For everyone complaining about it not having a radial engine... There simply aren't any mass produced options available that have a sufficient power to weight ratio. This aircraft uses a 500cc ZDZ quad that weighs 31.75lb with the ignition system and makes 50hp. It's the largest engine ZDZ makes and as such was also the limiting factor of the overall size of the aircraft. The only radial engine I know of that comes close to that kind of power is the Valach Motors 800cc 7 cylinder which only makes 45hp and weighs 62lb, twice the weight of the engine currently used in this aircraft. Likewise, Moki doesn't even make a radial larger than 400cc so they aren't even a contender. Money obviously wasn't a concern when building this aircraft, the only limitations were the available components. The engine used was chosen out of necessity. The 2 blade prop is also necessary due to the limitations of the engine.
Thanks you for explaining. Most people won't get. It amazing job. I fly pistons too but the biggest I have is extra 300s 500. Question: how was the engine limited to have 4 blade prop?
I just want to say this pilot of the P-47 is extremely fortunate, to have such a beautiful wife who shares his enthusiasm in RC flying. The professionalism displayed in his flying skill is beyond reproach, the detail in all the control surfaces, it just looks so real. I'd love to attend the next soonest get together and see this aircraft in action. What a plane. For what it's worth, I'm leaving a "Thumbs up", a subscription, and a tap on the bell, I'm willing to settle for watching this team on video. Thanks for taking the time to share with us who don't get to attend the meets.
*65 horsepower.* My 1946 Luscombe 8A came from the factory with a 65 horsepower continental four cylinder boxer engine. It has a 35 foot wingspan and a 35mph landing speed.
Jesus. The Nerves must have been Insane when he Maidened that plane. I'm sure there not much better now. But man. It takes an incredible amount of Moxie to fly a model like that! Well Done. Thats the Biggest problem I Have taking my planes out for the first/second flight is the Dancing Thumbs....
120 lbs...50 hp.... That sounds about right!?!?;) She's one big beautiful bouncing bahama mama!! Thanks Wes n Boozers for sharing this. AirHammer out!!
Fantastic bird and flight. OMG I didn’t know Frank has passed, I met him many times at his Fla jets events, Frank was a little crude and rude but the man would give you the shirt off his back ... he treated me like a long lost cousin one year making sure I had everything I needed to get lots of flying in after all my stuff except my plane got lost in shipping one year. God speed Frank.
Exceedingly cool. And the best thing about it = his wife isn't there with a scowl on her face when you come back from being at the flying field all day!
You separate the Men from the boys, by the size of their toys!!!....AND how they fly them!!!! Nice job!!!! Keep the dream alive!!! Have Mario Seidel make you a 4 blade and finish the look!! That propeller has no business being on that plane. “ if you’re goin to play the game boy, you gotta play it right”!!
Would be cool to have an equivalent detail Hawker Typhoon. Perhaps with a four cylinder air cooled boxer type four stroke. They were the British version of the Jug and had a unique sleeve valve system. Very powerful and prone to torque steer windup but in the hands of experienced pilots devastating ground attack capability. Mine would be Miss Julie Ann. I currently have 53 flights with my 52” wingspan electric Carbon Cub and it’s thrilling to see such excellent pilotage and structural integrity.
SWEET. What an awesome plane. I know you would love to get your hands on the controls. This Old Man keeping you and Ms Lori in my prayers 🙏. Love you guys 💝💝.
Wow, what an absolute beast! Great model, and flying. You can get an idea of how heavy it is by the landing approach speed. Also guys, it was really nice to see a video without that annoying camera spot! Nice vid! 😉👍
Too bad it doesn’t have a scale prop. It’s a myth that 2 blade are more efficient. R/C plane magazine tested that theory years ago and proved it false. If it was true the actual aircraft would have used one.
I find it hard to understand, why people go so far in detail, but then install a two blade prop on a Warbird, that NEVER had one!? I had to put at least a three blade on my "47", as it just does not look right with two.
BRAVO, Wes, A++ video. One of your best videos you have ever done brother. VERY WELL DONE. Yeah ACDC is going to get your money taken. Oh don't forget about the Top Gun Anthem. Good idea covering the mic when it was playing. We will see you guys soon. Can't wait. Chomping at the bit. Exciting times bro. Congrats on the new family member.
Hello, great model. Looks stunning. May I ask what sort of retract did you use? Home built or off the shelf units as I'm trying to update the ones in my 1/3 Mustang as their about 30 years old now. Any help would be fantastic, Amy x
Wow, this is the most beautiful scale plane I have ever seen. The detail in that cockpit & the size. Just Wow!!! But yes, I agree with others here, A radial engine, Moki makes a 400cc or do some machine work and combine two Moki 250cc for a total of 10 cylinders to keep your HP & Torque. The sound would be much more accurate and get a 4 blade prop. Even if only for display. You may need to commit some serious crimes to pay for those Moki engines though. I have a large F4U that I cannot find a 4 blade that flies well in the correct diameter for scale. I do not have the funds for a custom made prop. So it displays with a correct scale three blade or four blade (I have both). But it flies best with a slightly smaller "scale incorrect" four blade??? Go figure. Happy Landings.

