Knowing the actual top speed is mostly about knowing your safety margins. With the GTS motor on your GT you obviously have less margin once you hit haptic buzz. Now keep in mind that top speed is directly proportional to your voltage. That 30.4mph top speed at 100% charge translates to less than 25mph at lower battery levels, so you might nosedive as soon as or even before you get that haptic buzz when below 20 percent charge... Be careful!!!
You forgot to record the wind speed and direction for your test. You gotta do it again 🤣🤣🤣

I just upgraded to the GT-S motor after breaking the GT motor. I have yet to push it as hard, thank you for testing it.
I damaged my gt motor while replacing the tire. I may have to do the same.

Nosedived off my xr at 27, no pads just helmet, broke my knee bad like 10 more weeks b4 i can walk or so
It really looks like you flew over the ever so smallest pot hole and that might have been what over-torqued it, though it was delayed on when it dumped you.
The same thing happened to me on a GT 27mph nosedive. The asphalt had a 2" wide recessed line cut into it and when I was pushing it, I went over it and a moment later, I nosedived.

Just the low range? After this test i dont know why anyone would get rid of their gt and get a gts. Crazy low range and it doesnt even go faster? Unless you professionally race onewheels up steep hills, i cant think of a single reason to get the gts.

A gt is $2200. The gts motor is $800. Thats $800 that u could be better spending on literally anything else. This video proves that its not worth it. Unless like i said you're a professional uphill onewheel racer. Just trying to save ya money.

@shredlifema9734 Well man sorry but ive done 30mile rides after the update. And my board nosedived at 28mph. I was just tryin to persuade people that own a gt already to save their money and not waste it upgrading to the gts.. but everyone has the right to do whatever they want.
On the GTS motor on the GTS series the motor can handle 33 pretty good because the voltage until you hit around 36 and 37 it gets loose

I have fangs. Generally what happens is it goes nose down and then the board slips away and you fall on your ass. Falling on your ass is pretty much best case scenario though.

Shit man.. high speed testing is never a good idea on a onewheel. 28.9 mph crept up on me once on my gt and same thing happened. Ruined myself! Everyone keep it under 25mph please!
My top speed was during a fall at 22.4 mph I think. I'm done with that shit and feel lucky.

Oof. Rough choice. Need full tac pants and tac shirt and more. This is why I don't want to go 30mph even though my adv starts pushback at around 30mph and can go up way further. It's not worth it.

Wait... a nosedive was NOT the plan? How else are you supposed to "speed test" a board? It's programmed to push back at a pre-determined speed irrespective of the hardware. Once you decide to push through that safety point, the only other indication of any sort of limit is when it bucks you off. So, surely, the only way to test how fast it can go is to lean in until it nosedives. How was this not entirely the expected outcome of this test? Am I missing something?
Geez, before I got to yours, I was reading through all these other comments, and I was like: “there’s not a single logical person in here with normal brain activity?!”
No wrist guards, no kneepads, no hip protection( most likely), and shoes that are falling apart, and on top of that he choose to do this test on a very rough/ high grid concrete.
