A ramen hero 😂. I was definitely struggling there at the end...I think I skipped the next two meals! I’d love to see you review some of the weirder flavored Ramens
In the next few days I'm putting up a video on Pineapple Ramen (not instant). But I think a whole video on weirder ramen would be cool too - have enough backlog for such a video 😃

Considering that I was born on the day of the year that instant ramen was invented (but not that actual year) it’s no surprise that I’ve had a lifelong obsession with instant ramen but I can’t say I’ve ever had that many at once, that’s impressive! Now I want to try some of the fancier instant ramens like you did here for myself, yum! I don’t like pork though so I’d make one without it, but probably one with seaweed those looked delicious!
The stars were aligned the day you were born! Crazy variety here with the instant ramen, including the fancier ones. I think that was definitely a record for me in one sitting 😅

The pork bone ramen without the pork bones? That was a pleasant surprise! There's a certain technique with slurping...but I've had practice in Japan, with everyone starting early here 😅
woah that is some next level tasting! I'm surprised Ichiran did not make the list, but thats the closest ive ever come to an authentic bowl of Tonkotsu Ramen. I like strong silky broths so Ippudo, Ichigen and Ichiran (not listed) instant noodles are on my list! Cant wait to actually visit Japan one day and have an actual ramen coma.
It will be a continuous ramen coma, as I'm sure you'll have a lot to try here! Ichiran this year released their first ever bowl style instant ramen - might have to feature them in a video 😊

Tonkotsu w black garlic oil is a tasty discovery here. I love hearing about your new innovative rsmen discoveries! I also appreciate the map id of location. Haha, thanks! I was in a ramen-induced coma the day after. There are plenty of regional styles I haven't yet tried. Tonkotsu w/ black garlic oil is famous in Kumamoto. I've only had the instant ramen version (and places serving it here in Tokyo)...but not the real thing in Kumamoto! That's awesome how you know about it - very tasty indeed! Haha yes, plenty of water is key for any of these ramen marathons 😅.
Once again sacrificing your body to teach us all about ramen. 😂 The soupless 175 Degrees Deno noodles look great!

The other day I bought a vegan instant ramen from an IKEA branch in Tokyo...outside of that, I haven't seen too many...but will search. Would be nice to get at least 3 in a video!

What's the best place to order instant noodles from Japan to try for someone in the US? I have GOT to try these noodles and have searched but have no idea where to start.
Have You Searched Asian Markets In Your Town Or Neighboring Towns... I Have Found Many Doing That...

Feel free to check out "ZenPop"! They ship themed instant ramen packs around the world. Outside of their services, it's unfortunately difficult I think to find these outside of Japan.
In the future, I need to set up such a business myself! When that day comes, I'll reach out again.
Hey I just ordered a box of the cup style “cheaper” ones and one box of the bowl style but my man question is how much water do you add and how long to microwave? Does this vary or is it pretty similar for both/all types
For the smaller cup ones, 300 ml or so. For the bowl ones, it's usually around 400 to 450 ml. Are you just microwaving the water? I wouldn't recommend putting anything else in there - boiling the water with a kettle is best👍

I like udon, soba, sushi, tonkatsu once in a while, yakitori, hiyajiru, Hiroshima style okonomyaki - the works! Yourself?
@@5AMRamen Aaahhh, ok. . . I was beginning to believe you didn't eat anything but ramen, LOL! I've tried a number of the things you've listed. However, this being the states, they are going to pale compared to what Japan offers. I do love good sushi; it can be life changing. I've only experienced one place in my area that I feel has EXCELLENT sushi. As far as everything else, I would love to come to Japan and try it all.
Great question. I'm learning to cook Japanese food. Mostly homey dishes like ginger pork or gyudon. I'll leave the sushi and ramen to the professionals.
@@Kas-S Haha! There are so many great regional dishes too that don't get the spotlight - whether Miyazaki chicken (charcoal grilled) or noppei jiru from Niigata. Endless options! That's great tho that there's excellent sushi there, even if jus one place. When travel is back, I'm sure you'll eat it all here in Japan 😃

End of the video: 11 instant ramen packs? INSANITY! However, most of them looked amazing. It's not so easy to get good ramen here in England.
Haha, I think I reached some sort of heightened ramen enlightenment after eating the 11. That's true - I should have talked about the ume (after forgetting to add it)! Great choice with that silky pork bone ramen. I've had some bowls in London and I'm sure good ramen is only going to spread everywhere eventually!
