There is no Israel. It doesn't have the right to exist. Might does not make right and seizing land by force doesn't make it yours. A biblical claim to a land that has nothing to do with you doesn't make it yours. Occupation and atrocities committed over decades bars you from ever having a claim to a land that has thoroughly rejected your foreign presence. There is no Israel, only Palestine and it belongs to the Palestinians be they Muslim, Christian, or Jew.
The Palestinian Authority had many opportunities to establish its state next to Israel, but chose conflict each time. It's too late now. Maybe five autonomous areas within Israel are possible, but if not negotiated for now, that opportunity will be gone forever too.
I'm atheist, but this makes the most sense, and there needs to be a minimum of a newly established parliament. Comprised evenly of people from each peoples. I know this wouldn't entirely be the solution because you'll always have the RW Israeli and even moderates, probably with jealousy and resentment, for no longer being that dictatorial hand over the lives of Palestinians, but this would hopefully put them somewhat in their place.
Because Bantustans and Balkanization never work 🤷🏻♀️ simple as that. There’s a big difference between a decentralized confederacy, and tiny nation-states battling for traditional territories at each other’s borders.
Do the roughly 1 million Jews who were kicked out of Arab and Muslim states in 1948 also have a right to return? Those Jews had nothing to do with the war or Israel aside from being Jewish, and yet they were kicked out. The Arabs who wanted to stay in Israel did so. They enjoy equal rights and live productive and far better lives than the Arabs in either Gaza, West Bank or most other Arab countries. Yet the innocent Jews in Arab countries were all kicked out.
We can take it further and ask, do the millions of folks in Pakistan have a right to return to India and vice versa? Or the almost 1 million Germans expelled from Poland after WWII or Poles expelled from Germany during the war. The list can go on with millions upon millions, but only the Palestinians are stuck on this right to return.
Don't you understand? Ethnic cleansing should not be tolerated. Unless, of course, it is Jews who are ethnically cleansed. And that's what people are saying should be done in Judea and Samaria because, you know JUDaism has no connection to that land, right? What the world is saying is that the "Palestinians" who self-exiled themselves pre-1948 war should be allowed to terrorize Jews and Israel forever until they get back "their" land (that they never owned, for a people that never existed). But imagine if every descendant of a Holocaust survivor went back to Germany and Poland and Hungary and the Czech Republic, etc. and terrorized and brutalized the people there now living on land in the homes stolen from their grandparents and great grandparents. You think the world would say that those Jews have a right of return? Of course not. Triple standard when it comes to Jews. All because the world is jealous that, despite how the world has treated our people for thousands of years, we are still the most successful people on the planet.
Actualy all you say here is simply not true. The jewish peolpe were not ”expeled” from any aram or muslim state. There are jews even in Iran today, nobody expels them. And don't think for a second that the Jews in Iran (who will soon die out) are treated as anything other than third class citizens. By contrast, the vast majority of the approximately 700,000 Arabs who left what became Israel did so before the 1948 war at the behest of the Arabs before they attacked Israel, who told them "don't worry, we will destroy them and you will be back there in a few weeks." Oops. Facts are important. Learn them even if you don't like them.
The current arrangement is already a 1-state (but not a 1-state solution) for both jews and palestinians. It is an israeli apartheid state >> which everyone can see plainly. The next 1-state (and a true 1-state solution) has to be based on equal rights with no exceptions for both the israelis and the palestinians. Otherwise it is the zionists who need to find a new home.
The next state needs to be a palestinian state, and THEY get to decide who has which rights. Us telling them what should happen there is how this whole shit show started.
The Palestinian Right to Return is enshrined in International Law. It can never be voted away or dismissed by any agreement without the full consent of the refugees and their descendants. Any agreement that ignores it has and will fail.
No, we do not ignore international law. Refugees from Europe should be able to go back and refugees displaced from Palestine should be able to go back to all of Palestine.
Yup, it's promoting ridiculous ideas like that which makes solving this issue impossible. What the heck are those UN clowns even thinking. Seriously, do they actually expect Israel to let in 5 million people who descend from a refugee from 75 years ago who now live elsewere.
Many Arabs told fellow Muslims to leave prior to the war of Independence thinking they would win in 1948 and resettle. They lost the war they started. Consequences exist.
They shouldn't have had to fight that war in the first place. Israel was constructed out of British colonialism, and has no right to exist in its current form.
76 years of victimhood and a refusal to get their act together. Permanent victims disliked by anyone who has had to deal with them. Go ask neighboring Muslim countries how they feel about the troublesome Palestinians.
The arabs rejected the partitian plan of the UN and started a war on Israel in 1948. They lost the war and still didn't create a palastinian state. They waited for an opportunity to attack Israel again and destroy it. In 1968 the arabs thought this opportunity had come. They again lost the war. So the arabs are to blame for the fact that there is no palastinian state.
Maybe the settlements should be vacated and the Palestinians, mainly from Gaza, moved into the empty houses. along with a strip of land connecting them to the sea bordering Lebanon. Those houses are currently vacant anyway. But wider. Also the Golan Heights would be no longer annexed by Israel.
That's the point, they didn't, they just locked them like animals in zoo, and then Palestinians attacked to take THEIR lands, Israel started killing innocent people. Israel already killed 30000 people, and hamas killed only 1400 (I condemn hamas for what they did, but Israel much worse than hamas)
You're assuming that "WW2" was more than a d!ck measuring competition between colonizers. It had nothing to do with morality or justice. One colonizers beat out another colonizer and history tells the result of that conflict.
Look at the history of Manifest Destiny. Settlers pushing further and further into the frontier, displacing its inhabitants and ignoring their government's official treaties until the government annexed the new land. Reservations growing smaller and smaller to feed the appetite of the colonial power. The former inhabitants demoted to second class citizens living under apartheid. Israel takes after the US in the worst ways.
I’d be careful drawing comparisons with WW2… you might let it slip that Palestinian leadership was EXTREMELY friendly with the nazi party for almost two decades. Or that after the war, Amin Al-husseini was extremely eager to continue his buddy hitler’s scourge against Jews regardless of their affinity for Zionism. I’ll say that again; Palestine was led by a literal nazi from 1948-1953. I think it’s safe to say a welcoming culture wasn’t exactly on the Palestinian priority list when Jews began flooding the area.

