Miniature Abandoned Scene with RAIN?!

- This diorama was made to photograph and film and not as a display piece. Again based on a photo from an abandoned mental hospital I built the diorama in such a way that I could film it from multiple angles. It’s a bit larger than most of my work and was a fun experiment. At the end of the video I use some tricks to film it in a unique way and maybe even destroy it!
Hope you all enjoy! If you have any questions at all drop them in the comments, I have enjoyed interacting with everyone.

You're not only a great artist, you're damn good at photography .
Thank you! I appreciate that! I really enjoy both.
I mean it's both an art. ^^
Photography is art
I continue to be so pleased to see someone else, especially a young person, that also delights in ruined buildings. Keep up the good work
Glad you are enjoying the videos! I appreciate it!
Amazing video effect at the end 🔥
Abandoned buildings give off amazing vibes. I wish to go urban exploring with friends when I am old enough
@@AbandonedMiniatures Hey please tell me what hoodie are you wearing outside, looks sick!
Wow! True Artistry on so many levels! You even impressed my husband who is not easily impressed by much of anything!
Wow, what a talent. Love your work.
Looks something out of Dead by Daylight. Awesome masterpiece!
Thank you!
A great work of art! Keep them coming.
Thanks so much!
I've goose bumps watching this incredible video... you're such a great Artist... thank you for the emotions!!!
Thanks so much! I’m glad you liked it!
What are you doing man! Your final scenes blow my head.
You amazed me with this effect
You are the Master.
I've been doing urbex since 2009. I've seen a lot of great abandoned places. Watching your dioramas feels like I'm there. It makes an impression.
Damn that was good! The rainstorm was the best even if it meant the lost of your work.
the final effect is really amazing and creepy. I love it!
I do love creepy haha.
This so beautiful and panorama. could be in a stop motion animation
It looks so real I thought this was a abandoned building vlog thing
this is the most gorgeous thing i’ve ever seen i love dioramas
Congrats, dude! Looking forward to future projects :)
Thank you!!
New sub, your work is so detailed and inspiring. Look forward to new videos
Thanks so much! Glad to have you here!
Nice work and video ⬆️❤
Amazing talent and techniques you have..I have a question what are those metal square things with holes that you use to keep things in place after gluing?
Thank you! They are called 123 blocks. Heavy and made to be very square so they are useful for a number of things.
your work is amazing, it inspires me as an artist thank you !!!
Thank you!
thats cool man
this is really good, i fucking love it
It's was truly amazing but I must say I felt a little bit sad when you destroyed it it would have been nice to just probably give it away to one of your subscribers I'm pretty sure they would have accepted it just the way it was I mean I would have 👍🏽
Love your work but could you make a version with just music. i really just wanna see you work.
That rain scene was epic :) 💜 things we do for art!
Absolutely haha.
Amazing diorama, can't believe you've smashed it. Ever thought about putting them up for sale? Couple of bucks in the hand is better then a smashed up diorama in the bin.
True
It's one thing to see a beautiful, pristine, well-built miniature model... it's quite another to see an ruined, abandoned space created so realistically. You create such amazing decayed detail work! Loved the thunderstorm! Makes me want to see an old Frankenstein's lab set up with a thunderstorm - complete with the "creature" under the sheet!! Awesome work, dude!
Haha yes this one was especially fun to film. Thank you!
Loved this! The part at the end was so satisfying-I love storms! You have such a great eye for color, the ceiling and rafters were perfect. I’m sad you didn’t add the graffiti-it’s such a ubiquitous part of urban decay! What are those cool weights? Thank you!
This one was so much fun to film! The weights I think you’re talking about are called 123 blocks. They are heavy but also perfectly square so they are great to line things up together.
Dude, I can’t believe your channel and work is coming on so much already, you definitely deserve it. I really like the approach here and trying something beyond just the dioramas as still pieces (although they’re still awesome). I think the effects worked out great. Looking forward to the next one!
I appreciate that! I want to do more with photo/video effects and showing the process in the future.
These are the coolest model dioramas I've ever seen anybody make on UA-cam. there's so realistic and they just have that gritty detail, it's amazing! by far one of my favorite channels! The only reason I found this channel is because knarb makes gave a shout out.....
Thanks so much! I’m glad he shared my channel with you, I appreciate the kind words!
This is remarkable. You’re incredibly talented. I loved the whole process of creation - and the thunderstorm too!
Thanks so much!
......YOU ARE BEYOND TALENTED ‼( AND MIGHTY HUMBLE).......TRULY AN ARTISAN & ASSET TO THE ART/MINIATURE/ PHOTOGRAPHY COMMUNITY ☝🏼........[SOUND TRACK ON POINT]
Great and stunning work! Till its end.
My congratulations!!! But I still wonder why just 1000? Your works are great and videos are beautiful! I hope you will earn much more subscribers very soon!
Yours, Alex
Thank you very much! We'll see what happens!
Brilliant. I understand your reasons, but ...damn...I don’t know if I could destroy my work like that.
Haha, it isn’t something I will make a habit of, that’s for sure!