Love the plane, can't stand the sound of it.

Awesome and welcome to the channel 😉
Very impressive plane. Well done. When landing an airplane of its size it can chew up a lot of runway.
Back in the day Frank and the boys flew by the seat of their pants. No computer radios, no expo. Just pilots and heavy metal.👌🏽
What? You mean the original full-size P-47 didn't have exponential on its control surfaces?
My favorite WWII aircraft and she's beautiful.
Wow beautiful plane you can keep your Mustangs I'm a jughead for life!!!!
I saw this P47 at 12 o’clock high in Florida 2017 I think, glad to see the canopy on it. Truly an amazing plane
I probably saw this in Oshkosh but had no idea it was an RC plane because it’s so big LOL !
THIS IS HOW THE EXPERT PILOT'S DO IT ....
HAT'S OFF TO EM'
*65 horsepower.*
My 1946 Luscombe 8A came from the factory with a 65 horsepower continental four cylinder boxer engine.

Awesome machine. My 1:1 Cub has 100hp, weighs 780lbs, lands at 60mph, cruises at 80...and it’s almost the same size. Too cool!
So you just bought a real plane and put a receiver instead of a pilot =)
Now THAT is the sport of MODEL AVIATION!!!
Only thing missing is the noise of the machine guns!
Hey Thanks beautiful bird thanks for sharing
Jesus. The Nerves must have been Insane when he Maidened that plane.

That's awesome 😎 What A plane ❤❤❤
Used to fly small ones. Very impressed.
PNP version coming soon...$39,999.99
Sweet can I pre order it? I will use my house for a down payment
@@MerryBoozerRC We only except Dogecoin at the moment
Dang it all I have is Bitcoin
James --HAHA-- Wesley got to save up for that youngin..... LOL....
Yes!!!, Flightline P47. I knew it, YES!!!
That Jug is amazing!!
Missing two propeller blades .
If only pratt and whitney made motors for RC planes.
Exceedingly cool. And the best thing about it = his wife isn't there with a scowl on her face when you come back from being at the flying field all day!
Such a beauty doing just counterclockwise circles ...
Beautiful scale aircraft.
Many a Jug brought her pilot home shot to pieces and struggling to maintain flight but still ticking.

9:24 works for me - so cool.
Something like this really needs 360 degree articulating FPV 😁
P-47 , Love them invasion stripes. I bet you felt like a little kid out there with it. I know that is one of your favorite warbirds. :-)
Yep I want the sticks just for a second lol
Thank you for sharing your P-47 and the video with us.
It’s an amazing plane, it’s one of my favorite plane, the P-47…
The owner is dazzlingly beautiful
You noticed that too? lol.
Beautiful aircraft and very talented piloting.
My favorite allied fighter plane!
Thats more power than my 2 place Eagle ultralight carried!!
Wow she a big girl, sounded and looked great 👍🏻
why not use a 4-bladed prop?
It’s an amazing plane, great model, and flying.lovely P-47,Thank you for sharing your P-47 and the video with us.
STILL..SUPER COOL...ONLY THE BUILDER CAN COMPLAIN. EVERYONE ELSE....JUST ENJOY...
The EDGE of RC P-47
Would be cool to have an equivalent detail Hawker Typhoon.

