- I made the dumb decision to push the limits of my Onewheel GTS and paid the price! Don't do this! Live life vicariously through me as I dive roll with both my hands full at 31 MPH! The first of many mistakes was being at 30% battery...

God damn. No matter how good your muscle memory for falling is, those speeds are too fast to properly react to unless you have some air time. Glad the wounds were minimal
Thank you! Super logical response for all the haters! With both my hands full as well. Their is no way to prep for falling at these speeds. Besides more PPE, their is no proper advice that can be given from someone who has not fallen at these speeds themselves! Appreciate the comment. I'm just about healed up. Wheel fun weekend video coming soon!
simply suit up in one of those rollerblade suits and prepare for it :)
When I was 14 years old a bunch of us were taking it in turns being towed on a skateboard behind a friend who had a motorcycle. We were trying to see who could could be towed the fastest... It was in the 70's so none of us had any safety equipment, I fell at 36 MPH after a speed wobble.... I still have the scar on my hip, I'm 61 years old now 😂😂😂
Yeah, I definitely got some battle wounds from this one! Check out the carnage www.youtube.com/@Magic_sk8board_media/community
& I'm here ordered the GTV & ADV Pro; racing to hit 40mph...
BRUH!!!! You did that at 30% power?!?! DOH! I would not ever attempt anything like top speeds when below 80% on my Onewheel GT, and I weigh like 135 pounds. I'm glad you didn't get hurt too badly, but am sorry you ate any street in the first place. Having said that, the fact the board got you to 30mpg at 30% battery is quite the testament. The GT can't do that! In fact, one of my Number ONE pieces of advice for fellow riders is to ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR BATTERY VIA THE APP. The heavier you are, or the steeper the hill -- the more conservative you have to be. God Bless.
Words of wisdom! I appreciate you. FOMF
best crash on film ive ever seen
We appreciate you volunteering your body for science. I'll stay safely down at 25, but big thumbs up for letting me know what happens at 31.
Having crashed a bicycle going 30+ I gotta say good call on the protective gear.
You earned that fall attempting this below 50%. But respect for your full send !
You took that fall like a champ bro. Glad you are ok other than minor but painful injuries. Ive seen folks get permanently injured doing much less.
On the flip side , *pun intented, spectacular footage bro.. glad your ok 👍
lol Thanks! I haven't seen anything like it.
wonders never cease 😂 appreciate the entertainment@your expense. a GTS & a GT-Vesc will be my next two boards. #ForScience❗️🤙🏾
Now this is a GT-S commercial!!!! pretty awesome and that was quite a Tumble 🤟🏼
At this point in One Wheel history, and with virtually every single rider/owner I know possessing the understanding that a high power status is critical to prevent this from happening, specifically at higher speeds I'll assume that I'm the stupid one for not know why this was attempted at 30% power. 3:15 agreed but glad you're okay.
Thanks.
Glad u walked away with minor injury. But, u hit that 31 with ease, float on player!
I appreciat it TY. This is me @ 31 and not eating it! ua-cam.com/video/WdFrl2DNvzU/v-deo.htmlsi=esZ5HcP_hUq28Ji6
Flying on the board. Glad you okay. 😎🖤
Me too! I was an eye opener forsure!
Speed runs with no gloves or wrist guards nutty buddy I've had my palm almost hanging off lol not fun I never ride without gloves stay shreddy brah
Damn dude! I bet that hip was crazy looking the next day!

FRFR check out the carnage!
OUCH! Glad you're all good homie!
Forsure, appreciate it 🙏
Dude, that board is screaming at you!
Gnarly, quality bail 🦾🦾
Glad you're okay. Try a suspension EUC like a begode max et if you like speed. EUCs are eons ahead of onewheels in terms of safety.
I love my ex30, I crash often but it's because I'm nuts and do dumb things😂😂
Anyone whose crashed at 20-30 (27) for me on my boosted board that shit will set you straight. I didn’t ride my board for 3 years after that made me respect the throttle and power for-sure!!
For real! My PTSD won't let me past 29 now! I'm good with that...
Atleast he didn’t knock out with no one around. Not sure what one would gain from doing this. 30% battery is a poor time to top speed. Only positive I see from this is a okay lesson for others to see. Thanks for putting warning and do not attempts on screen
you earned my respects bruh. I have never seen anything like this in the name of science. Hope you heal soon ⚕️
That has a nice ring to it, "In the name of science." Yeah, it's been about a month. I healed up alright, made it in time for wheel fun stuff weekend. So that was cool. I appreciate the comment.
