Absolutely amazing video Hayley! Very succinct with great explanations. I like this style of video which complements the longer format podcasts. I have made my first big step towards a career in motion graphics, reducing my work week to 3 days, in July I will leave my career (successful and well paid) in commercial insurance to pursue motion design, which is very exciting but also terrifying! I am interested in hearing from others who have made career changes and leveraging the skills they have from prior jobs . If anyone is London based I'm up for connecting/meeting Also would love to hear from motion designers who use Houdini FX and their journey learning Houdini Happy to provide advice on anyone new to using Blender

very nice video and very clear tips on portfolio!! do you have any tips for motion designers that also do webdesign? i am struggeling with my portfolio because i do animation, web animation and design and build sites...
Thanks again, Sophie! I think the best advice would be to keep them very separate on your portfolio, and potentially even have two different portfolios.. Your clients might see multiple areas and decide to go with someone who is entirely dedicated to motion design and/or web design - but the web animation is a great way to have a foot in both!
