I was disappointed that this rundown didn't go into the deeper part of King, doubly so when they mentioned his "dramatic chops". King is genuinely heartbreaking in the scene at The World's End.
For me personally I think Gary King would be Pegg's best performance to date. He carries the outrageous rebel character really well and all of the comedy from him feels full of zest and life yet in a heartbeat he can also bring some subdued sadness from his character's past. The scene where they reach The World's end would be a perfect example of this.
It's really hard to say. The whole trilogy is amazing! But each movie is unique on it's own. I like Hot Fuzz the most, just because it's a very good action movie parody to cheer up and have fun. But to my opinion Simon's acting in The Worlds End is definitely the best. ^^
PepperBeatz Didn't come close to the "Cornetto trilogy" and the end was just rubbish (Despite having ELO's 'All Over the World') but I did kinda like it.
@@peterfrank3365 it may not have Edgar wright directing it but it has the pegg frost duo and to me that’s all that matters, Paul was great, great cast, great music, not to mention it had all emotions, it’s definitely underrated
Glad to see his performance in Hot Fuzz make it to number three. I took a chance on this film on Netflix......what a treat! BTW, I honestly did not know he was in the Star Trek reboot series! Thanks, WatchMojoUK, for enlightening me!!!!
I personally think Pegg's best role was SGT Nick Angel in Hot Fuzz, i felt it was the character most different to his actual personer being a straight laced police officer, not in touch with nerd culture, but that maybe because i adore that film so much. Tim Bisley from spaced has a special place in my favorite comedy characters as well, i have seen that series too many times to count, we need more comedy like that again!
10. Doctor Who 9. Mission impossible 8. Big Nothing 7. Paul 6. How to lose friends and alienate people 5. The World's End 4. Star Trek franchise 3. Hot Fuzz 2. Spaced 1. Shaun of the dead
Simon Pegg can portray his character perfectly in movie I swear. I think his character on "A Fantastic Fear Of Everything" was the best, underrated character tbh
Gary king should have been number 1. He was extremely believable and when the reveal comes at the end you understand a lot more. Peggy has even stated that Gary king is his favorite role to play
What about his latest characters? Charlie Wolfe from Kill Me Three Times, Jack from Man Up, Hector from Hector and The Search For Happiness, Jack from Fantastic Fear of Everything? I mean, I know that these are not A-star movies (although I loved every single one of them) but his performances are still great! Maybe I'm just a fan, but still...
this is basically his most popular movies with IM thrown at the back. The World's End is at 5 because people didn't like it as much as the others and it wasn't as popular, but most people would agree thats his best performance.
Leave it to Watchmojo to pick the careful option. The World's End might be the weakest in the Cornetto Trilogy, but it is by far his strongest perfomance. But these UA-cam shills knew that the drones want to see the most popular movie on top, so here we are.
You left out his 'arsehole bookshop manager' character from Black Books! Ok, he was only in the show for that one episode, but he stole every scene he was in. "If you're honest, i won't be angry. Did you sleep here last night?" "Yes i did" "I'M REALLY ANGRY NOW!!!"
I think that the first hour of ” The Worlds End” is fucking awesome! Great acting, Great story, and funny moments! But i think Hot fuzz is the best in the Cronetto trilogy!
Simon Pegg was in an episode of Doctor Who with Christopher Eccleston/ He is Scotty in the Star Trek Kelvin timeline movies /star wars & some UK comedies. I don't care about other stuff .
Not gunna lie we was talking about what you’d do if there was a zombie apocalypse and I was the only one that said I’d go to the wincester and wait for all of it to blow over. How’s the easiest way to change your ethnicity and DNA
I really think Gary King is his best role, he is the most believable broken man I have seen in a movie
Totally agree !!
In this video Simon said, "Gary is my favorite character I've ever played."
ua-cam.com/video/WfsCoFOqEQM/v-deo.html
Completely agree, some scenes you can really see his pain even when he’s just in the background
I was disappointed that this rundown didn't go into the deeper part of King, doubly so when they mentioned his "dramatic chops". King is genuinely heartbreaking in the scene at The World's End.
Callum Fowler ‘There’s more than one Gary King’
For me personally I think Gary King would be Pegg's best performance to date. He carries the outrageous rebel character really well and all of the comedy from him feels full of zest and life yet in a heartbeat he can also bring some subdued sadness from his character's past. The scene where they reach The World's end would be a perfect example of this.
Mitchell Radford me too I like gary king it's makes me laugh and cry. It's also resemblance to my life
To add on to that, I'd argue that it's one of, if not the, best representations of a drunk person in film.
KIng Gay!
Dylan Jakins ‘some cunt scribbled out the R’
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are a comedy match made in heaven
Gary King should've been the #1

Probably wouldn't go to plan, but worth a shot! :P
David Hennessey SHOT I see what you did there
Hee hee!
Mind you, the Winchester's out of ammo; chuck us your light sabre, quick!
:P
David Hennessey I thinks we’ll need the ultimate power of the high ground
Shaun of the dead is and will always be one of my favourite movies
Is it the best of the Cornetto Trilogy?
I'd say for me Hot Fuzz is the best of the cornetto trilogy, but Shaun of the dead is great too
It's really hard to say. The whole trilogy is amazing! But each movie is unique on it's own. I like Hot Fuzz the most, just because it's a very good action movie parody to cheer up and have fun. But to my opinion Simon's acting in The Worlds End is definitely the best. ^^
"This video is worth...one-quarter portion"
That's generous since thy didn't even mention that performance. thanks for making me laugh on an otherwise shity day
Do you guys think we should have given his stint in "Star Wars" a place on the list?
I'd say it's worth more like 60 portions
this video isnt MINE!
I wanted Simon pegg more in doctor who
I think Paul is very underrated
PepperBeatz Didn't come close to the "Cornetto trilogy" and the end was just rubbish (Despite having ELO's 'All Over the World') but I did kinda like it.
@@peterfrank3365 it may not have Edgar wright directing it but it has the pegg frost duo and to me that’s all that matters, Paul was great, great cast, great music, not to mention it had all emotions, it’s definitely underrated
You guys now need to do a list for Nick Frost, please.
YES!!!
Hot Fuzz will always be my favourite Simon Pegg movie because it’s full of action and lots of unexpected twists from start to finish.
"ive got some fucking jaffa cakes in my pocket" bloody hilarious
Glad to see his performance in Hot Fuzz make it to number three. I took a chance on this film on Netflix......what a treat! BTW, I honestly did not know he was in the Star Trek reboot series! Thanks, WatchMojoUK, for enlightening me!!!!

I personally think Pegg's best role was SGT Nick Angel in Hot Fuzz, i felt it was the character most different to his actual personer being a straight laced police officer, not in touch with nerd culture, but that maybe because i adore that film so much.
Love Simon!
I was watching Hot Fuzz whilst listening to this. Also, I entirely agree with No.1
this is basically his most popular movies with IM thrown at the back. The World's End is at 5 because people didn't like it as much as the others and it wasn't as popular, but most people would agree thats his best performance.

I can't believe they left out his performance in Star Wars The Force Awakens and his performance in Run Fat boy Run
He was in Star Wars The Force Awakens?Where?
Leave it to Watchmojo to pick the careful option. The World's End might be the weakest in the Cornetto Trilogy, but it is by far his strongest perfomance. But these UA-cam shills knew that the drones want to see the most popular movie on top, so here we are.