Wow!! So mich effort for photographic art!🤯 How much did you enjoy distroying it at the end?🤔 Thanks for sharing this. Cheers🍻👍
Beyond cool. I can’t fathom destroying my art but sometimes.....
Haha it wasn’t easy!
This is literally the first time I’m watching your video and I’m subbing to your channel
This looks exactly like the abandoned room from the Captain Underpants show-
AMAZING, it was SO worth it to put rain over it just for filming purposes. Congrats for the thousand! Cheers!
Thank you! It was a lot of fun!
Your aging techniques are absolutely amazing! I would have never thought about roughing up the walls with a Dremel. I have learned a lot from Ara too. She is very talented. I think I will learn a lot from you too.
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words!
As an lover of art, destroying them is so stupid, I would purchase them which works out because and artist needs to eat...
I'm guessing you didn't want to sell it? that would've sold up so fast on Etsy or here even.
actually u don't have to destroy ur models after filmed, u could totally sell it. Im sure lots of people r happy to buy them off u, count me as one.
Awesome work as usual 😊 you certainly have a talent for recreational dioramas. I would personally love to see you do a abandoned night club, broken lights, stage and dance floor. Glitter ball and all lol 😂 superb work and a great talent
Congrats on 1k! A tiny fraction what you deserve! Incredible work and dedication to your art! A beautiful piece and fantastic photography!
Thank you! I appreciate that. I’m excited to continue to make and share more!
Your miniatures are amazingly beautiful bro 🤘👊👍
Thank you!!
I am getting obsessed with watching diorama videos, yours are really relaxing! I like your style!
I appreciate that! It’s a lot of fun!
Hot damn I thought that was real for a sec that’s hella impressive my guy
Really brilliant piece. Loved the feel of the lighting and then the rain just helped. The wet floor was amazing.
Here's to 1000 more and beyond!
Thank you!! I loved how the wet floor worked out too! Maybe in the future I can find a way to make one look wet like that permanently.
О мой Бог, красота, особенно эффект с грозой. Но зачем ломать????
Wow!! What a fantastic diorama, so detailed, decayed and super realistic!! You captured the look of this abandoned room. The photos looked fantastic! I had mixed feelings about seeing it be smashed up, but I did why you had to do it! Really looking forward to seeing your next one!
Thanks so much! It was a lot of fun to do something different with it at the end. Filming it was definitely one of my favorite parts. Appreciate the support!
JESUS THIS IS A HELLA MASTERPIECE!!!😍👌👌👌👌👌
Keep up the great work. What u are doing is amazing!
Thank you!! So glad to hear you like it!
Absolutely an amazing artist...I literally shouted with joy when I saw how beautifully the rain effect came out on film. Absolutely breathtaking!
Thanks so much! Glad it was all worth it!
You have an amazing artistic eye and I am deeply impressed with both the original photo and the miniature version you made. Sad that it was destroyed, but I totally get the *why* of it.
Wonderful...wow
Thanks!
I just discovered you yesterday and I'm glad YT recommended you huhuhu Now I'm inspired to really do actual dioramas. I actually enjoy making low-budget dioramas for school projects (like using popsicle sticks, toothpicks, buying toys to make up for 3D printing things, etc.) but really did not have the budget and inspiration to really pursue it. Thank you so much for this! You should think about selling your made dioramas heheheh
Your builds make me come up with an entire story in my head. They are really cool and I think they'd be cooler with backstories.
oh wow the lighting you achieved is so atmospheric! I am learning a lot from you and this one was spectacular! Congrats on the Subs! Memorable ending too...I love it!
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it, this was a fun one.
Wow! It's been a good year for you! Celebrating 1000k subs in April 2021 and now in Jan 2022 at 60 000 subs!
Thanks! Here’s to 2022!
New subscriber. Instantly hooked after watching your challenge with Bently House. My current project isn't even a building and your videos have my mind RACING. ❤
So glad you like them! Thank you!
Your use of the latex on the radiator is just stellar. Legit the best rust effect I've seen for miniatures on UA-cam
Jesús Man! I really enjoy watching your videos....you're amazing
Thanks so much!
The Crafsman from Steady Craftin brought me here. Wow. First video, doubtless of many, and have subbed and ring the bell. Keep up the great work! Aloha
So glad he did! Thanks for watching!
just discovered your channel today, was so surprised to hear you say you're celebrating 1k, and now you're at 69k! congrats, that's amazing growth
Thanks so much! Glad you found me!
I'm always looking for ways to spread glue , seeing you use your fingers makes me feel better about not finding a easier quicker way. I've made my own tool and it works for awkward or small places it's a small piece of hard plastic taped to paintbrush handle 🖌️ after removing the bristles.
Look up silicone basting brushes. The glue won’t stick to them after it dries! I’ve just been too lazy to get some.
Another fantastic build, though watching it get hit with a hammer made me think of the scene in the movie "Mr Frost" where the character has created some wonderful dessert, only to take a photo of it and then send it into the bin. Sometimes art for arts sake can be brutal. ;-) Cheers!
Haha. It did hurt a little after all the work put in, but I love getting to move on to a new one!
