Goku and Frieza teaming up for once is one of the best DB moments I’ve witnessed. Honestly, the both of them taking down Jiren, with the aid of 17 was 🔥!

It’s the power of trust because despite Goku and Frieza being mortal enemies, they both trusted each other when fighting jiren
Not only was it the same spot they fought the first time, but they also struck the same iconic fighting pose as well. Amazing watching this again with you, Aimin!

Another cool detail is that in their first fight vegeta was on a higher platform than goku indicating that he sees himself as superior compared to a lowclass, but now that vegeta got over this nonsense theyre fighting on equal heights indicating that theyre on equal fighting grounds

Power of Trust: If you look at 7:42. Frieza knew Goku would come to help. He held on Jiren as long as possible. Eventho they dont like each other, im sure Frieza trusted Goku enough in that fight.

My favourite detail of this fight is Jiren smiling before the final fight starts. For once in his life he's taking enjoyment in what he does, enjoyment in fighting Goku. Jiren truly respected Goku, even if his actions didn't always convey that.
Plus the energy clash shattering is Jiren's world view shattering. He's starting to believe in the power of trust.
Dragon ball z is such a beautiful anime so many people just ignore it for the fights and goku solo comments but it’s really such a great and inspirational anime. really my whole childhood

14:00 probably my favorite detail of this episode is how after Frieza mentions how he won’t change his ways, the face characters in this shot are all of the characters who were on Namek fighting Frieza way back when

Dragon ball Super is such an underrated show, there’s so many good epic and emotional moments all the time. Hopefully we can see Aimin reacting again to a future db series

Seeing the form frieza hated and worked together with it gave me chills, who ever told the animators to have Goku flash in and out of Ssj really knows dragon ball
13:55 that scene of Goku, Krillin, Piccolo, Vegeta and Gohan looking at Frieza seems to be a callback to the Namek Saga. Cool stuff.

It was nice seeing that post credits scene with Goku and vegeta, it shows their growth as people and as friends. They initially fought almost to the death and now they’re close friends, rivals, and without one, the other wouldn’t be the same. It reminds me of the end of DBZ, when they beat Buu and laughed together. Vegeta shows that he went from being a ruthless monster to becoming human and having a friend. Even now in the manga, this friendly rivalry shows up, and its always nice to see them like that. Dragon Ball in its entirety was such a ride, especially from beginning of DBZ to end of DBS anime.

Epic ending ! What do you guys think, when C17 ask to revive the universes, the dragon revived EVERY universe ? I'm talking about those who got deleted before the tournament. That could be an interesting plot.

Glad you became a fan after blindly reacting to one of these episodes early on. A lot of people especially the ones I talked to wouldn't give dragon ball a chance. They don't know what they are missing. Thank you Aimin for your reactions. It was fun entertaining and hilarious to re-watch dragon ball with you. I became a fan back in 1996. I was 9 years old. I'm 35 now and I'm still a proud fan and not ashamed of it. Dragon ball will always be my top favorite anime!!!
