The PGA TOUR’s Florida Swing reaches its conclusion this week as the Innisbrook Resort hosts the Valspar Championship. Xander Schauffele tees it up again after his T2 at THE PLAYERS Championship last week. The American has five top-10 finishes in seven events so far this season. He last played Innisbrook in 2022 where he finished T12. Justin Thomas will be in Florida this week and hopes to turn things around after a missed cut at THE PLAYERS Championship. He finished 10th last year and was third the year prior. He’s missed just one cut at the Valspar in his career. Jordan Spieth will also be at Innisbrook this week. He claimed victory here in 2015 and has finished in the top-20 in five of his six starts, including a T3 a year ago. Others to look out for are The Open champion Brian Harman, Tony Finau and Sam Burns.

It's not a double eagle, it's an albatrossss.
If that's a double eagle, why isn't an eagle a double birdie? And an Albatross isn't double/half what an eagle is. It's 1 less.
Lort. Can we please undo the double eagle thing? It's not double anything but y'all sound double dumb.

I've always preferred therm double eagle. Aside from the actual bird, albatross has a negative connotation.
Plus, the term Double Eagle has been around MUCH longer in golf than Albatross. So history is on the side of 'Double Eagle.'

Gene Sarazen had the most famous double eagle in the 1935 Masters on the 15th hole with a 4 wood on Sunday to tie the leader who was in the clubhouse finished playing. Sarazen won in a playoff on the next day.

Double eagle makes no sense. Everything in golf is related to par, not birdie so a double eagle should be -4 not -3

@@rickwilliamson9248 So something that's been around longer is more correct? if eagle is -2, double eagle is -4. You're objectively wrong.

It may not have even stayed on the green if the pin didn't get in the way....and that was how my albatross happened too! Also same club and distance.

Both, an Albatross in golf is a double eagle. Par 5, 2nd shot, 3 shots left.

Commentators know their sports inside out. Hence why they get the jobs. Still though pretty amazing to know that off the top of your head.
