Thank you very much! I'm a quick adapter, I guess. Yesterday, I recorded a video when I was out with a friend. Thick fog was everywhere, but my friend had his mind set on photographing red deer. Sitting in a hide with 25 other photographers, we could not see anything and was thinking what the f are we doing here. There is a stunning forest behind us full of fog! So after 15 minutes with no sign of the deer, i convenient my friend to change the plan. He was constantly complaining that he didn't see any deer, and i was having the best time ever 😅 it's all about expectations if you don't have them then everything that you come across is a possibility. If one thing doesn't work, then I switch. It's all about what gives me the biggest chance to come away with at least one nice image, and I always take that chance 🙂 thanks for watching grt guido
The image of the tree arching over the path was lovely. I think this is a good example of knowing the ground you are on, but then adapting to the conditions to make the best of what you have. It is all too easy to go somewhere with a preconception and then be disappointed. You didn't do that and fair play for it! Hope all is well with you sir!
Thanks, huw! I always try to approach an area as open-minded as possible even when I've been there many times before. I think adapting to conditions is the best skill a photographer can have. It's interesting because I can't find the insect on any chard. Maybe a young wasp or something. Good idea to use Google lens. I never think of these things. Thanks for watching and your research! Grt guido
Bijzonder om zo de sluipwesp bezig te zien op de rups. Ik ben er nog niet uit van welke vlinder deze rups is want ik kan niet zien hoeveel buikschuivers deze heeft. Aan een draadje verwacht ik een rups uit de spanners familie. De sluipwesp lijkt uit de schildwesp familie te zijn.
Je hebt er duidelijk meer verstand van dan ik. Het zou zomaar allemaal kunnen kloppen haha. Het was inderdaad bijzonder om te zien. De rups leek ook exht in gevecht voor zijn leven. Uiteindelijk vloog de wesp weg en bleef de rups roerloos achter. Hws wist hij al dat hij verslagen was. Natuur in optima forma. Bedankt voor je reactie! Grt guido
That was really nice. To an extent, you do what i do (you do it better, but i have excuses!) - the virtue of not putting yourself in some sort of straitjacket regarding what your subject matter is. Anything photographically worthy is fair game. So, i enjoyed all those images - time well spent by you. Especially appealing (for me) were the last two - i try to take images that people can identify with - can almost recognize - but that are also somehow strange: so both familiar AND unfamiliar. Both of these work well for that... and they have the additional merit of being things that people encounter everyday, but walk straight past without noticing. Just to mention the contrail thing - the vapor from the aircraft. I was really averse to that stuff encroaching on images i was taking - it seemed to be an offense against Nature (or something) - but then i saw a photo that someone had taken that had contrails in it and i was struck by their intersecting geometry (it was very cool) and that they also worked as leading lines converging on a distant feature. I'm not madly running around shooting them, but i am actively looking to see if they can function in or suggest an image. Anyway - enjoyed the video very much, and the fact that you have that beautiful lens to shoot with... i will have one too, one day. Cheers and all the very best from New Zealand.
This video was recorded before I returned that nice lens. Still have 3 or 4 videos with the lens, and then it's over. At least for now, but hopefully, i will get a new one someday 🙂 for me. I come across shots that nobody sees on almost every trip. I rarely come across other people or photographers. I'm allergic to the instagram spots, so usually, the shots I see are quite unique. Prachtige foto’s weer😍 vooral de foto van de zonsopkomst vind ik erg mooi. Tegen muggen gebruik ik al jaren de bite away pen. Binnen enkele minuten geen last meer van de jeuk maar ook veel minder last van grote muggenbulten. Wel zo snel mogelijk gebruiken en soms een paar keer herhalen.
Dat is een goed idee daar ga ik ook eens naar kijken. Heb toevallig afgelopen weekend iets nieuws gekregen ven benieuwd of dat werkt. Het komt biet vaak voor dat ik de opkomende zon zo kab fotograferen zonder ook maar iets over te belichten. Was er zelf ook best content mee 🙂 bedankt voor het kijken! Grt guido
Ja ik heb het eerst met de 60mm geprobeerd maar dat was geen doen haha. Die stabilisatie in de lens was toch wel een groot plus punt met zo'n bewegend onderwerp. Inderdaad jammer dat hij terug is maar er komen nog wel 3 videos ofzo met die lens. Had al het 1 en ander opgenomen voordat hij terug ging. Bedankt voor het kijken weer! Grt guido
Nice sunrise shot. As to the caterpillar, I don’t think it is a mosquito, but kind of a ‘Hoverfly” (don’t know if that is the English name) laying eggs.

Het blijft gewoon 1 van mijn favoriete dingen om te doen dat zoeken naar composities. Ik vond het zelf bij de laatste foto jammer dat 1 druppel niet helemaal scherp was. Volgende keer maar een focus stack proberen 😅 bedankt voor het kijken weer. Grt guidi
Hoi Guido Jij staat dus net als ik ook op de menukaart van het muggenvolk. Ik krijg ook giga jeuk bulten. Ik heb nu muggen lampen besteld, eens kijken of dat werkt. Ik wordt met name ik de nachten geconsumeerd 😂. Het zijn gewoon weer hele mooie foto’s geworden 👏. De macro’s vond ik aardig gevonden. Hoe dan ook mooie en leuke video weer. Je bent een echte Om-systeem promoter. ❤👍

@@GuidoVanDeWater jij,Peter bambousek uit Tsjechië en lee Hoy uit de US volg ik erg trouw, en inspireren mij heel erg . Als er een goede actie van Om - sytems komt waag ik de sprong, en ga een kijk je nemen bij camera land uit Alkmaar voor een directe kennismaking met het Om-systeem. Als dat goed bevalt koopt ik het system voor naast mijn canon full frame camera. En mocht het Om-systeem mij goed bevallen, dan verkoop ik mijn Canon set.
@theflyingdutchman7127 dat zijn idd goede ambassadeurs. volgens mij is er nu een actie met 400 euro korting op de om-1 mkII en ooknop diverse lensen. Ben benieuwd wat je ervaring is als het zelf geprobeerd hebt.
@@GuidoVanDeWater ik heb eerder al eens contact gehad met camera land uit Alkmaar, en mijn insteek is, dat ik daar wat foto’s ga maken met een Om-1 en dan samen met hun Olympus man de foto’s ga bekijken en bewerken. Daar wilden ze wel aan mee werken. Ook wil ik graag weten hoe de camera in mijn grote knuistjes ligt. Als dat goed gaat waag ik het op. Het veel lagere gewicht en de extra mm’s zijn toch wel erg prettig. Maar ook de hoge kwaliteit van de lenzen erg mooi. Als je kijkt wat Peter bambousek maar ook jij laat zien, dan heeft het Om-systeem heel veel mogelijkheden en potentie.
I have the 7-14 2.8 and in so much photo there is flare of the sun… its normal or there are some methods to reduce this in camera or also il postproduction with lightroom or photoshop😅
That's true. You have to be really carefully with flair when using the 7-14 that's why I hide the sun behind a leaf because it reduces the chances of flair a lot. Thanks for watchibg grt guido
A variety of wasps actually lay their eggs inside caterpillars and when they hatch, they feed on the caterpillar until they emerge. Of course this is a parasitic relationship and the caterpillar dies.

Mooi filmpje en verrassende shots op het einde. Gaaf dat je het rupsje zo goed erop kreeg met de 150-400mm! Jammer dat de lens nu terug is 😂👍🏻

Knap hoe je telkens weer mooie composities weet te vinden. De close up foto’s van de druppels zijn ook erg geslaagd, vooral de laatste. Bedankt weer
