Rhys Clark Film & media That’s a good point, I think I phased this wrong I meant planning every little thing can make your write predictable and for me at least writing “blindly” ( not really theirs a blueprint) can allow you to get to know and create your characters and get to know them like real people also personally I’m able to write and not overstay my welcome

I liked the chart they had about the protagonist that just list character attributes, many of which never even made it into the final script.
I mean Transformers movies get over 100 million dollars worth of budget and the script is written by 3 people usually. Hot Fuzz has a budget of 8 million dollars and written by these two. It baffles me how Hot Fuzz is way more intelligent than all of the transformers films put together

I personally think they never should have made that movie. Yes it was absolutely atrocious, but even if someone like Wright directed it, the movie added nothing to the Avatar universe.

My issue with this is how discordant it is from my own capabilities. How can you have a singular thought for each character or moment and then write it down and it is all relevant? I would start to write something and it would be crossed and rewritten and torn off and written over or begin huge and end small Or did they sketch out ideas on a piece of paper and then add the really considered ideas on to the flip chart ?
In my head I see artists working hard creating a film, (like Simon and Edgar). and Then I see a "critic" commentator lazily type attacking a movie they had NOTHING to do with! I extremely Dislike critics. Go to Wikipedia if you want to see a movie plot, then decide for yourself, if you might like it...

Wright and Pegg are one of the greatest writing duos of all time. Wright is great on his own but Pegg really brings the best out of him script wise.
