One thing that gets me, and will probably throw some people off, is that most creators by default name the custom npc with the ID of 751. Which makes sense as thats the first ID in the custom range, but if you happen to already be using another custom npc with that ID, one of them will need to be changed, and sometimes simply changing the filename isnt enough. I've had a couple of instances where i actually also needed to poke through the lua file in order to change the ID number. One such case was because the lua file was looking for a specific ID for the effect file, and the creator wrote the code to look for the exact ID number, rather than making the lua search for the same effect ID as the npc ID. So changing the effect filename would throw an error.

What? Why are you trying to turn a jpeg into an ini file? Just make a new txt file and change the file extension to .ini, and follow the template over in smbx2 -> data -> _templates -> block-n.ini
