God, I remember for about 2 years I couldn't get the secret menu working on the DVD - so many times of hitting 7 on the DVD player during Starfuckers to no avail. Then I seen some random comment on a thread say it had to be 6 on certain DVD players and that worked. It was absolutely worth the wait for the hidden Reptile video alone. Good times & Cheers for this Rob.
Who remembers getting chills up and down their spine watching this trailer, or the ninetynine promo spot back in the day? Goodness gracious what a time to be alive.
Add me to the list of people who would gladly gobble up a 4K upscale of the whole thing. If the original tapes are out there, I would love to see a few bonus tracks. It's been a while, but I think Even Deeper, The Fragile, and Somewhat Damaged were all filmed as well. We can dream.
i'm fairly confident i watched this trailer 3 million times when it was first released. watching this again, it hits all the same beats that i've engrained into my memory pattern. what a throw back.
It's possible i spent more time menu investigating than watching the show back in the day, Great release. I hope it gets the full treatment one day.. This and DM's Devotional re-released in HD would make me a happy chap.
Best live recording of all time. The feature that allowed you to switch to static camera for la mer/the great below/the mark has been made an added stroke of genius
Last year using Topaz I upscaled AATCHB in 4K. Just something fun to try out like your doing. While not mind blowing it does look better. What's great is since I have both versions of the DVD the final copy has both Dolby and DTS tracks. I think it took about 3 days to complete. Each frame taking about a minute to process. Final file size is 29 gigs!
I received a UA-cam notification for this video and thought it was an announcement for a 4k official release of the whole DVD on Blu-ray or digital/streaming until I saw the ending and I realized it's just the old original trailer. 😭 Looks great btw. 👍
This tour was my first NIN show. spokane, wa. Having AATCHB is one of my favorite concert dvd's and takes me back for sure, one of my prize discs still on the shelf. What the dvd totally misses is A Perfect Circle opened for this show. It stands as one of the best double line ups i've ever seen at a live show.
I tried originally doing it in one pass with Gaia, and it looked okay but kept a lot of noise. I got better results by doing it in two passes. For the first pass, I used Artemis LQ and upscaled it to 1080p (1440x1080px in 4:3 aspect ratio) in Prores (don't use MP4/MPG or anything that compresses it). Then I used Artemis HQ to upscale the 1080p version to 4k (2944x2160px in 4:3). I don't know if it was the source rip I was using, but I found that keeping the sound through all of that messed up the audio-video sync and seemed to degrade the sound quality, so I used Premiere to drop the source audio back in to the 4k video and it aligned just fine. Then I exported with Media Encoder to compress it for UA-cam.
I used to put this DVD on before every show as part of my ritual to help me get psyched and pretend that I wasn't going out to play modern rock singles in a mediocre cover band. 😂🤦
THE EARLIEST EXAMPLE of an epic trailer set to this epic piece of music.
Best live DVD of all time. The editing is amazing. Rob rules 🙌🏼
Absolutely, 100% agreed.
You sure got that right.

THERE WAS A HIDDEN REPTILE VIDEO!?!?
I've watched this so many times, the upscale here looks great too.
Oh god, I remember calling out for work for this DVD to make sure I got the DTS version. I'm so happy to see this in 4K.

This is my favourite show of all time Rob, thank you!

Thank you Rob! We love this NIN's era and all of your work as well!
Yes!
Thank you for this Rob
So awesome! Thanks for making these uploads! I wish this would get a 4k bluray re-release too!

Would LOVE a 4K release of this!!
I didnt start til 9 years later but this dvd got me interested in shooting live music. Great upscale!

Best concert DVD ever!
This is awesome rob! I’m hoping for a full 4k disc release if you guys are up for it.
That is not up to me, I’m just doing some tests here for my portfolio - but it’s a good proof of concept!
Topaz has a full feature 30 day demo I believe, so you could do the upscaling yourself for free if you own the concert DVD
Man, this was (and still is) such a ground-breaking release. Still my favorite concert dvd of all time.
I received a UA-cam notification for this video and thought it was an announcement for a 4k official release of the whole DVD on Blu-ray or digital/streaming until I saw the ending and I realized it's just the old original trailer. 😭
Looks great btw. 👍
Yeah man. Still my favorite.

Waiting for the whole gig in 4k please 🙏
Now I just need a 4K screen
Please release the UPSCALE 4K BLURAY!!! Take my money AGAIN!
I've used topaz before, great upscaling software
This looks great. I own this on DVD and I also own Topaz Labs Video Enhance AI. Can you share which settings you used Rob? I'd like to experiment!

@@RobSheridanProductions That's cool, many thanks Rob for sharing your insights about this project.

Please release a 4k version with DTS and Dolby Atmos !!!!
Do you have the Still teaser that you plan to upscale? This looks fantastic!
Please tell me a UHD version is coming ?
i mean, a cultural reset.
Wasn't there at least an Hd-Dvd release as well?
You're thinking of Beside You In Time, the 2007 concert film from the With Teeth tours. That one was filmed in HD and released on Blu-ray and HD-DVD.
