    Wow, there's certain important details that a lot of explanations seem to miss out on, but Kyle hit the mark with every single one of these. And shoutout to the body varial tip on pushing your toes up! It's something I've never really thought to actively think of or do when I'm jumping flat footed, but the moment I tried after watching, the board stayed rock solid every single time. Definitely gonna be using that when teaching others 🤙

    Yo… not blowing smoke up your ass here but this is one of the most useful trick tip videos I’ve ever seen. Everything is so well explained and nothing seemed glossed over. As soon as it gets dark I’m gonna try all three out with a fresh perspective 🤙

    I've been de-weighting my reverts and just muscling through the spin with the wheel mostly flat. Nice tip on focusing the toeside edge!

    Thanks for the video Kyle. I've always wanted to learn how to bonk, but couldn't get the coordination or confidence to commit to it. But your video was very clear and the key element / takeaway for me was the "pre-load". For some reason crouching for the pre-load helped me overcome the fear of "tripping" over the obstacle im trying to bonk. And crouching for the preload really makes the following de-weight work so much better. Thanks!

  • @SnowyBlizzard
    @SnowyBlizzard 2 роки тому +2

    You can see when he’s “de-weighting” that his hoodie lifts and floats, that’s just a visible demonstration of the momentum gaining influence over gravity👌 its mostly intuitive once you start practicing

    Gotta second what I read. Have watched videos for a few weeks on the same tricks and my guy here actually threw in some easy explanations that helped me that I didn’t hear before. The deweight without actually jumping and the toe life to keep the weight in heels also the toe side and heel side of the wheel really helped me. I was trying to spin on the flat of the tire before so this made it easy!!! Good vid

    Hand's down one of the best in breaking down and detailing how to do these tricks, I think I've watched this vid at least a dozen times . I've watched a lot of others out there as well; the only thing I wish these vids would include is what the best: tire pressure, tire used, and riding mode is being used or to use. I just need to wait till it stops snowing outside for me to try these out... gr8 job

  • @oldretireddude
    @oldretireddude 2 роки тому +7

    Great job, I really like the detail that you offer. A question about the revert move. Your instruction as to how the board reacts differently when toe side vs heel side seems to be specific to the square profile of the XR tire. As a Pint rider is the procedure the same?

    • @WheelFunStuff
      @WheelFunStuff  2 роки тому +3

      The Pint tire is a lot more round than the XR tire, but the procedure is the same. With the Pint you just won't need to lean very far onto the edge when reverting. You really don't need to lean on the edge on any board, you just want to put all your pressure towards that inside edge. I exaggerate the lean a lot in the video but its more just the pressure toward the inside. Hope that helped 👍

    Yo another good suggestion of body variable is learn them spinning your body frontside spin not backside like I learned them cause backside has a blind aspect to it do a video showing backside spin varials cause your head on a backside spin does a 360 so it’s tough

    If I could give a small teaching tip ... with physical skills like onewheel tricks, follow the sequence of demonstrate, explain, (and if you’re with live students), imitate. Show the trick first without any explanation. Then explain what you did and what to think about, such as keeping your toes up. Then get the students to imitate it. If you explain before demonstrating, people have nothing to relate your explanation to.