The function wrist guards have saved me and at least you had knee and elbow pads. Running out going that fast gave my foot plantar fasciitis for 3 months and my shoulder is still not the same
Yea, I got a set. They're super comfy. Video on that coming soon. My hand is definitely bruised! Shoulder road crashed pretty badly. Thanks for the support 🙏.
Perfect run out, roll and protection. If only you can see your duty cycle.
Yea, that would be ideal 👌. 30% battery didn't help the situation. I've gone 32.2, so I blame the duty cycle and battery % Outside of the fact I'm pushing the limits...
Something else to add to my "things people on the internet do that I shall never do" list. I'll just stick to the low 20's and call it a day 🤣
LOL! 10/10 wouldn't recommend! I typically cruise at 23, 25 ish. FOMF
This is why i wear a full motorcorss helmet and also a motercycle rated jacket with spine protector elbo pads and shoulderpads
Will also be getting the jeans versions because going down at at 35mph plus sucks ass
Definitely words of wisdom! Check out my "Are you too old to onewheel" video. It talks about my new PPE and why
Science!
Always gonna be people who push the limits, respect though. I've gone down a few times on my wheel.
Thanks bro. I watch you ride but haven't seen you go down ... Thanks for the comment.
I have one video where I overtorqued it at an intersection and one POV slideout. The other crashes are not documented @@Magic_sk8board_media 😅 Thank you
We have a saying in Alaska, there are old pilots, there are bold pilots, but no old bold pilots.
Words of wisdom. Thank you.
@@Magic_sk8board_media Cheer man
Bro how do you go past pushback without it nosediving on you
👍👍
No wrist guards is wild bro 😮
I ordered fxnctiongear.com/products/shredder-wrist-guards for the future.
Very good bail
yeah I wasn't sure how I was going to handle that until I was goin down... Luckily I got a step and a half or so before hitting the ground. Thanks for the comment.
NICE! ;) HAHA
Glad you're okay. That's nuts what happened to your camera though. The way the lenses are exposed makes it scary to film. But you did it. For that,, we thank you.
Thanks, I appreciate it. Surprisingly, the Insta 360, my phone, the rode mic and receiver, and my stiizy are all working still! I put a screen and lens protector on the cam and mic the day before this ride. I wont be doing "science" anymore!🤣🤣
@@Magic_sk8board_media So the lens protector worked? I was thinking of purchasing the protective lenses, but I was worried that it would interfere with the stitching, and perhaps introduce distortions. But your video looks great with the protectors. I take it you now don't leave home without the protection. :)
@TheAnimeist It worked perfectly (the lense protectors) insta 360 brand. There's a setting for the stitching in the camera itself. Where you tell it that it has the lens protector on it. You can't see the stitch line or anything. In this video, I actually have the rode mic, a cord, and an adapter that also hides perfectly in the stitch line. If you wanna do wireless Mic.
Good sport about it. 30%!?! Yikes my dude... Speed run should really only be done from 100-80%... The voltage and kV of the motor matter most and anything lower than that is going to lower top speed dramatically.
I would say only do it off a fresh 100% balance charge, not just "once the light turns green" kinda thing. I sit and watch mine balance, it doesnt take as long as FM says (longer since it's been done, longer it will take)..
Also, Float life and/or function full fingers are your friends, i highly recommend both! Definitely the functions for serious runs. While you're at it, join me and the full face helmet crew. 😏
Hope you came out okay. Not barking at ya or nothing, just throwing out some suggestions. Sht looked painful. 🤙
How long does the buz last usually ?
Can I go 25 on my GT with a buz without falling ?
The buzz will last as long as you're maxing out the speed until you drop below the necessary speed.
Gts=25 buzzing
Gt=20 buzzing
The fastest I've gone on a GT is 27.5. That's riding through haptic buzz and pushback...
@@Magic_sk8board_media o ok so basically there's no way to stay at 25 on a GT
You hear the buzz slow down or fall.
@nanisantana2155 The only way to hold 25 is to ride through haptic buzz and pushback...
Bro you’re crazy for this
🤣 10/10 wouldn't recommend! I lived once, I wont be testing fate again.
Crazy, I am currently recovering from a Tibial Plateu fracture doing the same thing on my eSkateboard
Heal well. best wishes.
Respect mec 👍
Quand on dépasse la vitesse maximale recommandée sur la planche, est ce l ordinateur qui coupe le maintien en équilibre ou est ce vous qui avez accroché l avant de la planche sur la route?
I did not clip the front of the board. I was maxing out the speed and pushing through pushback with only 30% battery causing the board to stop balancing me.