...oh sorry...the noise of the 2-stroke engine in such a perfect model is horrible....
OMG. WHAT A BIRD. 2 THUMBS UP.
What a Razorback... Awesome! Thank You very much for showing us !!! Like nr. 206
SWEET. What an awesome plane. I know you would love to get your hands on the controls. This Old Man keeping you and Ms Lori in my prayers 🙏. Love you guys 💝💝.
Haha yea I would love a chance but that one is definitely out of my price range lol 😂 thanks John😊
4 receivers wow cool Awesome plane Love Warbirds
my uncle flew one of these in ww2... said where he sat, to the bottom, was like 8 ft... inside was hugh
Man what an impressive airplane looks like you and Papa are going to have to step up your balsa game to keep up with that.
Lol 😂 nice to dream right
Lucky man -- your wife (the owner) is very attractive. (BTW, the plane is nice, too.)
That's so cool ,I love it when the bombs dropped . Could not see what they hit . Great stuff guys
Wow, what an absolute beast!
Great model, and flying.
You can get an idea of how heavy it is by the landing approach speed.
Also guys, it was really nice to see a video without that annoying camera spot!
Nice vid! 😉👍
Yes we finally fixed that 🤦🏻♂️
I expected a deeper throated sounding engine which I would have compared to a Moki 400. That an electric engine?
Very nice! Thanks for taking the time to cover some of the Top Gun action!
Awesome p47 one of my favourite warbirds.
Me to 😬 but I also really want an avenger
I want to be like Frank!!! :-)
Beautiful including the nose art.😁
2 blade prop?
dscheezes george mcfly ! - what a beast - fantastic project - well done sir !
needs a 4 bladed prop for sure!!!
Big beautiful beast 😍❤💖💓♥
It needs a 4 bladed prop.
Wow what a beauty!
Yes it definitely is
hell of a hard landing. after 100 flights.
Fantastic flying, wow a flying work of P-47 art, enjoyed it, Jeff in LA USA
Man one of the most beautiful airplanes I’ve ever seen
With 50hp it almost needs a constant speed prop 😂😂😂
But why 2-blade prop?
Awesome aircraft! But with all the realism it exudes, a scale 4 blade prop would have been perfect.
It’s just hard to run the 4 blade prop there actually not very good performance in the RC world a two blade will always be more efficient
Sweet!
What engine is in it, it sounds like crap sorry.
Very cool! His wife is the Face of O’Meara Ford here in Colorado
Yep that’s her 😉
My Uncle Cpt SD Ulch flew with the 56th fighter group in England
Awesome P-47!
Yes it is. Was truly amazing in person
Gorgeous
When you get at this stage of scale models you just completed the game. Awesome.
Thanks for sharing! What a beautiful plane!!
lol flite test we need you to steal the record
Lol 😂 they might be on different planets as far as price goes
What a Machine!
Great show, Frank was an awesome Builder, wow.
Beauty MBRC, well done on Your new Junior Boozer too.
Thanks 🙏
What a Bird. 2 thumbs up.
What make engine is it.
Too bad it doesn’t have a scale prop. It’s a myth that 2 blade are more efficient. R/C plane magazine tested that theory years ago and proved it false. If it was true the actual aircraft would have used one.

Beautiful plane...great vid, thanks ! ...
Hard landing.
Would a 4 blade prop move a 4 cycle engine?
Very nice.
Nice ! Disappointing to not see a 4 Bladed Prop though
It’s very difficult to turn one on these small engines. Unfortunately there not very efficient at this scale
If there was a 4 blade prop on it it honestly wouldn't look any better the prop would barely extend past the cowl lol
Why don't any of these tail dragger guys taxi with the elevator full up like you're supposed to?
Amazing!
Yes it definitely is
***** Absolutely Phenomenal!!!
👌👍👏👏👏GENIAL
Beautiful plane!! Great flyin, thanks for sharing Wesley 👊🏼👊🏼
awesome fighter i liked the bombing run and the machine guns chattering
needs a 4 bladed prop....

I’m not sure as this was another gentleman’s airplane at top gun but I definitely wanted to share it
Needs a 4 blade prop .
A couple of the guns should be 22's .
