@11:25 Jeff! Thank you for bringing this topic up in the video. I’ve been experiencing the same issue since updating to custom shaping/haptic buzz on my GT. So frustrating when you’re hanging at a light waiting for it to turn green and the motor disengaging when you’re just tilting back and forth at slow speeds and it dumps you. Seems like they made an adjustment to the firmware and I hate it. Definitely feels like a bug. When I reached out to them they told me it was a footpad issue and to buy a new one. Glad to see a brand new GT S series out of the box is showing the same thing. Hope this gets more eyes on the issue and gets resolved.
Yeah, it's definitely not a footpad issue because you can see there's multiple other people in this comment section saying the same thing. And the only two boards we have updated on the new firmware are doing it and I've never had it happen or any of the other boards that aren't updated to the new firmware.
Just got done riding mine for the first time and it was a blast! Comfortably going 25mph for the time is definitely a smile moment.

Shit, $3200 for "5MPH" more before the buzzkill... hard pass. I've ridden at 28mph on my GT no problems before they wrecked the board I bought with their little update. FM can go fly a kite with this one. Excited to see what the VESC boys do with it, but I've moved on to faster and more repairable pastures.
Dude 99.9% of gt riders will hit 23 and piss themselves (I know from experience) 😅
I hit 28.1mph pre-haptic update and 28.6mph post-haptic update.
I don’t think haptic buzz is a big deal. Didn’t change my speed at all. Also I’m 185lbs.

@@unsolicitedditkapics9722 Jeff rode the GTS to buzz in the video without full pads. I guess he is used to pushback and buzz after one month or so!
Here’s a hot take, the gts is what the gt should’ve been when it first came out. Literally changed/fixed everything people didn’t like about the gt, from it being tippy, tire, weight. Now the gt really feeling like a prototype to the gts. But awesome video as always tfl!

@11:20 Can confirm the GT-S acts the same as the GT but worse when going backwards and you heel lift. Dis-engage on me today going like 3mph while it seemed like gt wanted 2mph and it most def should be a 1mph or less kind of thing.

I've bought and sold quite a few used Gts (tottal ridden about 10 gts but 8 I had for weeks or months) from offerup craigslist fb etc. and notice the GT model tends to dis-engage while going backwards at more variable speeds than I recall other models doing.
14:29 - FACTS. Anything more than 20-22 mph and I'm more concerned about reaction time/stopping distance. That's the sweet spot for cruising fast. Solid first impression video!
Im pretty glad I didn’t pull the trigger on the GT-S. Doesn’t seem like the crazy upgrade like I was expecting. Happy with my GT but my next board will definitely be a float wheel. and $3,200?? For what? What a waste of money. Get yourself a float wheel 🤙🏽
Agreed 💯 3,500 bones after tax with no fast charger included and no extra parts. Looking at 3,800 after tax with everything if you want the fast charger and extra parts. There is so many better and faster things out there for that price. Not practical.
It's like buying a car with 15 extra hp, 25% less mpg, and paying almost 50% more money for the pleasure.

LFG BOYS, I love your content as I am a onewheel & EUC rider, I love both and honestly I notice more ppl in the EUC community hating the one-wheel!! They are different form factors and the both have things I enjoy but I notice when I mention this on an EUC channels they just bash when it is not needed.I have a GT, XR, ---s22 and ex30 and I love then all... People need to stop the hate and while I do love the new voltage/motor it is very expensive but if you are a top rider on a one wheel the skill is so intense... it goes like this to me --- One wheel is easy to learn the basics and the euc is too*** but for alot of ppl it will take slighty longer, the difference is that at the top end of racing ( prior to the gts) it required more rider skill imo on the gt race for the rail where the euc is a great sport as wheel I just think the one wheel riders need more talent due to thier limited specs... Just my 2 cent as both are fun and I always come to you guys for my float game ;) Keep it up--- I love you guys

Exciting as f bro! Good for u. I'm rocking Ag T with the XR conversion. Smaller hub Stephen deep rails and a Hoosier tire. And it's bad to the bone I want the new GTS but I don't know if the float wheel is just as good. I don't care about power on paper. I care about how much faster and linear writing we can do on these.
YEAASSSSS!! I knew it. Ever since I updated my GT with the haptic shaping, going backwards cuts out really easy. I knew I wasn't crazy. I've been dumped twice already. FM... PLEASE FIX!

Besides the disengage when going backwards, the new firmware ignores most custom shaping in reverse. My GT was repaired by FM this fall and then I put my WTF rails back on. The tilt was back to factory, so I pitched the nose up almost 2 degrees. I works fine going forward, but in reverse, it ignores the tilt shaping so the tail pops up and the nose drops.
Took that man’s new board and really broke her in.
I’m sure they would hook him up with any new TFL bummers after this test ride 👌

I've often wondered: does Jeff realize that having the chin strap so crazy loose on his helmet makes it almost useless? No hate here--I rarely wear a helmet--I'm just not sure what's the point of putting it on like that. It's sorta like the appearance of wearing a helmet without any of the benefit lol

