We see and hear some quite amazing large scale, scratch built, radio controlled aircraft on our travels. These aero-modellers are so dedicated to their hobby. They spend countless hours creating these big aircraft using their vast skills and knowledge of our entertainment at the shows and events we film at around the UK. Enjoy !

Absolutely spectacular collection of incredible aircraft. Such workmanship. I particularly loved seeing the Sea Fury; my father served on HMAS Sydney before her decks could no longer support aircraft and she was decommed - the Sea Fury was always his favourite.
Love the turbine sounds just can't beat that along with radial motors

Anyone else seen the Sea Fury with a Moki 250 and geared 5-blade Seitel prop? That has to be the best sounding model ever made.

@O.P., We all know the types of aircraft, but here what we would like to know is what engine is used in each of them. Please update the description.
Why the heck does the announcers talk and talk all the time instead of letting people enjoy the shows and the sound of the engines!
No idea. Just come from a show in Germany and they were quite minimal on commentary during flights.
Hmmm. If the owner says it is a Yak-11 then I guess it is. Does look more like a La-5b, which was a single-seat fighter. Wikipedia thinks the Yak-11 was a two-seat tandem trainer, but Wikipedia have been known to get things wrong. Both had radial engines.
In any event, glad to see a WW2 Soviet fighter represented when there were many western Allied radial-powered choices.

12:00. Galloping Ghost crashed at the Reno air show in 2011, killing pilot Jimmy Leeward and 10 spectators. Sixty-nine were injured. Airframe stress and re-used of a single-use lock nut caused the elevator trim tab to fail in flight. The airplane veered upward, subjecting the pilot to 17g and incapacitating him. The airplane then dived into a grandstand.
Did anyone go high enough to lose sight, even for a minute, in those low hanging clouds? Didn't think so. What's the range twixt controller and plane?

Fps vs rpm sucks
Nothing to do with FPS. It's about shutter speed. That is the time the shutter is open for each frame. In bright light such as that event the shutter is not open very long so sometimes get weird effect.
