Oil rig workers, Miners, North Sea fishermen, These guys literally may die even when they're asleep. Some factory workers are exposed to harmful chemicals and substances at work. Some factory workers are not allowed to sit. Now if those artists think they're not being paid enough, then they shouldn't have accepted the jon in the first place.
If the reports are true, Phil Lord doesn't sound like a visionary filmmaker as much as a clueless tyrant. You do not just revise fully-rendered work whenever you like, that'd be like reshoot photography for live action after the VFX has already been done. At some point you have to decide on the previs and lock it down. Any changes beyond that must be absolutely minimal
It was also confirmed by Gwen's VA, Hailee Steinfeld, that what is unique about Gwen's dimension, is that it works like a mood ring. The color changes are actual happening in world, its just how their world works.
Which makes it all the more heartbreaking how cut off she is from everyone. Imagine how much effort it takes to hide your true feelings in a world like that.....

Another thing I noticed about 25 seconds into the film, is that we get the flashback to miles in class with her, covering his hand. We then have flashbacks of Gwen doing the same thing, showing that she knew from the beginning.

The spider verse movies are the first films in too long that I’ve seen really embrace animation as a medium of art. This scene is so beautiful and does such a good job breaking my heart every time.
I think the traffic cone thing is supposed to be the default thumbnail for a lot of video files, which would be a fun little easter egg for CGI animators.

It's all the little details blink and you'll miss it kind of things I love with this movie. Especially when looked at closer it helps tell the story a little more about the character.
As a Christian, that scene hit me hard. My family always ate together at the table and prayed before eating. It's a big part of how we relate to each other. We pray together and then talk about our days and share things. We haven't been able to sit at a table and pray together since 2019. Covid hit, and we started doing more TV dinners. Then, in 2022, I moved out. I miss my family
The most jarring is the birthday clip. Everything about it is visually distinct and it completely breaks the flow of the montage. Gwen's in a different position, alone, and with her eyes open. While that kind of pose could easily come across as cool or impressive, the contrast between how peaceful Gwen looks for the rest of the montage and her pose in that one clip is almost painful.
