    Amazing result once again. I'm learning a lot from your weathering techniques and your texturing. I really liked how the mist seemed to escape from the window at 7:38. Maybe you could try ironing the fabric on a block that has your table's dimensions. You'd get sharper edges and cool pleats.

    March 28, 2022---Thanks for showing off your diorama as it looks fantastic. Got back into modeling but going for realistic 1/35 scale zombie/apocalypse dioramas, with several of them taking place in homes. This is why I'm getting into 3D printing because there's a lot of stuff not available as kits and with 3D printing, I can make a bunch of something at one time instead of scratch building.

    Howdy, wow - that was terrific. I'm a total amateur with photography though love it. I did notice the difference in lighting when you had one then added the other. Light was more 'rounded' for want of a better word - not so focused in one spot. Made me think of those silver 'sunscreens' used to reflect the Sun onto one's face for a tan. How something similar - upside down with light shining up onto it might achieve a 'rounded' light -- I think you can picture what I saw in my head. Who knows ... Great old kitchen - loved it.

    I don't know if you've mentioned this in one of your prior videos, but in this one you left it out. Additional to that imense light that you need, another very vital part of why you get this amazing look is your Laowa probe lens. Doing shots like these are impossible without a speciality lens like this.
    One thing that I noticed with beauty shots is: do denoise your footage? I mean at 12.800 ISO even the Sony must have some noise. In most cases people actually do denoise the footage, but I think especially in your case, it would be nice to keep it, since it adds to the eerie, grimey, abandoned look.
    Either way, I love the stuff you do. There are not many people out there who also focus on this kind of presentation of their works and your's is superb. Keep it up and who knows...maybe Aputure is watching ;) Take care!

    • @AbandonedMiniatures
      @AbandonedMiniatures  2 роки тому

      The probe lens really does help for sure! It’s not easy to work with but it’s worth it. I actually did not denoise the clips for this one. At 25,600 it definitely has some noise but this camera actually is very clean at 12,800. A second “native” iso clicks in at that level and it’s cleaner than 6400iso.
      I don’t like to denoise clips too much because it makes the image more soft so I’d rather have a bright enough light to be as clean as I can.

    When you said you were going to focus _both_ lights _with Fresnel lenses_ onto your scene all I could think was "I hope it doesn't melt or burst into flames...." 😟 Glad I needn't have worried.
