอาหารที่คุ้นเคยไม่ทัน ผมเคยไปเวียดนาม 1 สัปดาห์ แม้จะเป็นในอาเซียนเหมือนกัน แต่ผ่านไป 2 วันก็เกิดอาการกินอะไรไม่ลงเพราะไม่คุ้นเคยกับอาหารเวียดนาม แต่ถ้าพวกท่านไม่มีปัญหาเหมือนผม ผมก็ดีใจที่พวกท่านชอบและปรับตัวกับอาหารไทยได้ดี

Ellis&Alicia have many favourites in Thailand MooKrob(crispy pork belly),durian, jackfruit, i-san sausage, Miang kham ,pomello, mango dip in fish sauce and especially hot chilli :) glad to watch you guys and your family enjoy them again.

If you eat the right fruit, you should eat the sweetest taste in ascending order, such as eating apple first, then eating pineapple, and finally durian.And it's surprising that you can eat spicy food like Thai people.
