@@cyronrain oh, just now saw this. Wish they would fix their links or at least not falsely advertise. It's broken for multiple "free" guides of theirs - I am guessing it was only for a very limited time and not mentioned.
This is such valuable information Hayley, thanks! I'm a digital media producer (photographer/video editor/videographer) based in Brooklyn, NY. I do some motion graphics and recently started doing content capture and strategy for a client. In my skills development/learning from UA-cam University, I stumbled upon this channel yesterday and have been going through your videos and taking notes since! I found the email templates, CRM and LinkedIn info you provided particularly very helpful. Thanks again!
That's so great to hear! Welcome to the channel! If you have any specific questions we try to answer all of them over here! We have a tonne of resources that we provide so keep your eyes peeled! :)
Nice, looks like you are telling great steps how linked in could be handy to reach out for clients and network with other cool artists and not the other way. Usualy HRs are trying to hunt me. Looks like I don't need to be prey anymore :)
That's great! Absolutely, and connecting with your ideal clients on LinkedIn can warm them up before emailing them.. It's great way to get more of the work you love! Thanks so much for your comment!
Hey! So your showreel is usually a 30-60 second video made from your very best work to show clients - we've just released a video going into this in more details, with some examples! Take a look on our channel! A portfolio is kind of another word for your website, but it should show past projects in more detail. Expect clients to spend more time on this and provide more information about the projects/clients you've worked with! Hope this helps and feel free to reach out with any follow-up questions!
this video has helpful info even if you're not a motion designer (I'm a graphic designer myself). I do have a question though. during the email phase, how does one write with authority if they are starting from zero clients? or even if a freelancer has done some work but not with any recognizable brands, should they skip this section?
Hey! We'd probably recommend looking for some other clients on Linkedin, who have been posting more recently, and then maybe finding where those other potential clients are posting so you can warm them up!
Which step are you going to take action on? Let us know below! ⬇
The Networking seems the most fruitful (so far) for me, yet I'm always willing to expand my techniques. Thank you kindly for your ideas.
@@CristinaMarshal That's good to hear! Let us know how you get on! Thanks for your comment!
Hey the Opt-IN form for your guide isn't working, I just get a blank screen when I try to "Get the free guide". I've tried on multiple browsers.

Thanks so much! I think the best thing to do here would be to skip that part until you have some more you can add! Thanks so much for your comment!
