Good to see another video from you - many thanks! Parts of the "walk" looked more like mountaineering to me, but I would have been fine with it in my younger days, before I lost my head for heights.
Sorry to hear you’ve lost your head for heights Jim that’s a shame, but I’m sure you would have enjoyed the waterfalls and the lakeside path. Thanks as always for watching and commenting we both appreciate it
An absolute stunning hike there both up to Haystacks, and of course Buttermere is always so beautiful to walk round and admire, one of our favourite places!
We agree. Though the scramble seemed to take alot longer than it did a few years ago, maybe we took a slightly different route up or maybe our memories are playing tricks on us 🙂 We are just pleased to still be fit enough to get up and down the fells….and appreciate the wonderful places like Buttermere. Thanks both.
What a serene and beautiful video! 🌄The walk around Haystacks from Buttermere in the Lake District looks incredibly peaceful and picturesque. The silent, sweeping views are simply mesmerizing and capture the essence of nature’s tranquility. Thanks friend for sharing this calming journey! Like 9! We join your channel! 💛
Thanks so much for your lovely comment. The views really are wonderfully picturesque and even though the sun didn’t appear until the end of the day it still shows what a beautiful this area is. We do hope our videos are relaxing and calming so we are happy that you thought it was. Thank you for ‘liking’ and it’s great that you have subscribed too. 👍🙂
Lovey walk and it’s so nice there at haystacks 😊 I’ve not gone up that route before I’ve normally gone from the mine up. Looked very nice though although a little scrambly that way.
We’ve done this route a couple of times and there is a little bit of scrambling here and there but not too difficult. The very first time we did Haystacks (years ago) we went up Fleetwith Pike first then over Haystacks and back down to Gatesgarth where we had parked - phew that was a challenge in a hot day. Like you, we’ve also done it from the mine too which helps avoid all the scrambles 🙂 though we’re sure you could do it Yasmin.
Lovely to relive the walk up/and down one of my favourite mountains.
It’s one of our favourites to, the lakeside walk at the start and end is a bonus 👍
