Hello! My friend!!! I am glad!!! To see you and your gorgeous plane!!!! My friend !!!! Breathtaking flights!!!! And soft landings! Clear sky!!! Твой друг Вадим!
Such a beautiful authentic looking plane. Love the metal, the minor details and the weathering effects. Love the smoke, some of those camera shots with the sky in the background are good enough to be put in a movie!
Gorgeous model, and flown so very well, too! Clearly the ol' Merlin is getting a bit tired, though; I think a new set of piston rings is required!! Thanks Pete......cheers, Dougal
Very good. You know that the RR Merlins had three sets of piston rings, while the Packard 266 Merlin had two? That sometimes caused them to seize because of poor lubrication?
What an awesome spity I love the size, smoke, realistic fully functional exhaust headers and the weathering is awesome hopefully this guy wins some prizes for having a model that looks so realistic. Thanks again for taking the time to get video and stills of this and every other plane you have filmed. Regards, Pete. Keep up the good work tbobborap.
@@AlbanianGladiator not a better engine but a better designed exhaust that filters the high frequencies of the 2 stroke. There are many examples of such systems on youtube where 2 strokes sound much better.
I dont know what else to add for outstanding model, performance and flying.........unreal job. The other comments just said it all. Just a little dig...that pilot didnt have a regulation haircut!😃 Additionally how do they produce the smoke? Is it a oil reserve tank injecting oil in to the cylinders? Boy what a treat to watch this beauty. Fying with such grace in the air. Thanks again for sharing with all of us tbobborap1
Many thanks scott, yes eric put on a great display for sure, there is a separate tank full of specially designed environmentally safe smoke fluid (by law) and yes it is pumped but not directly into the cylinder as this would smother the engine power, rather it is pumped into the hot exhaust manifold and vaporizes instantly, also you can get different fragrances of smoke inc bubble gum or strawberry or peppermint or more flavors - i kid you not, thanks for supporting our channel over time scott, regards pete,
Beautiful plane. Too many RC warbirds look like they just came off the shop floor. This Spitfire looks real. The smoke is cool, but a little bit goes a long way....
Actually, the DLE 170cc engine sounds pretty good, and gives very good performance for such a big 1/3-scale Spitfire. Realistic flight speed and beautiful performance. The DLE 170 cc costs $1,000 USD and puts out 17.5 hp weighing 4 kg. An equivalent 4-stroke realistic-sounding Kolm engine IL230-V4 with 3 cylinders costs $6,000 USD , weighing 8 kg and puts out much less power due to it being a 4 stroke engine and turning only 6,000 rpm, while the DLE turns up to 9,000 rpm. The DLE-170cc engine has power-to-weight ratio of a turboprop engine while being very cheap to own and operate, and has very little vibration due to the horizontal-oppose 2-cylinder configuration.
Lovely aircraft, I suppose the more is OK, it looks like one that has been in the battle with the Hun. I really admire the time and effort put in by these enthusiasts not to mention the expense.
Very nice, defo needs a 4 bladed prop though. I'm guessing that the heavy weathering on the fuselage sides is a result of all that smoke rather than being painted on?
Nice model and control, but I've never seen a Spitfire so heavily weathered!! I'm sure for the real thing, the RAF had specs to ensure that the squadron codes, lettering and serial number remained legible? Also too much use of smoke - the Spit got hit by flak in the engine on its take-off run!! Far better - and more realistic - to have activated the smoke on it's last circuit and then brought it in to land with a "damaged" engine?
fantsatic model and display. I watched a fair few today and this is the first that made me smile, it just had something else... and I don't mean the smoke.
Beautiful. And so refreshing to see large ic engine being flicked over using safety glove to protect hands, a lot of our younger generation and up and coming young pilots watch these vids?.
Lovely model with really nice detail. Having built lesser models, I can vouch for the time, effort and skill that goes in. I could never get to grips with RC flying and sadly had to move on. Great to see the esperts. :)
A fantastic model! and an excellent flying display, but why put out great clouds of smoke? It completely ruins the display, apart from putting hideous stains up the sides od the aircraft.
You are completely right! If real Spitfire had smoked like that, than it would be very useless and unsuccessful fighter. Man, put that smoke away and it is great! Or put less smoke to proper place where it comes from.
We read the description - we just think that it takes away from the graceful lines of the Spitfire to have it constantly flying in a cloud of smoke. During aerobatics and maneuvers - yes, but basically takeoff til touchdown - it's overkill. Very nice plane though and nice flying.
Why so many internet Jack-wagons who feel it necessary to tell other people how to make their models/videos? Maybe they should make/fly their own models and edit their own videos as they see fit.
This aircraft looks too good to be true and it was expertly flown at realistic speeds. I love the beaten up worn look, it looks like it has seen some service. Because it so good (perfect?) the engine sound and two bladed prop are the centre of attention...
+Team Hansen Honda G'day, I agree, a beautiful model, fully fucked up by a foolish fetish for fuming furiously...; it looks like it has an Oil-Fire, or a Glycol-Leak which goes on, for far too long. If one were filming a Movie of the Air-War over France in late 1945 , with Models, then this would be absolutey perfect for staging all the scenes of Spitfires crashing in flames...; but for Display-Flying it looks horrible, a visual anomaly.., an Aerobatic Engine-Fire.. (yuck !). It's great for visualusing the Airflow over, and the Downwash behind, the Wing's Aerofoil Section..; so, all the Fans of Henri Coanda (pardon that pun !) will no doubt be thrilled... *If* a Spitfire really really *must* be retrofitted to fart a controllable Smoketrail, then surely it's hot (insulated) Engine-Exhaust could've been plumbed internally to release the Vapour-trail from the underside of the Fuselage, in a single plume - rather than the alternating "Puff...Puff...Puff...Puff..." stacato alternating effect, which this example displays from it's 1-into-6-Pipe Dummy-Stacks on either side ; it's the dissipation of the point of emergence which fouls the look of the thing... In my humble pontification, anyway... ;-p Ciao !
Top job Eric. A nice scale-sized 3 or 4 blade propeller would complete the illusion. Well done.
Great pilot😮 Especially with all that exhaust smoke in his face!
lol

