Being scared but still doing something is bravery, but not being scared of something you should be is ignorance. First introduction of miles was hated not because of racism but because oh how he was introduced. The comic he was introduced in is the ultimate Spiderman where it is the best written spiderman at that time. That spiderman then got killed and was suddenly replaced by miles with no build up. That's why people were furious on miles at that time cuz their fave spiderman just suddenly got replaced by someone they don't know and even got additional powers (invisible thing and the electric stuff).

I love the way Miles reacts to getting bit and how his powers emerge so differently from other Spider-Men. He just swats the spider away like a fly, then his powers just start randomly popping up at inconvenient moments instead of like Maguire who went into a whole spiritual awakening as if he was tripping on ayahuasca after getting bit.

He is literally beyond everything, like I could go on and on talking about him😭 because besides his good humor and goofiness (even during times it’s unnecessary just to lighten up the mood) and his charming personality, i absolutely love how determined he is to do the impossible. And especially after watching the second movie just a few hours ago in the theater, it really tells you how despite of the countless of obstacles miles has gone through, it doesn’t stop him from not giving up to do what he feels is right - and let it not be based on other’s perspectives or opinions - as it’s not only for himself but also for everyone he loves dearly, especially with his parents. Like he’s really such a role model that many people could admire and be inspired by. And plus, bonus points that he’s not only just very intelligent academically wise, but also has an expressive artistic and creative mind (cause i just love guys who can do both of being smart and artistic🤭), and gosh overall, miles is truly one of the best well written characters I have ever come across in my life

The what’s up danger scene too where his hands still stuck to the building a bit (which is why the glass broke) showing he wasn’t fully relaxed but still went for it. And in across the spiderverse too (minor spoiler)