Wonderful stuff here. So glad I found this channel. The rainstorm effects are blowing me away. One note about water though--I do notice that it behaves differently depending on scale, e.g. the size of water droplets, ripple size, etc. It seems hard to scale with water in a convincing way the smaller you go even with slow-mo, and it becomes noticeable (at least to my eye). Do you know of any way to mitigate that?
Water just really can’t be scaled down unfortunately. It’s very hard!
I've been watching scratch build and model videos for a while now, and I can't believe that this is the first day I've seen your videos - and I've been binge watching for the last 3 hours. Your work is absolutely mind blowing! I can only hope to be as good as you when I finally start trying to make my own.
That’s awesome! So glad you’ve been enjoying the videos. Definitely give it a shot!
Incredible model! It served its purpose well. Your models an those of Lori Nix and Kathleen Gerber (ua-cam.com/video/nZh3Oi7d0q0/v-deo.html)are an inspiration.
Thank you!! I appreciate that.
Amazing job!! Photographers unite! I also have just made a couple of small dioramas of sort. They are in snow globes.^^
Thanks! That sounds cool!
good job ! greatings from austria
Thank you!!
Your music is so scary I feel like is the end of the World with these abandoned dioramas. So sad that you broke your artwork, but as an artist myself I sometimes do that, just because. So I understand.
Ever watched The Brothers Quay?
I definitely try to make them into their own little worlds.

Throughout the video I was unbelievably devastated that you'll destroy this Masterpiece ! But at the end It was 200% worth the "thunderstorm" shot 🔥 I'm still a bit sad tho
Haha glad you liked it! It definitely wasn’t easy to do, but I liked how it worked out!
I went to an abandoned school and this is what it looks like
Wow 🙀 I really really love ur miniature but I'm sad 😭 coz ur work is gone I want to buy ur work but no money hahahahhahahaha 😆
Haha thanks!
🖤
You do amazing work, I did hold my breath when you destroyed it. I too make miniatures but not at the level where I am happy to share so havnt ventured into ýoutube yet. Keep making content I absolutely love your work
Thank you! Sometimes I worry about putting my work out there too haha. Keep it up!
My heart breaks when you destroyed the model... for added effect you could have let the water dry
Fantastic! Congrats on 1k!
Thank you!
Congrats on 1K ! You are nearly at 2K by the time I am seeing this. WOW!!! This was so awesome to see and you are so brave to destroy something like that in the name of art. I know how much time and energy go into these dioramas. But if you hadn't chose to do that we would have the treat that was the cinematography at the end of the video. That was beautiful! Thanks for the shout out for my technique!
Thanks Ara!! I really appreciate the kind words. It was a lot of fun to make and film! And of course, I learn a lot from your videos!
@@AbandonedMiniatures Thank you😊 I sent you an email btw!
Just sent a reply 😃
Very Good. May you could have sold the diorama ? I did like the rain and lighting :)
Thanks! Maybe in the future!
I’m blown away by your work.
Thanks so much! Glad you like it!
So satisfying to watch.
Nice to see a miniature artist AND a fellow DWP fan!! Haha!
Haha absolutely! Thanks!
This is amazing 🤩 you are so talented. I love that you find beauty in things most people wouldn’t, thank you for sharing this with us 💜
Thank you! So glad you enjoy it too!
Круто, такие вещи можно снимать в кино вместо унылой компьютерной графики.
Dude that lighting effect was dope. Well done
Thanks man! Appreciate the support!
I thought of Nix and Gerber as well. Great work.
Thanks so much!
THAT was absolutely PHENOMENAL!! You got skill and talent!! AWESOME VIDEO!!!
I would have brought the model back to the place you took the original photo from. Leave it there if you can or take a photo of the room within the room
Love this idea! I have since moved away from that area, but I will definitely have to do this with a future one sometime when I visit.
Im watching your miniatures for months. I could say its 100% realistic and perfect 😍🔥❤️and you are a great videographer too..Can I know what is the background music you use for this project?
if i had the ability to, id be traveling to explore abandoned places. its cool to see someone appreciating them in even more artistic way than just photographing
You're awesome man.
Thank you!
I know this comment is really late to the game, but WOW! This is absolutely incredible. Although I have to admit, watching you destroy it at the end was a bit heartbreaking.
I just found your channel, I'm hooked!
So glad you like it!
Increíble trabajo
Thank you!
WOW! That's epic! I loved it! You're incredibly talented! Not only on building the diorama, but filming cinematically this! I'm very impressed!
Really admire your work, what site do you order the tile molded foam boards from?
Thanks! I got these on eBay, but they were JTT Scenery O scale square tile sheets.
Somebody pls agree with me that he has the charm just like Chris Bale - The Batman !! Amazingly great artist and a mad good photographer, indeed ! Love your work !
Wowww!! Wowww!! Wowww!!!
Im crying!!! 😭❤️👍👏👏👏
Outstanding & impressive!
Liked & subscribed & shared 👍
Suggestion : how would you like to use more retro music to make it seems creepy & nostalgic. Just my oppinion. Tq.
Great video, William Fichner-Serj Tankian-Matthew McCouaughey-Robert Stack