Thank you very much ben !
Awesome Spit, the smoke is too much. Looks like he got shot down. Great flying thoug!
Amazing! Just awesome
Nice to see you here

Very good. You know that the RR Merlins had three sets of piston rings, while the Packard 266 Merlin had two? That sometimes caused them to seize because of poor lubrication?
If it had a Merlin engine sound, you could almost believe it was a REAL Spitfire although the landing gear looks a little short. Top job, Eric.
Stunning model,love the weathering
thanks richard Glad you liked it
@@tbobborap1 keep the smoke, it loos good and different. Never seen a plane with it. Can u add oil, make black smoke?

The plane is beautiful and deserves a better engine.
That plane rreally needs better engine

こんなに主脚の幅が狭いのに、よくまあ上手にランディング出来るもんですね。いたく感心させられました。Very very good!

This is the best model Spit I have ever had the pleasure of watching. More, please!!🍻

Wow what a plane👍🏻❤️

that mower engine and the two short blade propeller goes great with such a fabulous WW2 figther.
Pilot and plane are awesome

thanks ira - a common sense comment at last,
stunning Spitfire...stunning flying Display thank you.
😆👍👍
Stunning....so much skill of the builder.....sorry dont like the smoke.
Amazing.
Thank you! Cheers!
This is R/C to the extrem, great job and one of the best I've seen.
Would have looked 99% better without the smoke...
And the civilian pilot.
Have to agree, scale is about scale of the type. Looked odd wth smoke,
Looks like it just came out of combat with a 109.
SMOKE??? What smoke??? :D
I agree

Everyone is complaining about the smoke but I think it adds a good effect awesome plane doesn’t need a thing to change, perfect!
And the dodgy spinner. Can't help thinking the ground crew would have cleaned up a bit. Nice big spitfire .
That was some very smooth flying, with a well built aircraft, well done
That’s one smoky plane

Perhaps change the chip fat fuel for something that allows one to see the aircraft!
Haha!! Fair one
Thought it was for effect at first. Gives the impression the engine is running too rich.
Too rich !...it looks like its on FIRE. Beautiful finished aircraft, no smoke needed.

The smoke killed it! Not overly powerful from that dreadful sound but an amazing toy plane just the same👍😉
endwood , toy plane, you trolling right?
To much smoke? Or is it a very rich carb mix? If it's intentional, I'd dial it back. If not, reset carb AND smoke system! Beautiful aircraft!
intentional its how he likes it carl
I like the sound of the engine and the worn look of the Spitfire. This Spit has seen service. Very realistic but needs a 3-bladed prop.
thanks john
Four bladed, its wearing D-Day marking so is most likely a MkIX, so should have a Four blade propeller

nice slippers!- like the spit too, the exhaust pipes are cool, but maybe a bit too much smoke?
Fantastic , great job on it all. What kind of Engine is that?
