Law is not a Business....If advocates start advertisement than an big Advocates will make legal Profession as their "Business" and their Quality of Work will go Down... Money is not Everything, this is the Honourable Profession which makes u get an Honourable position.

I think advertisement is prohibited keeping in mind not just the repo of this profession but also for the people who are into this profession. Like if all the clients will go to famous lawyer then how a new comer or to this professional or a lawyer with limited resources will get any cases and how they will gain experience. Now you can say that they can get experience while their training period but then the issue is again that all the trainees can not get trained by the top lawyers.
So to allow equal opportunity amongst all, this provision has been made i think for the survival of all and not just few.
The same is with Chartered Accountants Act, 1949.

Some kind of advertisement should be permitted to facilitate easy entry for fresh advocates. It would help new advocates to establish their firm.

i always watched your videos and i have watched so many videos of 1st amendment audit in USA as our article 19 is also prepared in mind with the 1st amendment of USA constitution which allows citizens of USA to film in publicly accessible areas and you can also called freedom of the press which Indian constitution also provide us i guess.

Sir, pl explain the process of becoming notary or oath commissioner. Who is qualify to become notary public/oath commissioner.
Sir one side no advocate can not join the any side business etc for remuneration and on the othet hand some advocates are member of parliment and also also appearing in the ld.courts as an advocate is it not violatoty to the ethics and provisions of advocate act 1961 or BCI g?
