Centaur Overdrive : Creamy tones from the Boss OD-200

Boss is most famous for it's aggressive sounding distortion pedals but there is a secret mythical beast living inside the OD-200. It's the creamiest Overdrive that I've ever heard from a Boss pedal.

I like the overall intelligence in the OD-200’s design and was leaning towards buying one. But I was worried about the dominance of, what you called the “Angry” Boss tones in the pedal. While plenty of players love to stay in that ‘angry-zone’ mainly, I like it as a dynamic ‘spice’, like habanero, or ghost peppers. Not as a main tone, for me.
Your tour of the OD-200’s Centaur mode, & boosts makes me think that I could be very happy with THAT setting as my base ‘sauce’…to which I then add ‘spicy’ tones as the music requires.

In my experience it is not very easy to use if you want to go beyond just selecting an overdrive/distortion.