Je n'ai pas coupé le devant de la planche. J'atteignais la vitesse maximale et je poussais le refoulement avec seulement 30 % de batterie, ce qui empêchait la planche de m'équilibrer. Thanks for the comment.
@@Magic_sk8board_media merci pour votre réponse 🙂
Thisbis the 2nd video ive seen today of someone testing top speed of the gts. The other dude seemed way more hurt thst you though. To me it feels mind boggling to try.
I tell people if they want to ride 30mph comfortably, get an ADV that can hit 40mph. Or go euc. Onewheels arent made to go fast.
Im glad you are ok.
Thanks
YOLO!😆
electric unicycle is your next upgrade
Haha thought the same. 30mph is like nothing, you reach that in under 3sec.
But dude, level up your gear
I have next level balance but I don't think I'm ready! lol
Bro, you're never ready. Get an EUC, it will change your life. You'd be a badass rider. @@Magic_sk8board_media
@@Magic_sk8board_media oh it's not harder to ride, just harder to learn. Go get an used inmotion V8, and just try it for a week every day. You'll get it, I trained 25 people who all said they will never be able to ride it.
Although I have to say, riding for 6 years now... Don't do it, unless you're rich.
@@Magic_sk8board_media I started with a onewheel. Get a small v8 or starter wheel. Thy pay off is amazing and very much worth it.
Bro you need our new Pro Hip Pads!
I appreciate the FB message! Ill be getting ahold of you soon!
I was crusing on my GT at 21.6 mph when my battery suddenly cut out on me and it nosedived me onto the pavement.
I was loving the ride up to that point.
ALWAYS know exactly how much power you have left in your battery!!!
Float On Friends!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sorry to hear that. Words of wisdom! FOMF
Do you know what battery percentage you were at?
@michaeldepalma8616 me yeah 30%. Most people were saying that I pushed my nose down too hard but I believe that the angle of the camera made it look that way Cause I kept centering at 360 Is when reframing. I think it was because I was pushing it at 30% battery. And that's why the nose dipped.
You also need a full face dude. No more half helmets
So when the battery dies/ over heats does the wheel just lock up?
This was a combination on me exceeding the limits of the power and speed at the same time. The result is the board stops self leveling, and because all your weight is leaning forward, you nose dive...
When the battery dies or overheats pushback happens until you stop and turn the onewheel off/recharge.
Oh fuuuuck ☠️ way to survive!
@@Jakethefartist 🫠 appreciate it 🙏
It basically runs out of power to balance the board and the nose dives
Took that like a champ tho lmao 👍🏻
Yesir!
I recommend to wear motorcycle coat with protectors when doing stupid things, you must have shoulder protectors to protect your collarbone
Thanks for the tip. I ordered www.amazon.com/gp/product/B099181T7C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 For that reason.
Triggers my memory of dumping on my onewheel. And yes, I was pushing the limits too. Broken wrist bone, hematoma on my hip, and lost a few seconds.
I'm sorry to hear that... Hope you're still shredding. I won't be blatantly dancing with death anymore... Wasn't worth it.
@@Magic_sk8board_media Yeah, I take it a bit easy too. Don't heal very fast anymore, be 53 end of the week.
Happy early birthday 🎂! Better safe than sorry, as they say. Have a good one I appreciate the comment.
I feel of the OG GT at that speed and have gone 34 on the S series
I only hit 27 on the GT. My app says I've hit 32.2 on the GTS but I've only documented myself hitting 31 without eating it!
No wrist guards!!! Dude. Come on
needed one of them sumo wrestling suits
Definitely 🫠
🍒on esk8 only wiped out twice at 32mph first month while learning to ride. Check for cellphone/keys, in 15sec riding away. soreness and hips/shoulder scratches. gone after good night's rest.
😱 OMG, it really makes a world of difference when you're on a single wheel vs four. Onewheels/unicycles your knees go down first, skateboard it's hands then elbows. That's what allows doing an appropriate tuck and roll since skaters need to be better at falling than riding anyway.
watching you picking up pieces after onewheel rolls down the road is heartbreaking 💔 after hundreds of bailouts/potholes/curbs/stones can't remember a single time my esk8 flipped over.
Actually watched lotsa accident vids before purchasing and mechanical safety beats electronic safety any day of the week.
heck, one time after swapping to street wheels forgot to tighten one nut, wheel came off at high speed down the highway 🤣 I sheite you not... I barely noticed. why is the skateboard tilting to one site? slow down looking everywhere... nothing. Then I see a wheel rolling down the street 🤣
after a ton of mechanical/electronic catastrophic failures never wiped out (after the first month I was learning to ride, ofc) 😎 HAHA
Speedy recover m8 💪
Thanks for the comment! It was definitely an eye opener doing down at these speeds! Its been like 4 weeks and im almost at 100%. I appreciate the positivity! Skate on my friend.