Lets be honest, all of the individuals complaining about the price and needless floatwheel comparisons want one and can't afford it, or has a spouse thats a tsa agent inspecting ups packages. Its every individuals right to purchase what they want without the critic police hating on the individuals willingness to fork out the cash to buy one. Yes its expensive as hell however, you cant put a price on a product that helps you cope with everyday BS. Im 6ft 220lbs, the extra power gives me a little more cruising speed and confidence. I was a little salty at 1st not having the newest board, so i sold some toys that were collecting dust in my basement and will be riding this beast wednesday. Im a pilot so all i have time for is charging and riding. If i was into tinkering, i would purchase a floatwheel. Floatwheelers/onewheelers, float on!!
I got this coming from the gt and it accelerates SIGNIFICANTLY faster. I csn gap my friend on his gt easily
Tsa agent.fking hilarious bro It's honestly probably worth every penny and be clear. I would imagine there will be used ones available in the next year for 2 grand. When the moron's that have never written one of these at all, go straight to the gts and end up becoming squid, they will sell them cheaply. That is how I got my one wheel GT with a mere 30 miles on it for 1500. Thanks to the owner's broken clavicle LO. L.

It reminds me of the old QVC shows when they push the reasons why you should buy a electronic can opener compared to using the manuel version. They make the person using the manuel version fumble around while sweating and shaking his head in frustration. Check it out!

I was really disappointed they didn't just go for something with more range at the higher end and then have this model as well. I expected them to try to beat the float wheel and this thing about matches its specs but doesn't match it in price so it doesn't exactly beat it. But I am disappointed to see that instead of just beating the float wheel and beating the GT they only focused on the stats of the float wheel. I am happy they are at least responding to what happened in the community but this is a clear reaction rather than an offensive strike by future motion. They are clearly scared

The name of the board is “series” so I don’t see why there won’t be more options in the range
This board was designed before the Floatwheel was launched. The first early FW ADV didn’t ship until July 2023!
@@ronvanzuylendude was very open about his development of the float wheel though. They knew it was coming, they filed a lawsuit against float wheel in 2021.
Hey there! I have an XR and ride in MISSION. Most of the time I hit some bump and land it happens same as you do in this video. Like lands more on the tail and I have to push forward to balance. I see you set deactivation delay. Can you explain a bit more? Cause I cant find it and your video looks like exactly what happens to me

250lb rider here on a GT. I've been noticing that when I just get on it and go, the juice isn't there and I get the buzz. With the extra torque of the GT-S, think it'd still be as bad of an issue? I find myself mostly cruising at 15-17mph most times on street, so top speed isn't the issue, just the acceleration.
I don’t think it’s a bug. He lifted his heel when he went in reverse. The single zone setting is calibrated so that you can still do heel lift stop at slow speed.
Anyone know if there any accessories that the GT have are available for the Floatwheel ADV?

@@Justsobusy that’s what I’m leaning towards. The fact that it’s pro right to repair, more customizable with VESC and most importantly it’s half the price of the GT-S! I definitely think it’s a bang for your buck my only concern is just leaving the ecosystem of Future motion, I’m loyal to the brand because the Onewheel helped me a lot during the pandemic but maybe it’s time to jump ship
Do what I'm doing wait until something comes out that better suits your needs. For me I don't need this type of speed I just like to cruise

Nope
You could swap the controller with a VESC and DIY some adv sensors into it. Then you almost have an adv.
Of course, you could just buy a stock adv instead. But maybe you prefer the rip-stick look of the GT.
You could build your own full custom vesc for less than the gts costs

11:10 If you put the zone thing on it, thats prolly why its deactivating going back. Bc taking half a foot off going less than 2 mph/backwards/slowing down is what turns it into a 2 zone. (Also, the grass part looks SO FUCKIN SICK. WHERE IS THAT??)

65 percent battery i would be stuck with the pint already and new update on app makes it something wrong with sensor now, hopefully like u said it’s just a bug they can fix, but yes very frustrated

From what I remember when I was out there testing, I'm like 90% sure they're V2 motors. Also got my wheel in the same batch and that was V2 motor

The feasiblitiy of Floatwheel ADV and VESC wheels forced Future motion to step up. Unfortunatly they still priced the GT-S as if there arent solid alternatives like in the past. Thing is, there is competition now, and the price doesnt reflect that.
I've noticed that disengagement issue. It's so annoying I just figured GT firmware but I would gladly have it changed if I could. Glad I'm not the only one.
I’m having the opposite issue, my GT-S stays on like a posi now. I have to jump off of it, kinda scared it could ghost.

sorta... in the new custom shaping, you can make it stay on a little longer before deactivation.

It shouldn't be since it's like a gt but they've already dealt with ghosting but it's also new so we will have to wait and see

The FM boards that I have been riding are re-wheeled so the push back is removed. Yeah, I've been riding mostly VESC though

So glad my XR and CBXR are dialed in with my favorite shapings; no way I’m ever upgrading to buzz-ware. And my ADV rips… I couldn’t imagine paying twice as much for a buzz-board.
FM needs to figure out how to eliminate that tail drag. Best part of vesc is that magic of a clean landing every time.
I think it was the jumps and de-weighting with the sensitive foot pads. It seemed much flatter after the custom app setting change.

the range is because of the cells, they dont have as many cells in the gts so the range is less than a gt. They cant make it have as much range as the gt and still be fast as a gts without redesigning a new battery compartment/whole new platform to house it
