Agreed, I would LOVE more like this where they have to guess who they are. Thoralf's Guess out of seemingly nowhere blew my mind.

I'm mildly upset that Thoralf wasn't colossal dreadmaw.
I thought of doing that at first but then realized it was far too obvious! :P
I'm mildy upset noone suggested leaving behind Colossal Dreadmaw as the pinnacle of human prowess.
My initial guesses based on costume alone were Colossal Dreadmaw, Jamin as Daretti, Graham as Sorin, and Kathleen as some merfolk or other (until I noticed the extra hands then I knew). So good job on being accurate but not too obvious 😅

Great Ulamog costume for half a second I thought she was a vedalken, but then the pool noodles clicked.
My immediate thought was Emrakul, but after the squirrel question I knew it most likely Ulamog.

I love how for three people the prep for this video was "put on these weird clothes", meanwhile Jamin has been sitting in a makeup chair for two hours ^^ Kudos to whoever did the makeup, that shading is some amazing work!
Disappointing to see the AI art. The AI gen videos are funny because part of the joke was it was low quality. Now it is being presented as a "high quality, low quality joke" idea. When the AI art is good enough to seem okay, but still off (count the thopter blades) then it stops being funny and just kind of makes me feel bad for all the artists whose work was stolen to train the models, and worry for the community who will see this stuff be normalized, and then pushed for inside WOTC.

when i saw those hands, i knew it's ulamog
I first thought that would be some strange Vedalken because Mirrodin Vedalken also have 4 arms and have blue skin like the gloves. But I didn't find any that really fit so when they showed Ulamog I went like of course it's Ulamog.
Same, but a bit later I realized Ertai also have hands like that. The pool noodles were enough, though.
Headpiece is definitely ulamog (haven't finished the video yet)
I think the one card to leave behind to represent MTG and humanity should be Shahrzard, as it symbolizes humanity's will to play silly little diversion's while putting off the more important things, which is the battle that actually matters

The AI art is a little off-putting. Generating an image for a custom magic card isn't so bad IMO. But it probably comes off better if you at least add an "AI generated/not real art" asterisk or something.

Surprised but I also love how thematic both ending cards were- Niv-Mizzet thinking that he'd be the best representation for a relic (probably an altered art with a super realistic version of himself) and Hubris by team LRR (probably the reason as to WHY the plane died off)
If i had to pick one- I'd leave behind a Relic Seeker or a Memorial to Folly.
Relic Seeker as a bit of a joke as the aliens themselves are the relic seekers, and Memorial to Folly because of what the plane itself had become
The one card humanity leaves behind has to be "Waste Not" - as a warning reminder to not repeat humanities mistakes again.

Ulamog I got right away with the multiple arms. I thought Jaya was Ursa or Tezzeret for sure, would never have guessed Squee and I thought Niv Mizzet was like, zetalpa or some other dinosaur lolol

Some of our human convictions were good, some led to our downfall (presumably).
Feels very connected to the human experience.

I knew right away that Kathleen was a greater Eldrazi of some kind, it seems kind of obvious, but my mind went to Emrakul instead of Ulamog, I should have known with the double hands.

Ok, haven't watched the video yet, but from right to left - A) almost certainly Atraxa (might be because I've drawn her before, but those 4 arms + the headpiece + the 'wings' felt like a dead giveaway), B) Urza or Feldon, maybe? C) ... Um. K-kappa Cannoneer...? D) Colossal Dreadmaw is probably low hanging fruit, so some dragon I guess.

It's not an attempt to get people who watched it already to watch again :) trust me, that hurts the video. Since you then click off so quickly once you realize you've watched it. It's to try to find the thumbnail that gets people to watch the video longer (so in non-youtube terms, the thumbnail that is the most honest to the viewer)
@@CardmarketMagic Interesting. Try researching primarily-visual art mediums, like paintings. I’m not an expert in that field, but read up on some art theory. One thing that helps a lot is to have a single, clearly-defined focal point near the center of the image (helps that part of the image pop out from the rest of the image and immediately draw attention, whereas too many focal points or none at all just get interpreted as a blur to the glancing eye), and a pleasant but not too vibrant color scheme in the background. Mixing colors on opposite ends of the spectrum makes an image stand out, but you don’t want them to be too bright to the point that they distract from the focal point and end up being an eyesore to the viewer.
Hope that helps, again I’m not an expert, but famous pieces of visual art are famous for a reason, and experts have that kind of thing down to a science. Take inspiration from beloved Magic artists like McKinnon, Guay, Avon, etc. and try to figure out what they do so well.
We need to get Carl and VeggieWagon to collab on a quiz, they have the same wacky vibes. Thanks for the video!

This video has changed thumbnails and titles like, a half dozen times since it went up. Each time I check their channel its always something different, lol.
When a video is not doing well, but we think the video is solid, we change the thumbnail and title a few times. A thumbnail or title that pirches the video concept better sometimes doubles or triples the amount of views :)