The treaty that marked the end of the Ottoman Empire's control over Palestine after World War I was the Treaty of Sèvres, signed in 1920, which officially dissolved the Ottoman Empire and CEDED large parts of its territory, including Palestine, to the Allied powers like Britain and France as League of Nations mandates; essentially placing Palestine under British control.
The Ottoman Empire was previously the owner of this land, not the so called “Palestinians”. The Jews will never allow a majority of people to either gain control in Israel OR live this close to them in an actual state-as the governing groups in these areas have clearly stated that they will never accept a Jewish state to exist. Hence, Israel will continue to do what it is doing.
I disagree. Just because Israeli settlements were built around West Bank during the decades doesn’t mean they can’t leave. Germany lost 20% of their territory to Poland after WWII.
I wish it was possible, but it would not be the utopia many think it would be. First, we are talking about two populations that have been at each other's throats for decades; they can't just coexist with a snap of a finger. Second, although there are extremists on both sides, there is no denying that the extremists on the Palestinian side have the more extreme goal of literally killing every Jew. How do you get them to coexist? Third, the neighbourhood, i.e., the Middle East, is not conducive to a stable democracy, and typically, democracies thrive when surrounded by other democracies. Here, this utopian One-state solution would be surrounded by countries who, for various reasons, don't want this to work out (Iran would be the biggest problem with the help of its proxies.)

There is no discrimination against non-jewish Israeli citizens, the discrimination is against non-jewish non-citizens living in land Israel controls. They only got to return 18 years later in 1967.
@@projekcja " _Jordan did not steal the West bank from the Palestinians in 1948, it took the West bank from the British_ ". With respect, you are mistaken. The British did not have the West Bank (or any of Palesstine) "taken" from them, they gave it up and put the UN in charge. The UN decided to split the territory between the Jews and the Arabs that we now call Palestinians. The land that Jordan occupied in 1948 was land that the UN had designated for the Arab state. Therefore the Jordanians stole the land that rightfully belonged to the Arab Palestinians. Your detour into what Jordan actually _did_ with the West Bank is not relevant to the point I was making, that the West Bank was not Jordan's to begin with (and of course the same can be said of Egypt and Gaza).

(Then what about the Pakistanis who fled India in 1947, or the Greek who lost Anatalya in 1923, etc., etc?) There have been several instances where proposals for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict were not accepted by Palestinian leadership: 1. The British Peel Commission's 1937 partition plan, which suggested creating separate Jewish and Arab states, was not accepted by Palestinian leader Hajj Amin Husseini. 2. In November 1947, the UN proposed a partition plan to establish two states - one Jewish and one Arab. This plan was not accepted by Palestinian leaders. 3. At the Camp David Summit in 2000, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat did not accept the peace proposal presented. 4. In 2008, a comprehensive peace proposal from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was not accepted by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. 5. In recent years, Palestinian leaders expressed opposition to the Trump administration's Middle East peace plan, referred to as the "Deal of the Century," even before its details were fully disclosed. These instances suggest that over the decades, various proposals for a two-state solution have not been embraced by Palestinian leadership.
A very interesting 53 year gap inbetween when the israeli state was made by the British and the newer deals in the year 2000. Is it that wierd that the Palestinian leaders said no in the early 1900, when an outside power (the British) comes to your land and "asks" that you give up a significant amount of it because they felt like it? I would argue that Israel is not subsidizing the settlements. The settlements would not be possible without the funds and military support provided by the United States. Without the monetary support, military assistance, and diplomatic cover provided by the United States, Israel would likely have had to negotiate a 2 state solution decades ago. The situation now mirrors that of the American Indians in the 1800s.
Therefore the Jordanians stole the land that rightfully belonged to the Arab Palestinians. It's a license to steal land, that is all.
Imagine being a middle-class European or American, paying up to 50% in taxes while working more hours than the global average for a mediocre life.
Then one day, an outreach from the local religious institution tells you, you can move to a place where you'll have your own house, own land, pay extremely low taxes, education and healthcare would be free and you'd be granted citizenship on arrival. I mean which Westerner wouldn't take that deal?
really exceptional and clear telling of the history of a beseiged, yet powerfully Palestinian community. Palestine will be free.
There will never be a palestininan state, since there is no such thing as palestinian people
This is a very clear cherry picking of history
Not as long as it hosts, encourage and let terrorists act within its area.

