It's no fault of Albanese's, whose bravery, determination and intelligence cannot be questioned, however I still hold the UN partially responsible. Albanese mentioned the apartheid commission for South Africa, why hasn't a similar one been created for Palestine? Why hasn't the UN followed through on Malaysia's proposal to kick out Israel? Why isn't the UN working on some way to abolish the veto system? The truth is there's always something we can do. Rather than this explanation of "our hands are tied"', I think the root cause of the inaction is what Albanese said, "the UN is under attack". The US most likely holds the purse strings. If so, this could be an occasion to look for alternate sources of funding like China or the Gulf monarchies, and give a real incentive for the US to change to preserve its status as world leader. Of course these are just thoughts, I'm aware I'm not the first to say this and therefore it's not so easy to accomplish.
As a world leader, the US is showing the world the moral way of handling the situation but sadly so many people just lack common sense.

International "law" likes to see a military conquest before it recognizes a new state. That's been tried with Canada, my friend.