I’ll subscribe to that
🙏 TY
I know that land forward flat on the ground hurt 28mph when it hurt for me going forward flat on my gt at like 23mph😅
Definitely! Respect. Glad your ok.
@@Magic_sk8board_media thx man keep up good vids, love your content!
@@Coolae450 much appreciated 🙏
Why would you do this on an updated FM board (haptic buzz) on 30% battery. You never try full speed runs under 50% ESPECIALLY since haptic buzz was released
Facts!
I'm glad you walked away from that. I have an XR and it's fun to ride but if want speed and performance get a EUC. It's not worth messing yourself up trying to make a onewheel do something it's not made for.
🙏 Facts
Ouch.
10/10 wouldn't recommend!
wow no wrist guards or hand protection...you do know what you are doing. Maybe haven't seen many skateboarding videos of broken wrists or fingers. Try falling at 47 on an EUC. Stay safe my man.
Lessons were learned. Check out my community tab to see my PPE selection for Wheel fun weekend race day. Appreciate the comment.
I can clearly see the tilt back in ur footage @2:03 to 2:05 and then watching u forcing through the push back…
I think this board has an improved push back window….
Like a good 2 second before the rider licks the ground.
I pushed through pushback from 25mph up. 32.2 is my fastest but that was with full battery. I was @ 32%.
I hit 27mph on an xr but had no pads
Yikes!
Not as painful as your next hot shower will be. I'm glad it wasn't worse.
Thanks.
Did I hear him right 30% battery!? Why would you do this on a low charge?
Mistakes were made... lessons were learned.
No wrist guards and but more protection is pretty dumb
If your comment was ledgeable, I may be offended... Good day.
Man I'm so glad you didn't hit your face on the pavement
Me too, definitely! I have a full-face helmet for pushing the limit now...
That looks painful, 31mph is fast to fall at on a board, I sk8ed for so long and fell so many times but I dont think I was ever doing 31mph
Definitely painful lol! did you notice where I was at? 10/10 wouldn't reccomend😆😆
@@Magic_sk8board_media yeah I know that spot lol, the ground looked okay there though, like no rocks or anything, but you might have sucked up some tire OPR and got stuck in the wheel or something throwing you off idk
@B14CK_H4WK I pushed past the power and speed threshold with minimal battery. This was forsure my fault...
Got the shot tho...
Gotta pay to play, and I did both lol! I wouldn't take it back. 10/10 wouldn't do it again.
I have a scar on my hip in the exact same place.....
Twinzies! lol
Wear gloves?
I wasn't no... Lessons were learned. Check out my new video thumbnail
Need better equip for this kind of tests. Keep safe
I have since upgraded in a big way. Much appreciated
Imagine how much power that board is wasting with that stupid buzz 😅
For real! I made a short about it lol!ua-cam.com/users/shorts2L82R-9Mx2U?si=2N9nE7vGPi7AZF0c
That’s why ide never buy one of these one wheels im sticking with 2 or more
Onewheel, 2 wheels, 4 wheels. No wheels. if you push the limits, you're probably gonna hurt yourself. But definitely stay within your comfort zone. If two wheels is your comfort zone, you do you.
Bailed around 20 and broke my tailbone. Made a life long skater reconsider getting on a board again.
Glad you're still skating bro. I wont be tempting fate again! appreciate the comment.
stupid games stupid prizes
Stupid comment stupid human😎 Be original.
Try going down at 45 mph it sucks worse
Yikes! No, thank you! I'm glad you made it!
@@Magic_sk8board_media the life of euc is not for everyone
I will never understand guys that buy a one wheel to go in a straight line on concrete and crash. This thing as so much more to offer. Try taking your skill to technical trails it's actually safer ironically. 30 % battery? Are u thick?
You should check out some of my other videos. You may be pleasantly surprised to see that I. Film race cars and off-roading on the one wheel. Thanks for your input. Have a nice day.
Well that was dumb..
As I said at the end, "I deserved that." My wife said your exact words. I went to work the next day and all week... no rest for the weary... appreciate you
What the F were you thinking doing that at 30% battery. Oh Californian, carry on not using your 4 brain cells.
Onewheel was created in California Einstein!

Why didn't you try to catch it knowing the dip was coming?
I was very much ignorant when I made this video. I knew what could happen, but I didn't know it would happen to me. I couldn't catch anything if I tried. I learned a valuable lesson that day.