One state solution would be extremely difficult as well because there will inevitably be segregation and discrimination within the country. Basically apartheid without the current big walls. The land stealing will continue, the bullying will continue, settler violence will continue, Palestinians' livelihood will be hell-like. I cannot see these 2 populations living together peacefully.

Palestinian State as per 1949 borders. Israel must withdraw from all occupied Palestinian land. Palestinians must be armed to protect their land.
Ever care to ask Palestinian Arabs what they want? It’s not a two state solution.
You also neglect to mention who started the wars in 47-48 that preceded the Nakba.
it was the israelis who started the 48 war with starting the plan dalet
@@AuthorMT0 Really Notice Your Ignorance :
Because the Arabs rejected their other half, Palestine was never born. The creation of the state of Israel was not well received in the region. In May 1948, forces from Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon invade, leading to the first in a series of Arab-Israeli wars.
In 1967, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Egypt and Syria, which began the Six-Day War. Israel has since occupied the West Bank, Arab East Jerusalem (which was, at the time, Jordanian territory) and the Golan Heights, in Syria.
Study and stop being stupid 😂
@AuthorMT0 war had already broken out in '48. And the neighbors didn't get involved for the sake of Palestinian Arabs. They made successful land grabs in the south and east.
@@boatbutch plan dalet started 6 months before the first arab army entered palastine, plan dalet started on march 1948, arabs joined the war to stop plan dalet and the ethn!c cleans!ng on September 1948
For Example deir yassin massacre happened on 9th of april 1948, and so on..
Arabs joined the war unprepared their countries didn't have real armies most arab countries had their independence in the 1960th, and the countries that joined the war had their independence 2 years before the event they didn't have any military, the only country with a semi professional army was egypt, they only sent volunteer troops...
It is funny because israel army combatants were double the arab army number combined!!! They had superior logistics, they didn't have to cross large desert like the sinai desert, and they had more important factor a unified command center. While arabs fought under multiple countries and factions... Of course the rescue army lost which is logical.
@@AuthorMT0hostilities began when Palestinian Arabs ambushed Jewish civilians in Lod in November '47. I'm not sure what Arab military competence matters though I will point out that the Arab Legion was led by a British veteran of two world wars.
Do you really believe a "Palestine" would have emerged out of Israeli defeat in '48? Certainly not what happened in the territory the Arab armies did capture.
How many Jews would be left in the region if they had lost?
The only way this'll work is if you literally split the land in 2. Not this gibberish, nonsensical 'split' where you scatter millions of Palestinians across 22% of their own land.
And this will never happen bc Israel will never allow it. Hence, there is no '2 state solution'. 💔
Negotiations continued after the Oslo Accord. Sharon even shut down settlements in Gaza and withdrew.
But Netanyahu and the settler parties went their own direction. And Hamas seized control over Gaza.
For the last decade, it's the extremes in both communities that have unfortunately been running the show.

Ive been thinking the same… thieves don’t respect borders, armed and violent illegal settlers don’t agree to get along. Decades of their feral behaviour have demonstrated this, reasonable societies don’t commit genocide on their neighbours.
76 years of victimhood and a refusal to get their act together. Permanent victims disliked by anyone who has had to deal with them. Go ask neighboring Muslim countries how they feel about the troublesome Palestinians.

Either split the country in two properly, with a straight line or border down the middle, or it must become a secular state!
A state that does not consider any religion as an official religion. A state that would treat all its citizens fairly and equally, regardless of their religion.
@@BebsDotter The current state of Israel is already secular. They even treat Muhammadist better than Christians & Jews. Look up the status quo of Temple Mount which is a very special place for Christians & Jews yet they can’t pray openly there, only the Muhammadist can. There have been several instances where proposals for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict were not accepted by Palestinian leadership:
Seems like quite the bargain to me.
That’s because Jews just robbed them out of their land, if I were in that position I would want my land back, not split it with the thief who broke into my home.

The palestinans were offered 99% of the west bank and Gaza in 7 different occasions in the last 40 years. They always said no and reacted with violenece and terrorism. They dont want to live along side of Israel, they want Israel destruction. You dont believe me? Then ask a palestinian yourself and you'll see.
On the contrary, If you were propose a palestinian state living peacefully along side israel the vast majority would say YES, but they all know such an indipendent state will create a scenario similar to Gaza #2, a state that promotes terrorism and violence less than 5 km from Israel main cities and populated areas. So Israel is trying to offer Palestine their own land? Tbf even I’d react bad, what a scam 😂😂😂
